We stopped in Jones Antiques and found this is a very nice store. We spent a few hours in there and in reading up on the place after the fact I found out that we missed the entire basement where they have caused World War I, World War II, and Civil War memorabilia. We will definitely have to go back and catch the basement part of the store. As we perused the shop it looked like they had a little bit of everything and in all kinds of price ranges from $5 record albums up into the unapproachable numbers for some of the items. Well at least for me LOL. I did find an item that I brought home, I recently remodeled my bathroom in a lake theme and found this beautiful mermaid that fit my decor perfectly. Take a look at the photos to get some idea of what they have. I love browsing this kind of store you never know what you are going to find! We will definitely be stopping here when we get back to Cookeville once again. These places sure conjure up the memories!

Interestingly enough, we were actually interested in buying the things we were touching. Unfortunately, it's hard to know what record to buy without looking at them. How do you know if a trumpet works? There was never any hospitality or politeness, no mention of "hey yall." Instead we got "yall are really getting on my nerves" This racist act shines very poorly on Downtown Cookeville.

LASIK Eye Surgery is a game changer!…read more I've been a glasses and contacts wearer for over 25 years. I've been contemplating Lasik Eye Surgery for going on 10 years. The fear of having eye surgery always kept me from going through with Lasik. After many discussions with Donna, the Lasik Eye Coordinator I made the decision to go through with Lasik. The initial consult with Dr. Hudson eased all my fears of Lasik. She was very thorough with testing to ensure I was a good candidate for Lasik. When she told me I was a good candidate, that gave me the confidence I needed to do the surgery. The day of surgery went smoothly! Dr. Hudson walked me through the entire process during surgery. I was nervous but she calmed all my fears. Post op has been great as well. The day after surgery was my first appointment. I like the fact she truly takes care for her patients before, during, and after care. I still can't believe I no longer need glasses or contacts. My eye sight was 20/20 the day after surgery. My quality of life is so much better already. I no longer have to worry about where my glasses are or if I have enough contacts and solution. The freedom I have now is like an outlook on life!
