He was my second opinion of a molar that I was told that I had to do a "root canal" because my filling was too big to replace. I was also told I had a few little cavities that need to be removed/filled. So when he saw me, he told me that he can save my tooth and he did. He ended up capping it:) Better than a root canal. He also told me that he didn't see any cavities which was nice to hear, since I make sure I visit my dentist 2x a year and brush n floss daily as well. His staff is also very friendly and makes you feel important, like you're the only patient in the office:) The only reason why I didn't give him 5 stars, is that his office is not open on Saturdays. But overall, I would recommend him for your yearly check ups and dental fillings. There's plenty of parking since his office is in a strip mall with it's own parking lot in a corner of a stop light. It's nice that you're also able to get in and get out.

I am in need of a new dentist now because our old dentist in Bensenville sadly passed away. Maryann Michael is probably the worst dentist I have ever gone to in my life. I went to her several years ago when I had severe pain from a tooth that went bad, It had to be removed. She removed it, but I noticed even at this first visit ever with her, she was impatient about how long it took for the anesthetic to start working. But a short while after the tooth was removed my pain was gone, even later that evening. So a few months later I had a different problem with a tooth, so I went to her again. Big mistake on my part! She had to pull another tooth, and she was having extreme difficulty pulling. When she finally removed the tooth, and the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet, I was still bleeding a lot. When I went to check out and I told her I was still bleeding and in pain. She said (very snarky) "Oh you'll be alright". That was my last visit to her office.

I have not slept ever since I was seen by her! I am leaving her and will never comeback! I had the worst experience in my life.. I feel like I'm going to have PTSD over this! I came to her as a second chance because of her good reviews online. I showed up for an appointment yesterday not knowing what she is going to do with me. I arrived and the staff told me we are only doing the fillings- so okay..nervous because the last time she cleaned my teeth she hurt me. As we were talking about the fillings she asked how my bad root canal tooth was doing. I said that it did still bother me. Then she insisted we are pulling it out today instead! I was so shocked, i said NO! i wasnt ready for that. But she kept manipulating me, I feel harassed and cornered. I didnt want her to pull my tooth out but she said its for my health so I hesitatedly agreed because she is the doctor. I trusted her though I was hesitant and told her NO. Soon as the anesthesia was done she was going to pull it right away. I was shocked again because normally anesthesia takes 10 minutes or so to get working. And when she started, I felt pain! i told her and she kept telling me "it was just pressure". But in reality, it hurt like the bothering pain i would feel. After she was "done" she left a little sharp tooth hanging in my mouth!!! I noticed afterwards with all the gauze in my mouth! I cried!!!!! I dont ever want to go back to her, even if she fixes this for free! Now I can't sleep because i think about my experience!!!! My cheek felt the sharp little tooth hanging! I hate myself for coming to her. I cannot believe this is happening to me. My previous dentists never forced me to do anything that made me uncomfortable. I had to raise my hand multiple times to Maryan Michael because of how uncomfortable it was.. I've never closed my eyes and squeezed so hard during a dental visit. That was my 4th tooth being pulled out in my life and the worst ever. I literally cannot sleep and thats all that was running in my head while trying to sleep. This office is in a hospital and only ONE staff member looked put together. Maryan Michael's assistant was dressed unprofessional (wore a hoodie). Also, Maryan Michael's uniform was a mess. Amber and Frida on the front desk were responsive, organized, and polite and got me scheduled and everything setup up before I came in which made it very smooth. From the actual "teeth-cleaning" side, I have some serious gag reflex issues which make the bite x-rays nearly impossible. I explained this to Dr. Khan and the assistants Judy and Joaquin, and they were totally understanding. I really appreciated the fact that they acknowledged if I've tried some of the "tricks" in the past (I've tried them all, I'm 35 so this has been going on my whole life essentially) that there's probably nothing to be done to avoid it other than doing a different type of x-ray. They were able to use the panoramic machine to do those x-rays, saving us all the suffering that is my typical struggle. Dr. Khan was also very informative with regard to my initial evaluation, and didn't do the thing I've found is all to common with some dentists - trying to sell a bunch of bolt-on services I didn't need. He did my cleaning and told me a few things to watch out for. Overall, really, really great experience. Glad I found the place.
