Our puppy, who protects us from evil leaves.
Joy P.

Do not take ANY "aggressive" breed here. I have been taking my animals here since 2018 (cats and dogs), and have never had any problems until now. I have a pitbull Shepard mix puppy and she is the sweetest. We have only noticed food aggression which is a pretty common occurrence across many breeds and a young age. I brought this to their attention in hopes for pointer/tips on how to work with her for that behavior to stop. Instead I received comments on how she is going to bite us, bite others, and be aggressive no matter what. I was suggested to lock her in her crate and to teach her that we are superior to her. I could not believe that's what they told me straight to my face about my dog. She is constantly around others and my cats and shown no sign of even growling or whale eye. This appointment was this previous Monday, today is Wednesday and I have her and my three cats transferred to another vets care. I called Richfield Area Pet Clinic today to get the records transferred and they had hung up on me while I was getting the email pulled up. When I called back within the minute, I found that they blocked my number. I had to have my friend call to get the record transferred because of this. Absolute unprofessional and childish behavior. I would not recommend taking any animal here, let alone "aggressive breeds". Edit: they also told me during this visit that my dog is a mix of all "the worst ones"

Alley - 45lb American Pit Bull Terrier

Dr. Beachem & his staff are the best! We have been seeing them for 20 years now with all of our animals. Our Pups love them and I am so happy that I found a vet clinic that loves our American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier so much (even with his larger than life personality that many people would be put out by). If you are looking for a compassionate vet and people that care about your pets like family, this is a Vet Clinic to check out.

Dr. Alex is awesome! He connects well with the animals, is very knowledgeable, and is able to come…read moreup with solutions or answer any questions without trouble. If I arrive 10-15 minutes before my appointment I am often seen early. The vet techs and front staff are always very polite and professional. The only issue I have is the other veterinarians. The other two (I do not know their names as they are not the ones who usually see my pets) are unfriendly and don't connect well with the animals. The interactions they have with the animals seem awkward or nervous and it really changes the energy in the room. When I have asked questions they are short and do not give very helpful answers. I get it if you're not a people person, but I would appreciate if they took the time to make the animals more comfortable. Overall a great vet office! I would just recommend that people go to Dr. Alex rather than the others.

I've been taking my pets to GAH for a few years now and they never cease to disappoint. Becky at…read morethe front desk is the absolute worst...quadruple check your vets vaccine information, lab tests, or anything in general because they never give you the correct information the first or second time. I had rounded up 3 cats, just to drag them into the office so the tech could tell me, "they are up to date on vaccines" after Becky scheduled all three because they were "past due"- reality only 1 cat needed to be vaccinated, the other two were brought in to make money. Now I have to take them BACK, pay an additional office visit when they do need to be vaccinated. The latest time I had to bring my pet in, I called 3 times, got an estimate emailed to me, confirmed my appointment then the day of...Becky calls me to inform me the price will be different because it is in fact, "not the same test"....what is the point of going through all that to be given incorrect information. Becky could not "figure out why the test was ordered and if it was correct". Thankfully, Katie was competent and able to sort things out. Becky took this personally and left the front desk when I arrived It's really a shame how overpriced and under serviced our pets are. The doctors will quickly listen to lung/heart sounds, take a peak in their ears, look in their mouth and write it off. My cat had a broken tooth for the longest time and although he had been seen by Dr. Alex - he never says anything. I happen to do my own research and realized he needed to be treated or the tooth will start to decay/cause pain in the long run. When we took the cat to a vet dentist, he mentioned the cat might have a heart murmur and asked if our vet ever brought it up. yeah right, from reading other reviews on this establishment - the vet doesn't care unless you say something. Like I'm the one who went to school right and should diagnose my cat with a disease and then let the doc to know... Why do I bother bringing pets here if they aren't being treated properly. FYI, if you call to make an appointment about a concern and they say "we have an opening today, we can squeeze you in"...expect to be charged a "emergent vet visit fee"....even if it's not. They are the SLOWEST, approving chewy food, they will deny the food- call you to tell you they did and then tell you to put another order in because it was in fact okay...if you ask for a script for the food so you don't have to constantly get it approved, this is a huge burden to the Becky and Nan at the front desk. They also don't send over pet medical history or any documentation within a timely manner, you will have to call and call and call until you stay on the phone and ask them to do it. Lastly, there is no efficient record keeping system, they pull files....while other veterinary places are up to date with apps or electronic medical records for our pets. Safe to say I will never recommend or bring my pets back here again.
