He took the time to show me as well as refresh my husband on how to maneuver this specific type of boat and was very pleasan and friendly. he was right on top of getting back to us with any questions and getting a back up battery for the speaker system was so quick! we were expecting a month and it was done the same week. we've had nothing but great experiences with Richardson's and with Tim. we'd recommend this marina to anyone! read more

Do not waste your time or money with these people. I made the mistake for a few years and I feel like an idiot for giving them chance after chance to do the right thing. Richardsons is incapable of servicing their customers in a competent or respectable manner. read more

I have been a customer of Richardson's for 8 years. We have had a slip during that time and bought a boat from them as well. The boat sale was smooth and convenient as we were able to lake test etc. The service department is the real differentiator. They know what they are doing and keep my boat running so I can enjoy stress free. In addition to routine maintenance they installed a wakeboard tower for us which came out great. read more

Got an estimate of $300 to replace a part on our outboard. Work order said "will call you to discuss if estimate is different". Picked up the boat a few days later with a bill over $900, but never got a call! The boat is hardly worth that. The place looks competent and friendly, but I have dealt with better marine businesses. read more

If a "zero" star were a choice, that's what I would have rated them. My husband and I were looking to take our boat out of Russo Marine in Boston and put it in Sebago Lake for the summer as we have family on Frye Island. My husband drove up to the Standish location to inquire about docking, fees, winter storage, service department, etc. The man that met him in the boat yard was simply rude once he knew we were not there to purchase a boat. He curtly said that there is a waiting list and to call in January and walked away. Really Richardson's Marine? We are happily docked at Panther Run Marina!! read more

Exact same issue as the previous review I was quoted over the phone 446.00 for repairs. I called twice in the 2 weeks they had my boat and not once was anything said about the repairs being more expensive. When my boat was complete the bill was 930 and change. Avoid this place like the plague it's a shady business with an oh well attitude about over charging. read more

Most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. I communicated with a man named Mike for a few days about buying a used boat from him. All details were set. . All I had to do was pick it up and pay the "man." I traveled 1.45 hrs from my home with my wife and 3 young children to pick up our new "family boat." 20 mins before we arrive at his dealership he informs me that he has sold the boat. He then tries to sell me a different boat (at a higher price of course.) I have never dealt with someone like this man before and I hope you never have to deal with this man. read more

Factually you are so wrong. There was one other customer, not a line as you indicate and I even know that customer Roy ......... I have the exhaust baffles that would have been done at the slip and the parts for the tune up are easily obtainable at the local parts store. I can understand why the service area takes most of the knocks in this forum and the sales area most of the praise. I brought the boat in last fall indicating there was water going into the bilge. Service department got back to me with an estimate for $1400, bill comes and it is $2400+ and you tell me you saved me $500. Come on tell me how many customers you would upset without communicating that increase in charges. I know you will say you did but I can say with confidence that the service department did not. I think that the problem is you claim you got authorization for the additional work and I claim you did not. Believe that there is technology for you to send out a form with the details for the work and the customer to electronically sign, authorize and return electronically. Doing this you have something to verify the customer gave an ok. Something maybe to look into. read more

I am a local guy with a 2004 16' Lund Laker with just a 2004 30hp Suzuki 4 stroke on it. I needed some work done (engine tune-up, throttle work, small bilge pump installed). First, I tried to schedule it via their online scheduled system. No one ever got back to me so I called them. No answer so I left a message, just like the machine told me to. Two days I heard nothing. So, I called again and reached someone. They took down my info (I had actually been there before) and took down what was wrong with the boat. They told me to drop it off but could tell me when it would be done. No problem as i understood there was probably a line. I dropped it off and waited. A week and a half later I called them. No answer so I left a message. No call back for a day and a half so i called again. I got someone who asked my name then put me on hold. They came back and asked me what was wrong with the boat! I said "I am assuming the work has not been done yet." Nope. I was told that they didn't even have a work order for it. I told them to never mind, I would just come get the boat. They didn't even attempt to explain or try to make me happy as a customer. Mistakes happen but own up to them and make it right. Don't try to bluff your way through it and just let the customer leave. I am just a local guy with a small boat with minor problems but I am a customer. Not sure how they treat the people with $40K speedboats and a slip renter but they obviously dont care about the little people. Find someone smaller that will treat your boat like it matters. read more

So... Super thanks to Richardsons boat yard.... Oh wait, they had it for a month and didn't touch it... They told me when I dropped it off on the 18th... "Yup, you are ahead of the rush... We will get to it this week... If not this week next week, no problem...." Got tired of waiting and called them 3 times over the next 2 weeks... Left voice mails...No return calls... Stopped in twice... "Yup... Been assigned to a tech.... Won't be long now..." Finally we went there today... 5/16/15...And they still haven't even started it still... So... I said, bring it out front or point me to it, I'll jus go ahead and take it now, kid didn't know what to say, I said "well, what do you expect, you've had it a month" so, not only have they lost a service customer but they have lost a potential sales customer for a replacement boat.... read more

Bought a boat from them. The motor blew in 1/2 hour of use. The refused to help me at all. I wouldn't trust them.
