Two Michelin stars. This place is worth the detour no mater how long. Stoping here for a treat is worth it no matter how much of a rush you are in

What an incredible surprise this spontaneous road stop was. When traveling on 460 I passed the signage for Richland's and made a u-turn and so happy I did. The dining room is closed for business and all orders are curbside. The long line of cars looped around a grassy area that's also used for outdoor dining with picnic tables. Several families were enjoying meals on a beautiful Fall day. The amount of staff was impressive on a Saturday visit. A large menu board provides the info on food and ice-cream. A nice young teen with mask took my order. I decided on an Expresso Oreo chunk milk shake. I paid by card. The price seems average. The line moved quickly and within around 10-15 minutes I had shake in hand that was delivered by another female teen. The entire operation was smooth. The taste was phenomenal and award winning. The Expresso flavors popped and the Oreos crunched enough to drink through a straw. If there is one small criticism it's that they only come in one size. One if not the best shake I've ever had in my life. I will never pass Richland's again. 4.5 with no dining room experience and rounding up.

Honest to Goodness Dairy Richlands prides themselves on keeping their animals happy and the land healthy. From their site: "At the Creamery, we continue a transparent look into milk by providing literal widows for you to look into the milk plant where we pasteurize and bottle milk and into the ice cream making room. We want you to see each step in the process from cow to cone and to feel confident in where your dairy comes from." Our family went by for ice cream on a Friday evening around 615. There are quite a few family style tables in the indoor seating area. Sample a few flavors or go straight for what you like. Waffle cone, waffle bowl or cup. (To-go ice cream can be purchased in 1/2 gallon containers). The ice cream is really great! Creamy! Yummy! Packed tightly so there's not a lot of drippage but definitely not "icy." You know it's REAL ice cream. There's an observation window so that you can watch the magic of ice cream being made. Grab your ice cream. And have a seat in the comfy rocking chair on the back patio. Play one of the outdoor games (Jenga, Checkers, corn hole) or let the kids play in the sandbox. Scream for ice cream!

We travel every year from beckley wv for this special treat.my daughter loves it. The staff are so friendly and we always feel so welcomed! Lots for little ones to do outside and a even Jameson the farm dog likes to come say hi! We love the hayrides and getting to see the cows!

This was a bit of a drive but it was a fun experience. There is a playground for kids outside and a small cafe inside. The Lavander ice cream was worth the drive!!

It's hard to beat a 6 dollar 16oz milkshake when they cost 9-10 bucks in Richmond... I stop by every time I show homes down in Blackstone

The staff knows me know and the girls working the bar are kind, friendly and efficient. Its become a "haven" for me during the day. The regulars are an interesting group some quite notable. You have a pilot for Philip Morris who may pop in on occasion , two well known "movers and shakers" who will remain nameless, sailors and pilots who travel far and wide seeing and living part time in places most people can only dream of. Also as Rugby season begins you have a large contingent of Rugby fans and players who hail from South Africa, big and brawney, good looking well mannered wuth a happy and boisterous attitude that livens the room and makes one smile. You can find these " young bucks" in GAR most Saturday mornings watching their game. You want good food with healthy options? Go to The Great American Ranch. It won't disappoint!

We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very friendly and attentive even though the bar was full. I didn't go back into the back room but was told there is corn hole and line dancing. There is also an outside bar and patio that quite a few were enjoying despite the awful humidity from the rain that day. The bathrooms were fairly clean. Not the best but useable and well stocked.

My server was really patient with me, letting me take my time with the menu and figure out what I was craving. I ordered calamari for a starter and for the main, I had spaghetti with mushroom sauce and eggplant. I went with the side of soup option instead of salad. It was all quite delicious and actually satiated my cravings for pasta, except the soup was a tad bit too salty for my taste. I did take it home and revamped it as a leftover (we don't waste any food here lol!). Overall, I had a good dining experience and will come back again when I'm in the area!

We only wanted something light because our family is having a BBQ in a little bit but we couldn't wait for the food to be ready. The atmosphere was rather nice and calming, jazz music, not over crowded for a Sunday at 12:30pm. Ruben was on point with the warm complimentary bread + pesto! The mozzarella sticks, he described as rather big but yummy. He was accurate. We also split a chicken Philly sub that was good, the potato chips on the side were a home-made different touch, I appreciated but my little sister wasn't a huge fan. Overall, we will be back! Thanks for having us.
