After installing a Drug Coated Heart Stent, I was having some Negative Issues. Doctor told COMPETENT Nursing Staff that HE, due to Negative Symptoms Patient was Experiencing, that BEFORE I was to be Released, he wanted to conduct a last Test to verify I was NOT having any Blood Clotting Issues in new Stent. Had me NEEDLESSLY STAY, and PAY FOR, another 2 days! Day of Scheduled Test, later in day, 2 different CONCERNED Nurses came in and Asked if I had heard WHEN the Doctor was going to do his Test? Told them I have NOT HEARD ANYTHING! Later in day, another Nurse came in and asked the same question as the other 2. AGAIN, told her I had NO IDEA! She went to check on my Scheduled Heart Imaging and said she WILL FIND OUT and let me know! SHE NEVER RETURNED! Obviously, SOMEONE gave a "STAND DOWN ORDER" to let the Patient PASS. NEVER Told Nurses, nor PATIENT, that My Best Interest Concerns had been CANCELED! I was, and Still Am, Concerned about my Health and having even MORE Negative Issues that Appear to be related to New Heart Stent. I was fortunate to have Ms. Rachel Perkins as my Therapist and get in when she first started. Over the course of several months, before touch up and after, she was able to work me back into productivity. I was amazed at her ability to find the exact spot I said was bothering me, whereas others would poke around, she knew the exact muscle that was my issue. She was also a stickler for not cheating myself. During one of my follow ups with my Doc, I mentioned her name as I knew they had recently met at TWU event. He told me "She is great, she teaches all the new techniques properly". If you need PT go visit them and let them work with you to get right. I can't say enough. To complicate matters my other knee is bone on bone and also has to be replaced so it was a balancing act to recover a new knee with only the help of a bad knee.. Rebecca and Moi kept me progressing at a positive but comfortable rate that i could handle. I am 85 years old and I was a little apprehensive about going to a "Sports Med" facility, but don't let the name misguide you, there are young and old in there equally getting the required treatment they need at their point in life. If you need any type of therapy go to D&D, you will be glad you did.
