It was ok. Bathroom was clean but good lord squeeze in and take your own toilet paper. What they use barely qualifies as to. I must have used a hundred yards just to pee. The staff was unenthusiastic. I waited for ages for someone to show up at the grill , they were cooking in the back, the food smelled great, I was starving, the teenage boy was starving, the man with me was willing to eat, but we never saw anyone. I did hear someone address another customer, while I shopping chotskies that they would be right back but they never came back. I waited and meandered. In the end we bought less than we would have because of the sour looks and no service. The place was clean. Stuff was interesting. Bee items were inexpensive - lotion, lip balm, etc. There was some alpaca wool and wool items being sold there. Typical pricing. Out of sight. A small amount of lavender stuff... heavenly!! What an incredible surprise this spontaneous road stop was. When traveling on 460 I passed the signage for Richland's and made a u-turn and so happy I did. The dining room is closed for business and all orders are curbside. The long line of cars looped around a grassy area that's also used for outdoor dining with picnic tables. Several families were enjoying meals on a beautiful Fall day. The amount of staff was impressive on a Saturday visit. A large menu board provides the info on food and ice-cream. A nice young teen with mask took my order. I decided on an Expresso Oreo chunk milk shake. I paid by card. The price seems average. The line moved quickly and within around 10-15 minutes I had shake in hand that was delivered by another female teen. The entire operation was smooth. The taste was phenomenal and award winning. The Expresso flavors popped and the Oreos crunched enough to drink through a straw. If there is one small criticism it's that they only come in one size. One if not the best shake I've ever had in my life. I will never pass Richland's again. 4.5 with no dining room experience and rounding up. read more

LOVE this place. When you walk in there is an area where you can order food and dairy products and they have a little store with other items you can purchase too. There is a pretty big seating area inside near the order area. There is a viewing window across from the bathrooms, where you can see some of the machines they use for the milk and dairy products they have. They also have a room you can rent for birthday parties or private events which is what we were there for this time, the room was very nice and easy to add decorations for a child's birthday party. You can see the playground from the window in the private room so you can set up and watch the kids go play while things are getting ready. The bathrooms were very clean and they have a sink with a sign they use for their milk stuff so make sure you pay attention to the sign. The outside area is very nice, there is a huge playground with alot of different things for kids to do and some things like horseshoe, checkers, and such for adults too. You can sit in a rocking chair on the porch area while your kids play. The ice cream and milk are absolutely delicious weither you get it from a grocery store or directly from this location. read more

It is worth the drive! There is not much on the drive to Richland's but once you get there they have everything you need. We arrived and ate lunch. I had the club and it was a good portion and the rest of the party had the barbecue chicken and the chicken salad. After our meals we got two ice cream samplers. All of the flavors were delicious and they have a large variety of flavors. There is a small playground for the kids to play on and everyone was extremely friendly. We will be back! read more

