I recently visiting Rice Thai Dining with a group of 11 friends after a Ski Trip and we could not have had a better experience. We tried several dishes including the Pad See Ew, Pad Kaprow, Whole Tilapia and the Thai Fried Rice and found all the dishes to be well seasoned flavorful. We also tried several desserts including the Coconut Ice Cream and Mango Sticky Rice and it did not disappoint. Lastly our server was kind and attentive and I would definitely recommend this little gem in Hagerstown. read more

Decent little Thai restaurant in downtown Hageratown, MD. We visited a few weeks ago while on a visit to Discovery Station. The fried spring rolls were amazing, and the soup was excellent. The owner was super nice, she took pictures of our whole family while there. They are open for lunch and dinner. Once upon a time, there was a little white car trudging up Appalachia with nothing but a Bose speaker and a dream. It was growing dim outside and the bellies of sweet peas inside the car were growling furiously. Where could they go that was tasty and celiac friendly? After hours and hours of scrolling and trying to find a suitable establishment, they landed upon a gem of a lifetime. Rice Thai Dining. Never had there been a warmer feeling than walking through that door for the first time. They were swiftly seated, slowly taking the time to notice the cozy Christmas tree, Santa decorations, and beaming smiles of the customers surrounding them. Imagine the words "nook and cranny"... that's how this place felt. Like a mouse feasting on a cheddar cube in a little cruck in the wall. The booths made them feel like they were in their own homes, flooded with pillows and friendship. One of them ventured off to the bathroom, an unromantical destination for many. She was pleased to find out that the bathroom didn't reek of crap and wiener, but rather citrus and butterfly breath. The meals were spectacular and warmed their insides as well as Christmas goose. Food was great and menu was full of favorite Thai dishes. Food came out fast (restaurant was not busy at the time). Most dishes range from $10.50 -$12.50. Can't wait to come back. (This appears to be in the old Thai Zap location. For whatever reason, it does not exist on any map or list of downtown Hagerstown restaurants. That needs to be changed! The food is AMAZING, The music they have playing is great and the seating is great, The service was amazing, my mother loved the sauce that came with the spring rolls, and the waiter took notice and gave us some extra, free of charge. The waiter even said that we could stay in here for a while if needed an gave us refills. 10/10.. New favorite restaurant! read more

BTW, the restaurant is now called Rice Thai Dinning. You can still dine in in this restaurant, about 4-5 tables. I had the drunken noodles with pork. It was sweet and spicy, just the right amount. A little salty for my taste, but I enjoyed it anyways. The pork was cooked well. Also had a Thai iced tea which was very strong at first. It mellowed out after the ice melted a little. Overall it was very pleasant experience. The only issue I had was that they ran out of the sticky rice and mango :( read more

Rice Thai is a great option for Thai food in Hagerstown. I have gotten take out both times that I have been here. I enjoyed the Panang Curry very much. I will get that again next time I get takeout. The ambiance in the restaurant seems wonderful as well. There is parking right next door. read more

Really delicious and authentic Thai food! Ordered beef pad thai and chicken pad see ew and the portion sizes were large and tasty. They were very kid friendly with kids cups, serving utensils and steamed vegetables. Would definitely recommend going out of your way and stopping by next time you're in Hagerstown. read more

First timer here. Authentic thai food. The customer service was not that bad but the guy taking the order seemed impatient and annoyed (which was a no no). Tried a few new things this trip. The spicy salted shrimp with green beans was very flavorful, and the seaweed salad was about as good as we ever had. This is a BYOB restaurant, which really keeps the total tab down. You can have a great meal here with excellent service for a reasonable amount. read more

My husband and I have had a handful of date nights in the last year...most of them have been to Hana Thai. If we lived closer, we would probably get take out weekly. We have our three favorites: the Crying Tiger Salad, Salty Spicy Shrimp and Khao Soi. Then for funsies, we try something new every time. Kind of like create our own buffet...and the leftovers never disappoint. If I could figure out the dressing for the Crying Tiger, Id drink it with a straw. I'm not sure what kind of batter the Salty Spicy Shrimp is done in, its super crunchy and really NOT overly salty. The Khao Soi is the most mind blowing blend of textures and flavors-pickled vegetables. Crunchy noodles. Crispy onions. Soft egg noodles. Creamy two toned curry soup. We haven't tried a single thing we didn't like-and we've been regulars for YEARS. read more

I ordered take out dishes yesterday (10/19/2020). The 3 dishes I took home were a disappointment. Did the restaurant changed the chef? The padThai did not have its essential ingredients (bean sprouts, etc), the crispy duck must been from duck frozen months ago and it did not help that the quantity and qualify of it is not as expected by a returning pre-covid customer. The sticky rice was not fresh. Today, I called the restaurant to give them this feedback but they were closed and their mailbox is full. Hana Thai has just lost a regular customer. read more

My wife and I have made a point of stopping in Hagerstown recently for the sole purpose of going to this restaurant, primarily for their drunken noodles, which are very good; last time we got drunken noodles, we didn't even request them to be very spicy but they were still sufficiently spicy.
