A few others came and hour later and it was still quiet. While the hearing was going on, I sat in the waiting area and talked to the individual providing security. He is actually part of Homeland Security, he's not a contract business. Found that interesting. He was a great guy, passed the hour and half pretty fast chatting with him since it wasn't busy. Place is clean. There was another older gentleman on the other side of the sliding glass window answering phones. That was sort of weird actually, he was a bit loud even even with the window closed. Building is nice. Not sure it's age, tho it doesn't look old. Been well kept. Exterior shares a cobblestone drive courtyard with a high rise hotel. It's really pretty out there with all of the trees. If you come here, it's because you have to, it's not a place to recommend as it's not an elective place to attend. Tho, if you do have to come, it's a pleasant experience.

Here's the kicker, at some point a certified birth certificate is not acceptable? Go figure.. She was told needed a doctor's statement with name & dob signed & stamped!! Kid you not! The response to shock was "I don't know this is you" This says welcome FRAUD. We all know there are bad actors in every profession. So you could create multiple versions of identities. Sent request to Doctor office, stated had to be stamped. Finally got the letter, no stamp (they don't have one) Went right back, 20-25 minutes later process completed. Birth Certificate works to get a passport (at least it did) Can you think of any reason it would not be accepted for replacement SS Card & since when? Oh! If you are trying to get SSD for anyone this after 400+ days. 1st thing I heard when I got a person is well you know Covid-19 backlog! First, it is conveniently located at the corner of Arapaho and Interstate 75. Second, there is plenty of parking for attendees of the event. Third, it has more of a neighborhood appeal to it as it is nestled close to a library, the post office, and a neighborhood. Fourth, the venue is versatile enough to handle multiple sizes of events from a small meeting to a large trade show.

The space was a bit outdated. The presenter needed to use a handheld microphone because the clip on mic didn't work well. They did provide water with big cups which was appreciated. Chairs were rock hard so it was uncomfortable sitting for an 8 hour training. For those coming from out of town, it was hard to get anywhere unless you get an Uber or Lyft. I don't think I'll be back unless I absolutely have to. Please update your facilities.

I moved to Plano from Reno, Nevada and was blown away at the service of the people and the efficiency of the office. I registered a trailer, motorcycle, and two vehicles and was in and out in about 20 minutes flat. I just got back from there to get a document notarized and didn't even have to wait in line. For a community service job, these people always seem to be happy. Now if only the drivers license office was run by the registration office. That place needs some serious work, but that's another review.

I personally participate in the Crime Watch Patrol program. You are trained in how to be "extra eyes and ears" in your neighborhood. I am extremely proud of the men and women in the Richardson Police Department, but they can't be everywhere. The crime watch patrol members in my area were given a personal tour of the police department and I am proud that our tax dollars support our PD!

I asked if it was too late, they said you're 2 minutes early. I received the best customer service you would ever imagine at a court house. They were so friendly, polite and very professional. This was my first time to file in this court house, they took the time to explain everything in detail. They were a pleasure!

Who the heck writes a review for a government center? I do...and let me tell you...this place…read moredoesn't suck as bad as you think it will. Sure its not fun to go and stand in line to get your plates, registration or other government related business done, but you have to sometimes. The great thing about this place is, they seem to move people along pretty quickly and get you in/out and back on your way. Think "under 20 min" type of fast! Also, the times I've been here, I've never seen any of the employees just standing around, not helping, while one window is open...and everyone is just STARING and the lazy employees standing around (looking at you post office). No..instead you have several windows open of people who are happy to help you with whatever process you need, and friendly enough to engage in conversation distracting enough to make the time fly by. Props to whoever is hiring and training these government workers. Tip: do be sure to bring in all your documents including vehicle insurance if you're getting a new registration sticker. Also don't forget this is a government building so leave those kids and firearms in the car! Overall, I don't dread going to this place because I know I'll be out quickly and I won't wait in line for an ungodly amount of time. Enjoy!