There are quite a few family style tables in the indoor seating area. Sample a few flavors or go straight for what you like. Waffle cone, waffle bowl or cup. (To-go ice cream can be purchased in 1/2 gallon containers). The ice cream is really great! Creamy! Yummy! Packed tightly so there's not a lot of drippage but definitely not "icy." What a wonderful way to support our farmers by buying local! This farm has it all! Ice cream, food, milk, soaps and the best thing it's all local! They have two drive through lanes one where you can order when you get there and one for those that call ahead. I highly recommend getting the strawberry ice cream. Going during the week days are definitely a better idea if you have little ones. Be patient with them as they learn to handle the increased business. Sometimes when you call ahead the phone will continue to ring. If it's during the hours they are open, they are there, just taking other orders. Definitely check them out! My wife and neighbor drove down to Richlands on Saturday - picking up ice cream by the cup and quart. They really enjoyed the experience and stated we needed to go back on Sunday as I was working. Sunday came and we were back down at Richlands Creamery. The line as it is now setup as a drive through was pleasant experience as they had a musician playing the guitar, piano and singing as we waited in line. We picked up 2 quarts of ice cream (H.U.B.S and Apple Streusel) and a couple of scopes of butter pecan and vanilla crunch and both had a very good taste and we finished them off quickly. We also picked up an order of hamburger casserole and chicken alfredo - both were eaten by our kids when we got home with nothing left for me. They also had a special on the milk and picked up a half gallon of chocolate milk - which my son states is the best he has drank. We'll be back in the very near future to enjoy another visit. You can call ahead and pick it up or go through the drive thru line - which at times can get rather long. I have heard a lot about this place but never went. I was driving past and though I would stop by to check this place out. They are offering drive thru service due to COVID. You can call ahead for your order. I was just passing by. There are ample signs on where to go for service. They offer a huge array of dairy products to include fresh milk eggs and or course Ice cream and milkshakes. We ordered a half gallon of vanilla and a half gallon of the vanilla crunch. My son wanted a milkshake so he ordered a cake batter milkshake. The milkshake was very creamy and really good. After getting home, I was able to try the vanilla crunch and oh my!!! This was amazing very rich and creamy. I will definitely return to try other items from the menu because they offer food as well. I was excited to learn that The Creamery started serving lunch so I was happy to find myself driving down 460 near Blackstone at lunchtime today. While I have had their ice cream and it is delicious (Salted Monkey is my go to) I needed sustenance and ordered the egg salad sandwich on wheat and a side of broccoli. It was delicious. It had really good sweet pickle in it and was rich and creamy on toasted bread. The broccoli was the star of the plate though. It was local, fresh, and lightly cooked so it had great flavor and crunch; with the perfect amount of good quality cheddar cheese and a sprinkle of parm. I washed it down with a bottle of their chocolate milk. I would have gotten ice cream if I had room in my belly but it filled me up and was a healthy meal. I plan on trying the tuna melt next. read more

Some of The best Ice cream we have ever had. It's in a league of its own and well worth the drive. They also had really good bbq sandwiches that were huge and affordable, the chicken salad wrap was also good. Tip for those that have not gone before. All the in house ordering (food or ice cream) is done at the counter to your far right. The Icecream area does not take the orders they just make it there. This was my second trip to the Creamery. It is 45 minutes from my home, but worth the trip. My wife and I ordered the egg salad sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich. They came with a drink and a bag of chips. Those sandwiches were delicious. For desert we had a Banana Split. We can blearily finish it. On the side of the creamery there are some country rocking chairs and a playground for the Kiddo's. We were lucky enough to be there when they were offering Hay rides around the huge dairy farm. All I can say is this is a gem in the middle of nowhere. If you are driving 460 near Blackstone, you got to check this place out. read more

Poorly run, long wait, had to wait in line on the food section to order ice cream but couldn't see the menu so you had to look at a menu at the register before ordering then wait for the your ice cream one by one, halfway melted before we all got ours and got sat down. Then the sign said farm tour/hay ride and the times but sign failed to mention that it was weekends only!! The staff didn't even know when they were doing it the farm tours. I don't believe the people working the counter understand the meaning of customer service or what it takes to provide it. There were FOUR people standing at the register and not ONE said "hello" "hi" "hey" "welcome" "how are you?" "have you ever been here?" or even ANYTHING! when I entered your establishment. they all stood there, with annoyed looks, as I walked up to the ice cream counter. the young man working the counter approached, after he donned gloves, and said, again, nothing. Just stared. Stared!!! So.. I proceeded to ask for a sample, because it seems that no one was going to offer. meanwhile, the three others were just watching this entire interaction like it was TV. still not offering any good flavors when it's obvious I'm trying to navigate through the many options you have. I don't know what they think they're supposed to be doing there, but I shouldn't have to remind you that it's to SELL. I read an article that made me feel extremely bad for this place because of how hard times have gotten and how you might have to close. I would think they would be grateful for ANYONE that walks into their establishment willing to pay money and that they would at least GREET them. I can't believe I almost forgot to rate this place! I drove by it every single day on my work trip. The place itself is absolutely picturesque. I walked inside briefly and I was hit with a wall of incredible smells--mostly ice cream, to be honest. The employees are very nice and they have a solid drive-thru system set up for COVID precautions. They have a ton of picnic tables and umbrellas outside. It's just a great place to enjoy your ice cream. I got the salty caramel & vanilla crunch ice cream with a side of a bbq sandwich! Both were delicious. The bbq sandwich was HUGE! As much as I really wanted to try the sides, I couldn't fit any more food in my belly! And the salty caramel was so good that I went back the next day for another cup! read more
