Vinson was my main PT, and was very attentive with any issues I was having during my recovery. He always adjusted my exercises and stretches as needed and was very adamant on getting me healed up as quickly as possible. He knew when to push me and when to let off the gas. Aaron was also amazing. He always had jokes and we ended up talking about common interests throughout my time there, making my PT visits seem more like hanging out with a friend. He was also extremely attentive and always told me when I was going too hard on the bike! Lastly, the receptionists were very personable and knowledgeable. With this being my first big injury and first time at PT, they made my experience super easy and accommodating, explaining medical benefits when I had questions and always reminding me of my appointments. Overall, I would highly recommend POA. Of course I hope no one has to go, but if you do, just know that you are in great hands!

So, here's the deal…read more.. I'm not one of those Burlingame trophy wives who has tennis elbow - I hurt my back slinging 80 lb. bags of concrete and 92.5 lb. bags of lye in a lumberyard at the height of summer in Georgetown, Texas. Your tennis elbow can suck it. That said, these people are effective at what they do. They make you work. You feel like you've done something that will actually help your condition, whatever that may be. This is unlike all other physical therapists where they have you do a couple stretches and maybe six minutes on a treadmill and you never break a sweat. Which is good. Further, Marie (I can't remember her name), is awesome at suggesting new activities and mixing it up so it doesn't get boring. They give you the tools you need to get better. What is not good about STA? They seem to double and triple book their patients so much so that the least amount of time I've spent there is one and a half hours. The maximum amount of time I've spent there is three hours and five minutes. My treatment on average takes an hour forty-five to three hours. The employees run around and bust ass, but they never seem to catch up. As someone who is working full time and is trying to make appointments after work to find a place to live in the Bay Area, this doesn't work for me. I can do an hour and thirty minutes, but any longer and it just feels gratuitous. Also, if you are going to take the time to put thirty-seven signs that say "NO WHINING" all over the walls, take your own goddamn advice and stop bitching about how you have sooooo many patients and you aren't gonna make it to the ball game. We have lives too.

At the end of the call I thanked her and she just said "mm" and hung up. This is obviously no way to treat a potential client. Hopefully, the owner will reply to my concern and I'll be able to update this review with a better score. Update: Owner called back right away, took my concern seriously and sounds like she's on top of things, so the extra star is for her. Fortunately, I found another PT place in the same neighborhood and spoke to a much more pleasant and professional receptionist on the phone, so I won't have to worry about seeing whoever I spoke to at Ocean again.

Thankfully located less than 5 miles from my house I can realistically show up twice a week. -- I was a interesting case- not your typical ortho rehab- rather damage to my femoral nerve vein. Grace's knowledge about anatomy has been profoundly healing for me. I am progressing weekly / and feeling more confident to walk. Can't wait until I can "run."

I was referred here by my crazy expensive doctor as a way to totally rip me off. My doctor…read moremisdiagnosed me with "tendonitis" and then sent me here for PT and they couldn't even property treat the issue. NOTE: the issue was later property diagnosed by two other doctors. When I booked my first appointment, all they were concerned about was getting me on the books for 8 appointments, and completely unconcerned about whether they were necessary or not. After several treatments of "pull on this rubber band", I had enough of the layering of services to jack up the price and not being able to know what I was being charged for until months later. James is nice enough and knows his stuff, and the PT staff are amicable, but like other reviewers have mentioned, the billing here is a mess. The office staff is incredibly incompetent and I actually had to stop the exquisitely dumb receptionist mid-sentence from reading all of my personal, financial, and credit information to the entire waiting room and PT office. This is totally unacceptable practice and I definitely won't be back.

The front end receptions are the worst. Tried to make an appointment for the 1st time, left several…read moremessages and couple weeks later no return calls. Came here and they literally tossed a clip board at me to fill out the forms. Every time I talk to them they don't know what they are talking about such as scheduling and are rude about it. The rooms and equipment are not cleaned after use or treatments. You see them asking patients move from one machine to another but never see anyone cleaning it before or after. In the evaluation rooms, there are no paper lining the tables but they tell patients to lie on them and never see anyone wipe before of after. Even the tables only have air fresheners and no cleaners. The only reason for the amount of stars that they are getting is because Dan knows his stuff. Thought I was never going to go back after the 1st visit but Dan brought attention to a lot of things my doctors failed.
