The salon is very close to Emory, but it's a little off the main drag, so parking is a piece of cake. The salon itself is very eclectic-- lots of cool art, jewelry, and (of course) a wide array of hair products. There is also a comfy sitting area with magazines, a keurig, and sweet treats (Monica always finds delicious goodies) for anyone waiting. I have rarely had to wait more than 5 min though. The color table is in the middle of a room so you can chat with other clients and read magazines while you process. Pretty cool. The salon offers an array of services including cuts, styling, color, punky color, and keratin treatments. Now onto the hair: Raquel is an artist. She is amazing. Her color skills are second to none, and her cuts are fabulous. Whether you want a beautiful balayage, a foxy bob, cheerful highlights, or pastels and pinky colors, Raquel has you covered. She will listen to what you want and any concerns, and she will explain what she is planning to do so there isn't any confusion. The results, in my experience, have always exceeded my expectations. I am a natural brunette, and when I met her, my hair was blue black with bangs. We transitioned to a brunette bob with honey highlights, then a blonde lob, an auburn mid length cut, long mahogany waves, long red with rose gold highlights and side bangs and most recently, long red with rose gold, violet, and pink undertones. Every cut has grown out well and the colors have blended and looked gorgeous long after most would have faded. The product lines are really high quality and styling at the studio always makes me feel completely gorgeous before I walk out the door. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of cut, color, and experience. I have recommended this studio (and especially Raquel) to several friends and they have each been thrilled with their results. If you are looking for amazing hair, this is your place and Raquel is your girl.

I checked their website yesterday to see if any policies have changed and all I saw was to show up 10 minutes before my appointment. I got a confirmation text after I booked and a reminder text yesterday so of course I would think everything is ready to go. I've been to this salon a few times over the past several years and don't remember having these issues. No one is answering the number they provide and their voicemail box is full. I've checked my emails and any missed calls and there's nothing from them. I will not be returning and wanted to warn others. I'm extremely disappointed.

(If this duration is normal for highlights, then forgive my ignorance, and I'll add the star later.) Still, minus another star for incomplete highlights (see photo). I have gray hair on my front hairline. The stylist, Tiffany, highlighted my hair, and I noticed the grey hair after observing my hairstyle in the daylight. I called and asked if it's normal for a stylist to leave a grey patch when highlighting, and she said yes. She said that covering grey hair is another service. That seems odd to me because who gets highlights and lowlights and leaves a grey patch? Why wouldn't she have highlighted the grey patch? Why wouldn't a stylist ask the client if she wants the grey patch covered under the additional color service? A grey patch takes away from the color job, imo. Minus another star because this salon doesn't accept credit cards, and that is neither apparent on the website nor is it referenced via their appointment system, Fresa. I didn't appreciate not having a choice about how I paid for a 330 dollar incomplete highlights and flat twist hairstyle. Minus another star because I'm used to being served tea, coffee, or champagne at salons that have a high price point for hair services. I sat for almost 7 hours and didn't have much to drink. I am thankful that Tony provided me with Chai from a local tea shop (that is one reason behind the star for the overall quality of customer service). Minus half of a star for the inconsistencies in prices for services. The online menu contains different prices than the menu posted in the salon. For example, a cut on the salon menu is 40, but it's 50 online. Overall, I'm most disappointed by the highlight service. Unless the salon offered to fix the highlight and without an extra charge, I absolutely would not recommend anyone patron this business.

I refer her to everyone looking for professional, neat, long lasting knotless braids. Also her prices are competitive. I usually don't get my hair braided professionally unless I'm traveling (I don't like to do my hair abroad-lack of African hair supplies in European taught me a hard lesson), so I got a fresh set before I went to Egypt. They were easy to wash and maintain even after Atv riding in the desert. I usually get the smaller braids because I can style them definitely depending on my mood.
