Came by on a Sunday in a group of 4. This was a first time experience for 3 in the group. One is provided the paintball gun, paint balls, coveralls and full mask. The coveralls do a pretty good job of offering protection with the full neck coverage. We had a quick safety lesson then set off in the arena in timed games. I liked the variety of building and obstacles. After a few games, we took a quick brake to top off the air canisters and back in. We had the arena to ourselves for 2 hours till another group came in. And 2 hours was enough. It was a great adventure experience and all in our group enjoyed themselves. My only negative comment is that there is so much remains from the paint balls that you sometimes feel the paint remains when you are leaning on a wall or holding it for balance. We only gave one star cause we had to, to leave the review. This place deserves a big fat ZERO Stars. We were looking forward to a fun evening of paintball....sadly that didn't happen. The arena you play in - it's pretty great. But the rest of the place is a total disappointment. Staff was obnoxious and rude. Yelling and screaming and threatening everyone. Could tell all they wanted was to leave. Extremely unprofessional. ( mainly the kid with the bandana tied around his head and the girl passing out gear and reffing the game..... so rude. so obnoxious) Trash Talking all the players who paid to be there " this group is shit " " these fuckers suck " " what a bunch of losers" We paid good money to be there and we're treated like absolute crap. The gear was filthy and disgusting. Everything is totally tattered and broken. Can barely seee out of the masks they are so scratched and filthy. The establishment itself was disgustingly filthy. Like it had never ever been swept or mopped - dusted or any type of cleaning. If you want to be sure to be immune to almost anything - use the bathroom. In our opinion , paintball was a blast but do not waste your time or money at this place unless you enjoy being treated like shit while throwing your hard earned money away. We would have left instantly but had kids with us that had their hearts set on playing. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. read more

Indoor is awesome, but when you have a forest in the back yard there is no point in going here in my opinion, but I do enjoy the cars and the amazing atmosphere they created in the place. I do realize their paintball are a bit expensive especially when you bring your own gear + gun, but it is how they make business. I haven't met the community here yet, but I hope they are as friendly as most communities I go to. I will go back again to visit soon. I do wish they wouldn't have spammed Yelp for attention. I came here with a group and the staff and owner are super friendly, talkative and helpful. The equipment, coveralls and vests seem to be in good condition. The optional clothing pieces were a fun idea, but they seemed like a sad lost and found bin of ripped and dirty items. It would've been nicer if they only kept the interesting/colorful clothing items and took better care of them and removing them if damaged. I love that they blast music while the game's playing and have the option to use smaller (less painful) paintballs. There were some hardcore paintballers there, but the staff did a good job of teaming us up with other newbies. Our group spent a long time waiting while getting set up and only got to play about 3-4 games before they closed. I wish they advised us of this before we spent money on 1,000 paintballs that our group ended up shooting wildly to make use of them. Good guns, good refs, great indoor facility. The facility isn't that large, but it's big enough for around 15-20 people comfortably. There are also second stories for some buildings, and veterans will likely have a large home-court advantage. The floor is a little slippery with the paint, as it's mostly covered in concrete. However, it is much better and less gross than the rubber chips in most indoor paintball arenas. The only complaints I have are with the match-ups. Previous areas in which I've played separate those with rental guns from those with their own weapons, thus making any group of players all have the same level of guns. It's slightly unfair to be pelted with automatic fire or extremely accurate rifles. This facility doesn't do that, mixing higher quality weapons with pretty good rental weapons. Also, the team matching is usually unequal. This didn't have too much of an impact, as it was still really fun. But some of the group found it very discouraging, as some hadn't paintballed before. I do prefer outdoor paintball places, but this is one of the best indoor facilities for paintball. read more

If you are looking for a great Birthday experience, call Richmond indoor paintball. Shnane put my entire party together with me over the phone with perfection. She had a answer for all my questions and put together the best package. Once there it was clear that safety came first. Once the kids put on their gloves and coveralls they headed in to the briefing room. The staff went over everything and fielded all the 12 year olds questions (no matter how absurd). During play the "refs" kept the kids safe and entertained. I fully recommend it's for ages 10+. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Great place for first timers! With the new low impact paintballs for kids 8+ it allows players of all agreed to get in the game!

Not for everyone, but this place is just pure fun. We just loved it. The suits and the kevlar vest might not be the perfect but when it comes down to the guns, they are amazingly accurate. The staff here is really friendly and did everything to accommodate us. Most of us were new to paintball, but even on a busy Friday night, they managed to give us sometime in the arena all to ourselves. read more

Fantastic! We used a Groupon which made the rate very reasonable. We took a group of 13 year old boys & they had a blast!! The people working there were great! Explained the rules very clearly & created teams evenly by skill level and age after each 5-7 minute game. Safety is #1 and the staff was hands on and involved to ensure everyone was following the rules & having fun! Well worth the trip to Richmond! read more

Definitely not for everyone. I can see how if you were really into paintball and had your own gear this place could be really fun, but for a newbie relying on rentals there was a lot to be desired. Their rental masks get incredibly foggy, which means it can be really difficult to see more than a foot in front of you in their indoor course. The gloves that they had available to borrow were all falling apart (pretty sure they came from a lost and found) - why not invest in some decent ones for rental? Seems like there are a lot of "regulars" here, so when explaining the rules of the games some of the details tend to be taken for granted, which can be frustrating for a newbie. On a hot day this place can also be unbearably warm. I won't be back. read more

Definitely a fun place to play. The field is fantastic and the construction of the buildings is the best I've seen in the area. They always seem to have fun games and I've enjoyed myself. I'd love for the prices to be a little lower so I could go more often, but you do seem to get what you pay for. read more

The first time I went to Richmond indoor was almost 5 years ago. I had gone for a birthday party and I never played before. As with everyone else who go there for the first time, there was a safety speech with rules and tips. That's great because then anyone can get into the sport. Ever since, I come a few times a year and the staff actually remembers me. They try to accommodate our wants for what game to play if we have suggestions which is great because playing the same games over and over isn't fun. Their variety of games is awesome because you really can't get bored! If you own your own gear, it would be that much more of a great experience but rentals are fine too. The rentals work great for something that have been used for so long. The new field with all the tires and sand are nice. The sand is a bit on the slippery side but it IS an improvement to their old floors. There is clothing provided included in the rental so the clothes you wear don't get dirty (which is a plus compared to some places which don't provide that). The only thing is that their goggles can fog up really easily if your the type to talk a lot on the field. The layout is indoors so there is only so much they can do. They did use the space wisely as 9 buildings with 3 upstairs floors are spread out. Cars, tires and bunkers fill up the spaces so as to have some coverage available. If you follow the rules and tips from regulars, you can definitely have fun without any problems. Music is always playing so the echoes of the shots don't sound as loud as they could. That's fine with me because you can sneak up on people really easily. Another thing I hope they will one day do is to improve the team markers. The yellow velcro-like things are hard to see and friendly fire can happen often. Other than that. the prices are reasonable since it is how they make money after all. If my kid wrote this it would be 5 stars, because he says it was the best birthday party ever. For Parents I just wanted to pass on that for birthday parties be prepared to spend a lot. Extra paint balls, extra charges, and the overalls appear dusty. I recommend you pay extra for the neck guards and thermal masks that do not fog up, but just be prepared that everything appears to have a small film. But I do know they wash all this stuff after each use, but the paint leaves a film of dust, but I am not sure. Also, asthma sufferers should be for-warned, you may need your puffers. read more

Rental masks fog up quite a bit so if you have your own, bring it! Other than that, this place is amazing and lot's of fun!
