My nightmare with this lunatic keeps being pulled!!!!…read more February 5th, 2016 *Came to Dr. Bash for tooth pain in right upper molar (tooth #2). *He looked at the tooth and tapped on it. He said " you need a root canal on this tooth, but I think we should pull it and get you dentures as we have discussed." *I told him, " please stop talking about me getting dentures!!!! " I said, if possible, I want to save a good tooth" He continued to talk about dentures which was upsetting to me. I then told him I had contacted Simply Beautiful Smiles and was seeing Dr. Bunin in Langhorne on February 9th ( he is a prosthodontist for Simply Beautiful Smiles). *He then said, "Oh! I don't know about that guy! He has worked at 8 different offices." I told him he is a prosthodontist who specializes in restorative dentistry. I also reiterated that he stop talking about " getting me in dentures". * there was an older gentleman on the other side of partition whose daughter or care taker brought in. * Dr. Bash walked around the partition to talk to this patient he was treating simultaneously. I heard Dr. Bash say to this patient " this tooth needs a root canal, but I think we should pull it and let me make you denture or implant". *Dr. Bash came back to me and began injecting anesthesia . The injections were given very forcefully and quickly ( I had NEVER experienced injections like this.).. all my other numerous dentists had always injected my mouth extremely slow and usually waited a minute or two before injecting again. As he continued these rapid and forceful injections I felt extreme fear and pain. I could not understand why he was being so rough as I had never ever experienced this with any dentist before. He continued with procedure and stopped to inject me with a few more extremely rough fast injections. I felt a horrible electrical shock- like feeling during this round of injections along with stabbing and intense pain and started crying. He said, Toni, if you don't knock it off, we are gonna have to stop!". I managed to calm myself as he proceeded. All of a sudden, I felt a horrific fire like sensation throughout my the right side of my face, ear and jaw. I began screaming loudly. Dr. Bash immediately walked around to the other side of petition. I was left alone screaming in pain. NO ONE CAME TO MY AID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sat screaming for close to 5 minutes and no one helped me, touched me or told me what was happening! Dr. Bash's pet dog was jumping on my stomach. This dog smelled very bad and I managed to scream " please get the dog off me". Eventually, the dental assistant removed the dog from my lap without a word to me. Dr. Bash was nowhere in site. No one offered me assistance or any aid as I sat screaming. I saw Dr. Bash come from around the partition where he was also treating the older man who came in at the same time I did. After a minimum of 5 minutes since the burning pain began,Dr. Bash came to me and removed the rubber dam, looked at my mouth and said " you have to get to the ER!" I was still screaming and crying, again, no one offered any help or told me what was happening. I texted a friend ( Fred Saldutti) who picked me up and drove me to Doylestown Hospital ER. * I was screaming and in a fetal position upon arrival to ER....the pain was beyond anything I had ever experienced. I was immediately put on IV decadron, dilaudid and antibiotics. * After 3 injections of dilaudid, I was able to be taken to receive a CT scan. * I was admitted to ICU on February 5th at approximately 8PM. FEB, 7th 2016 Released from Hospital ( given pain meds, oral prednisone and antibiotics) FEB, 8TH, 2016 - hole in upper pallet opened where numerous injections were administered. Hole is big and frightening! FEBRUARY 9,2016 * Dr. Bash called me and Fred several times a day since February 5th. He also left 2 voice mails on my phone saying " he was concerned about the fact I had Ehler's Danlos"! I have never had genetic and conclusive testing, but was told by a dermatologist that I presented with EDS, based on the Beighton Scale. I always make sure that it is always in my dental medical intake, as this always calls FOR GENTLE INSTRUMENTATION!!!!!! Dr. Bash, obviously did not read my medical intake, as his injections were ROUGH, VIGOROUS, EXTREMELY FAST .

I am a 23 year old Chinese American woman. I arrive at the office around 2:20pm on Thanksgiving,…read moreThursday, November 25, 2021. Dr. Bash was the most unprofessional, racist, and careless healthcare provider I have ever had. At first I thought this new practice was good after reading some good reviews and meeting Winkle, the therapy dog. When Dr. Bash first came in to greet me he asked where I was from to which I replied "Philly." He said that it was a "war zone" done there and mentioned something about "shooting people" in the war from Vietnam, which is terrifying for me as a young Asian woman. He said "I'd just shoot back." This was my first red flag. Dr. Bash went on to ask me about my name whether it was Korean or Chinese to which I replied "Chinese." He immediately made a comment about how that was good because "they're (the Chinese/government) is taking over." I looked at my partner who was sitting with me and was speechless. I was in pain so I didn't have much energy to say anything. My partner went over to the assistant and demanded Dr. Bash apologize and that he shouldn't speak that way to me because it's racist. The assistant told Dr. Bash to apologize and he reluctantly said "sorry" and wrote it off. The assistant said "he's just old school and that they treat all kinds of people," which is not an appropriate response. Dr. Bash then proceeded to say his wife was Asian and so is the assistant he pointed at and said "and whatever she is." More red flags. The assistant reluctantly laughed off the comment. It was incredibly uncomfortable and micro-aggressive. I can't imagine this work environment as even I, a patient, was extremely unsettled. It was inappropriate and unprofessional. I did not feel safe at all in the care of this dentist. I was afraid to speak up as this man was literally about to put a needle in my mouth and drill. After that was done, Dr. Bash started telling me about me possibly needing a root canal or cap for my teeth when I originally just came in for a chipped tooth, clearly upselling someone in an emergency. I felt unsafe and uncared for. He reprimanded me about my dentist and that I have bad judgement and that I shouldn't go back to my dentist because of the past work I had done was "poor" in his eyes. He said "his hands should be chopped off." He also kept saying how dentists in network don't care for patients and they just want money and that my current dentist was waiting for my teeth to worsen to collect more money. These were all more red flags that I had to disregard because of the state of pain I was in and the lack of availability due to holiday. I had never felt so uncomfortable or uncared for in the presence of a healthcare provider. I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Bash and this practice and I wholeheartedly believe this doctor is not well equipped to continue the job he has been doing. Lack of regard and social awareness for people of other creed is dangerous and has real life effects, as evidence of the care from this day.

Disappointing, Untrustworthy, and Focused on Sales Not Patient Care…read more I was deeply disappointed with my experience at American Dental. This is not a professional dental office it feels like a high-pressure, profit-driven operation, more focused on upselling than on genuine patient care. My longtime dentist and close friend, who recently passed away after a long battle with cancer, always provided honest guidance and transparent care. I trusted his judgment completely. This was my first visit to American Dental, and they handed me a "Treatment Plan" totaling $8,340 for procedures my former dentist never mentioned. If I truly needed that level of work, he would have discussed it with me. The hygienist spent maybe ten minutes cleaning my teeth, and I had to ask for the gingival margin measurement myself. The cleaning was so rushed I ended up having it redone. The hygienist seemed far more interested in selling me a fluoride treatment than in performing a thorough cleaning. The office did not feel especially clean or hygienic, which is concerning for a medical setting. After decades of excellent dental care, this was a shock. If my former dentist was the Bentley of dentistry, this place is the 1978 Pontiac -- and not a classic, but a dented, rusted one. Proceed with caution.
