I made a last-minute appointment to check out Rich Nails at 1106 Hull Street in Richmond, VA, and I'm so glad I did! The aesthetics of the salon truly live up to the name--very sleek and "rich." From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top notch. I was greeted right away and even offered a drink while I waited. My technician, Lay, was wonderful--attentive, detail-oriented, and thoughtful. She gave me recommendations based on the health of my natural nails, which I really appreciated. One of my favorite touches was the sugar scrub they use to wash your hands. Such a nice (and necessary!) way to refresh and remove dead skin before starting. Lay made sure my nails were perfectly shaped, uniform, and beautifully designed. The attention to detail was outstanding. They offer a wide variety of services, and I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality nail care with a luxury feel. I have been going to Rich Nail Salon to Nail Technician Ari going on 2 years. I love getting my pedicure done at Rich's. It is a very clean & very relaxing nail care experience. I love the way this business treats it's customers, like we matter to them. The staff always goes above & beyond to make us as customers feel valued. I cannot recommend Rich Nail enough. If considerate & high quality mail care is important to you, this is the establishment to go to. I recently took my daughter there for her birthday to get her nails done[see included picture] & her nails look magnificent. Its been 1 day and my manicure and GEL pedi is already falling apart. My gel pedicures usually last me 3 months... not sure why an entire pinkie nail came off I did not hit it or anything. The vibe and the ambiance was great and they definitely took their time however the quality of the work was poor as it began falling apart so quickly. I spent $95 for a regular mani and a gel pedicure for it to fall apart a day later... I figured let me support a Black owned business but I will not be returning here again. I could have gotten a full set and a gel pedicure from the Asains that would have lasted me a LONG time. This was SO disappointing as I was really looking forward to trying this spot out. I love this nail salon. It's great to be a RICH girl! This space has high quality products in a luxurious environment with the best nail techs. I came here for a spa day with my Mom and they were incredibly accommodating. She has a really sensitive nose and they were very kind to leave the door open for her to air out the space. Terri and Kayla did our nails on this visit. I adore the DND brand nail polish here. It lasts a long time and has the best color options. This time I chose a gorgeous color called Mother of Pearl. I wanted something shiny for New Year's and this was the perfect color. We did the Classy & Chic bundle. It's $70 if you do regular polish and an additional $15 for gel. Totally worth it for the treatment and pampering you get here. The sugar scrub smells incredible and if one of my favorite parts. After an appointment you can CashApp or Venmo your nail tech for a tip. Kayla was extra kind to my Mom. When she wasn't a fan of how her nails turned out, Kayla took the time to add an extra layer of glitter to make it look richer and more opaque. She was really happy with the end result. This local gem is located in Manchester and has free street parking nearby and a bus stop out front. It's extremely clean and cozy. The bathroom is very chic here too. You enter a section that is shared with other businesses, but the RICH Nails bathroom door is clearly marked. I've loved every experience I've had here and am quick to recommend this spot if you're looking for a great nail salon. read more

Been coming here for quite a while now, my nail tech started at this shop a few months ago and I was super thrilled! Not only is it just a block away from where I live but the customer service of all the other nail techs here is stellar, friendly and knowledgeable. Not sure why the reviews are so low, every time I'm here I'm offered water, snacks, wine, there's a great ambience with relaxing music playing and such a friendly environment. All the women here help each other learn different things and nail techniques, as a customer from the outside looking in, there is such a strong team effort and very comforting to watch. Not to mention the interior design is immaculate, always clean, elegant decor, I've met the owner and she is so inspiring, as a woman of color opening up a thriving business with other women of color who are all entrepreneurs in their own way! I've only come for acrylic services but I'm sure they have the same level of perfection in all areas. I love Rich Nails location is convenient to thriving restaurants up and down hull street, you can literally get your nails done and head straight to brunch or do some shopping. I can go on and on but stop by and see for yourself, never had a any bad experiences and I've been all over Richmond and have had quite the trauma, it's hard looking for a home base salon and I got lucky! read more

Beautiful black owned full service nail salon right in the heart of Manchester. The staff here is full of women who are super knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. The cleanliness is superb, they play music, and even serve complimentary wine. It's really a nice and relaxing vibe. I received the Classy & Chic bundle from Kayla and I enjoyed every minute of it. I had a Structured Gel Manicure today and it was one of the best nail appointments I have ever had! I had to reschedule my appointment and they were more than accommodating. My nail technician Ty was amazing, she was sweet, engaging and enthusiastic. My nails were a mess and she took time and care to groom them to a stellar look. As a newly relocated person in Richmond, I can't recommend this place enough! The salon is beautiful and really clean. All utensils were sterilized and the table was tidy and neat. My daughter and I had an amazing experience today. For me, the tone of a salon is always set by if I am greeted when I walk in. When I opened the door to the lounge I received a very warm, inviting, welcome from a pleasant woman with a big smile on her face. I gave her my name but because they are prepared, she already knew who I was. During my visit, on the occasions that a guest would come in while she was not at the front desk, a nail technician was always waiting to give the same welcoming greeting. My daughter received a manicure and pedicure, and I was so impressed that she received the same treatment that an adult would receive. In my experience, her mani and pedis really just end up being her feet briefly soaked and a quick polish of her nails and toes. They took great care of her, carefully cleaning up and shaping her nails, scrubbing her hands, and giving her a full, luxurious pedicure experience with all the bells and whistles. I appreciate that despite her being a child, they did not cut any corners when executing her service. I opted for a signature pedicure which was absolutely amazing. I went for a more basic pedicure to align with my daughter's appointment length, but I will be returning to experience one of their more involved pedicure packages. I truly can't wait because the signature was so detailed that anything above this must be the ultimate pampering session. The techs were kind, personable, and gentle but thorough. They aimed to make sure you were always comfortable and receiving what you wanted. The entire place is clean and the techs are very sanitary. I appreciate the location because there was no shortage of food options when I left (although they do offer you snacks and beverages!) , and I was able to easily find street parking that was close to the entrance. I do not anticipate ever having difficulty finding parking in the future either, so do not let the location deter you. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This place is exceptional, and a much needed addition to the Richmond beauty community. read more
