    Ready to play!

Fantastic! We used a Groupon which made the rate very reasonable. We took a group of 13 year old boys & they had a blast!! The people working there were great! Explained the rules very clearly & created teams evenly by skill level and age after each 5-7 minute game. Safety is #1 and the staff was hands on and involved to ensure everyone was following the rules & having fun! Well worth the trip to Richmond!

    awesome time!

Rental masks fog up quite a bit so if you have your own, bring it! Other than that, this place is amazing and lot's of fun!

Probably those who have to care for tanks and army antique vehicule collection too. This place apparently raised their price but i can understand why when i first arrived on location. My two good friends, my girlfriend and i experienced Panther field last saturday for my good friend's birthday (5th of october 2019). My girlfriend had her own gear so it was free for her (good looking rule). Since i'm a CAF Veteran it was supposed to be free as well but i paid the 30$ because i wanted to, the parking lot impressed me enough so far to be paying the 30$. You pay around something like this for a Museum to see some stuff not moving. I had more fun than what you can get out of 30 bucks even in 2012 (we all should know that real good is free). I felt like 6yo when i saw the FIRST tank ride by. They have a couple of working T-LAV (Canadian version of M113 tracked light armoured vehicule, same thing i served with in my Afghanistan mission 1-09). We all agreed that it was a wonderfull day, the kind of place where weather doesn't do much on your definition of a ''wonderfull day''. I'll go back again, and again !

Overall a good experience, but i do have two pieces of constructive criticism…read more 1. Break up into multiple groups and have multiple games running at the same time! --- There were roughly 70 people on the day I went. Meaning we played 35 v 35 (respawn) for the bulk of the matches. Id suggest talking a chunk of those players to a different field to play a different game type (perhaps 6v6 no respawn, ect ect). All it costs the company is paying 1 extra ref, and then players could get more variation. 35 v 35 got old very quick... its tough to make any meaningful plays when the field is that congested. 2. Come up with a better way to identify teams. The skinny red ribbon isn't very good. Perhaps invest in a bunch of thick red velcro arm bands to use instead. This would make it MUCH easier to identify teammates from enemies.

Since we had a large group, we split the cost of an additional 2000 paintballs (which runs $160). For the main area, there are 4 different maps: Mounds (which is actually 2 maps side by side), Forest, and City. Our group tried all of them: Mounds- 2 RVs mark the home-bases. There are literally mounds of dirt and places for cover, with some sparse vegetation as well acting as cover. When playing both maps side by side, the coverage area was about the size of 2-3 soccer fields. City- A more "urban" version of Mounds. Walls, cars, boats act as cover. Forest- Literally what the name implies. Of the maps played, Mounds was the group favorite. By far, Forest was the WORST map. Goggles fogged, and most of the area's paths were covered with thorny bushes. That made this map almost unbearable. The staff is very helpful. They cite 3 rules that everyone must abide by. Break one of them, and you get your gun taken away/asked to leave. Pretty reasonable terms as paintballs can hurt when tagged in the wrong spot. Overall it was a lot of fun. A lot more than I anticipated, even when taking into account getting shot three times in the head. My only complaints are: - the cost of paintballs (I guess they need to make money somehow) - the bathrooms (or lack thereof). It's basically 1 port-o-potty for each gender (yay gender equality!), and a very scary looking outhouse thingy. There were at least 100 people on site when I was there, and 2 portable toilets is hardly sufficient for that amount - the road leading to the premises is horrible - they really need to trim the thorns in Forest Lastly- don't camp. More often than not, you'll be one of the first people to get tagged :)

Do NOT use Call of Paintball…read more They sell their paintball vouchers at various events. The vouchers have a face value but hardly mean anything. When they sell these vouchers, they don't tell you that you need to pay additional fees to actually complete the booking for a paintball event. When I booked my event for 20 people, they sold me on "cancellation insurance". It meant that if I had people that weren't going to make it, I could get some money back. When it came time for me to put the cancellation insurance in effect, they suggested that I would only get a portion of what I was entitled to refunded to me. Afterwards, I was contacted by one of the owners of Call of Paintball and he was insistent on resolving the issue. In the end, he was just full of empty promises. Various members of this organization have proven to be chronic liars. So I repeat again, avoid Call of Paintball.

"Call of Paintball"is the only way to go if your looking to play at multiple fields across Vancouver. Their sales staff are at different malls around the city, from time to time so you get to actually speak to someone that can run you through the entire day and how it works. The fields themselves are a little worn and could use some work but they seem to be safe and the staff know what they are doing. Defiantly be playing with these guys soon.

How to begin the new year ... you might be thinking?…read more By being a survivalist of course ... without the paranoia! Look all around you as you go about your day - zombies aka Karens are everywhere! I lived in Scandinavia back in the day & I had an obsession with knifes & owned a tiny collection. There's lots of trees over there & I liked to carve up wood. I was excited & a big kid all over again (come to think of it I don't think I stopped being a kid ... some might say ... LOL) walking into Gorilla Surplus! It's located on Broadway right in-between Clark & Commercial Drive. It's situated in an old dilapidated shop that looks an old house that's on its last legs! You are not coming here for fine decor or an aesthetic pleasure experience! Why'd I pop in here you ask? Well of course because of the upcoming zombie invasion ... duh!!! Are we not entering into wave #5 & variant #23 or something like that!? Karens are losing their friggin minds & this prolonged pandemic doesn't seem to want to go away! Folks it's getting scary out there ... arm yourselves! Yikes! Many will remember the popular 3 Vets store that closed down in 2017. They used to sell quite the collection of knives & other sporting goods. GS has kinda stepped in as their replacement. GS also has a massive offering of Airsoft guns for all you BB gun enthusiasts, camo & regular survival gear, bags, hats, bear spray & batons - to ward off the zombies ... you know them as Karens! The sales dude with tatts all over him was very helpful & informative. In fact he lead me into buying an item I never in a million years would have thought to buy! I can't wait to use it! I picked up 2 items but I will never tell because Karens/Zombies could be reading this & I don't want to give them a heads-up! Hee! The crazies are here amongst us - people wake up!!! Brace yourselves ... winter is here! Happy new year - 2022 here we go!
