My appointment was scheduled for 1:20 p.m., and through pure operator error (completely my fault), I accidentally went to the wrong location. I had went to the Texas department of transportation. Then I drove to McKinney location only to realize my appointment wasn't there either it was in Plano, about 30 minutes away. Talk about panic mode! I had been waiting for this appointment since last August and thought I had completely blown it. By the time I arrived in Plano, I was late, stressed, desperately needed a restroom, and was convinced I'd be marked as a no-show. That's when I met Ms. Mona. She greeted me with kindness, directed me to the kiosk, and when my ticket showed "No Show," she didn't just send me away. She calmly suggested I speak with the representative at the window because they might still be able to work me in, even though they were very busy. That little bit of encouragement gave me hope. Then I met Ms. Esther, and she was nothing short of an angel. Everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong. My utility bill had the wrong address, so I had to email new proof of residency. I realized my vehicle registration was still in my car, so I had to run back outside to get it. Then I needed my veteran's proof of service...another trip to the car. I was definitely getting my steps in that afternoon! To top it all off, I accidentally emailed my documents to the wrong email address because I forgot part of the address and even misspelled "department." I was rushing, overwhelmed, and honestly on the verge of a panic attack. Through every bit of it, Ms. Esther never once acted frustrated. No eye rolls. No impatience. No attitude. She was patient, professional, encouraging, and genuinely kind. She gave me until 2:40 p.m. to get everything submitted, and thanks to her grace, I finally got checked in at 2:49 p.m. My number was called at 3:28 p.m., and I walked out with my new Texas driver's license at 4:09 p.m. Looking back, every single problem that day was my own doing. Had I slowed down, double-checked the address, and organized my paperwork before leaving home, the appointment would have been smooth. But instead of making me feel worse, the staff treated me with compassion and respect. The facility itself was clean, with plenty of parking, clean restrooms, ample seating, and friendly employees throughout the building. Thank you, Ms. Mona, for giving me hope when I thought I'd lost my appointment. Thank you, Ms. Esther, for your patience, your professionalism, and your kindness. You probably don't realize it, but you saved me from a panic attack, a migraine, and a whole lot of tears that afternoon. Customer service like yours deserves to be recognized. Thank you for turning one of the most stressful days into one I'll actually remember with gratitude

An appointment I was dreading could not have gone smoother. I checked in 30 minutes prior to my appointment (the maximum allowed). I didn't exactly clock how long it took me, but I was in and out and back on the road well before my scheduled appointment time and the person I worked with could not have been more pleasant!

I returned and it was unlocked. It wasn't housekeeping because my room was not clean. I requested camera footage from the hotel and was denied. I asked an officer to request camera footage. He declined. He stated that since nothing was taken, there was no reason to investigate. He said that the police are reactionary and not proactive. Asked him if he was okay with that. He said he was not going to investigate something where there is no proof of anything happening. If a woman gets assaulted or kidnapped and sold into sex trafficking, it's on y'all now.

That said, I would strongly recommend avoiding the lady at the first booth if possible. My interaction there felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which stood out compared to the rest of the team. Thankfully, once I got past that initial step, the rest of the experience was much more positive. Overall, good customer service from most of the staff, but that first impression could definitely use some improvement.

Ok, I had to go in person to renew my driver's license because I did it online the last time. The…read morelast I went in person the DPS person that I got was soooo rude and unpleasant. So I was truly dreading this trip. My license doesn't expire for another 5 months, but I thought -I'll schedule this earlier so if anything gets screwed up, I'll have plenty of time to fix it. Got there at around 740am for an 8am appointment. Tried to check in online, but it said it couldn't tell my location. Used the kiosk right inside the door, no line and super quick. Got my number, had to fill out a form and then waited. My number got called went back and was out the door at 817am. The best part was Kevin who did my paperwork at Station 54. He was super nice and kind, and we joked that he would filter my neck and do some air brushing on the face. I truly appreciated him, especially after my last experience. Maybe next time I won't stress about it because of my great encounter with Kevin. Give the man a raise!

It's in Garland, Texas, a town not far from where I live. And it felt like a kids paradise from the moment I walked down the stairs into the children's area. I saw children gathered around for a special event, and they were all filled with joy and many were giggling. What a beautiful experience it was to see such happiness around books. And isn't that what being a child is supposed to be like? The walls were covered with creative nature scenes, just like you're walking into a storybook. And they carved out the sweetest little reading nooks so you could enjoy your time, privately, with a great story. There was a wonderful artistic mobile hanging over the area where you walk down to the children's area, and fun seating for storytime readings. And let's not miss out on the slide kids can go down to get to the children's area. What a fun idea! Hats off to whomever thought that one through! Every person I talked to in this library was genuinely nice. It truly felt like a safe and happy place to be - for both children and adults. I'm coming back with my grandchildren, and I already know it will be a great adventure for us all!

I offered to drive him home since I hadn't been drinking. He threw an unopened 12 pack into the trunk and I drove his car for him. I was pulled over as I didn't dim my headlights to the oncoming police car (wasn't my car so I was unfamiliar with the floor mounted dimmer switch). I was pulled over immediately and the first thing the cop did (officer Bishop)...is try to tell me I was drunk. Once I passed all his BS tests and a breath analyzer (0.0 bac was my result) the jerk asked if there was any beer in the car. I WAS HONEST and told him there was an unopened 12 pack in the truck and guess what......Both myself and my friend were taken to Jail and car was towed. We spent the night in jail and both got tickets for "minor in Posession of Alcohol". Moral of the story.....Hats off to officer Savage and Officer Bishop......... Both of whom had no common sense approach and instead... Threw the book at us. Since then....I never volunteered to drive a friend home again who had had too much to drink. You set a good example Officer Bishop and officer Savage! Great Job in the Community!!!! Another total scam the UP cops ran for years......They wrote many of the HP high school students bookoos parking tickets due to the stupid 2 hour parking spaces all around the school.
