Quick Review - Auto body shop in downtown Mocksville…read more- Been around for years - They do very high quality work - Prices are fair - They are in high demand, which does impact your ability to get a hold of them - Sign on the door states "Open when I get here". Classic. - When they started the work, they got my truck out relatively fast - Very satisfied with my experience here Advanced Collision and Auto Repair has been around for a few years. I'm shocked this business was not already on Yelp. Oh well, I got them added now. So I am driving down a country road going about 45 miles per hour around dusk and a deer decided to cross the road right as I was coming through. This doe was hauling ass and never attempted to stop or slow down. It all happened so fast and there was not anytime to react. So the end results is Tim's F150 1, Doe 0. That deer bounced right off my truck hitting the front and driver's side. The damage was relatively minimal compared to hitting a deer with a car. I have had a car totaled once due to a deer collision. My F150 did have damage to the grill, left headlight assemble, front fender and small dent in the driver's side door. It didn't look that bad and the truck was still drivable. Built Ford tough baby! Still, anytime you get body work done, it costs a lot more than you would expect. Insurance claim required. Billy at Advanced Collision worked with my insurance company and the process was smooth. Quality of work was very high. Very satisfied and would highly recommend.

2020 Update: I am late posting an update, but life, loss, and multiple surgeries have truly gotten…read morein the way this year. Back in 2016 I found G & J Customs and raved about how JC helped me with my 2001 Toyota Solara when I visited here from Michigan. I gave them 5 stars because they were professional and ethical. They cleaned up issues that I had previously paid someone $500 to fix, and that particular mechanic took advantage of me, took my money, and left my car in worse shape. Because of JC being an honest business man and a man of God (I don't know his faith, I just feel this in my heart), the work he did on my car allowed me to safely drive across country to New Mexico, and then to Tucson, Arizona. I eventually sold my Toyota to someone in 2019, and still never had any other work done on it other than what JC had done in 2016! Fast forward to Fall 2019; I returned to Winston-Salem after being overseas and had purchased a used car from a small local dealership referred to me by someone. Unfortunately, the car I purchased started to give me trouble immediately and the dealership was unwilling to acknowledge or fix the issues. Of course I went to my Google reviews to find the mechanic that had previously assisted me with my last car. To my delight, G & J Customs was still in operation and JC was still there! JC made me an appointment immediately because he remembered me (Yay!). He took a good look at what was going on with the car, and once again, an unscrupulous person had taken advantage of my lack of knowledge of cars. JC initially did what he could to make the car drivable, but upon further inspection, he advised me that the car was not safe and that I was sold a heavily damaged salvage. Until that point, I had no idea the car was a salvage vehicle. I cannot express to you enough how valuable it is to have an honest and ethical mechanic who is concerned with your safety on your team. JC and team at G & J Customs has come through for me twice now. I can truly say that I fully respect and appreciate them for what they do. I highly recommend G & J Customs to anyone looking for a real mechanic with a professional and ethical standard worthy of applause. Spread the word if you know someone who needs a great car mechanic, and when you go by, tell them Kindra Speech sent ya!

Called around several auto repair shops in the area to get quotes on muffler replacement. G&J gave…read moreme the lowest quote and managed to get me in an hour after I made the call. The mechanic looked over the entire exhaust to ensure the muffler was the only bad part. After finding no other issues he proceeded to work quickly and efficiently to replace the muffler. For the lowest price in the area the work he preformed was high quality. He managed to get me out in 45 minutes with a 1 year warranty included. Thank you for such good service on such short notice!

In my case, they honored the requests I had to blend old tech and new together in an obscure not well supported (by the aftermarket) 70s car that I drive 10,000+ miles per year. The end result is a car that looks stock, has the power of a modern sports car, better fuel economy and emissions as well as better usability that still "feels" like the same great riding fun relaxed to drive classic car that it was when it came in. Technically speaking, I'm not sure of anyone else that has mated a 6L80E transmission to a beefed up 70s Buick 455, and made it all work like an OEM. These guys did. Their service is good and the owner is willing to engage in direct communication with customers, even providing feedback on weekends to support their work by text messaging and phone. They deliver projects in a timely fashion as well, extremely rare for their industry. Paying them is simple too, yes they accept credit cards even apple pay - no toting checks down to the shop to keep a project running. Don't expect economy pricing, I have spent a boatload of money here. However, if you're shopping professional restoration / customs shops for a job - you will find Midnite to be inline with expectations. I really like these guys and will be a continuous customer for them for years to come. They make things happen that others simply can not do and that means lots of my cars will be rolling over to them!
