There is a great pond to walk around that offers catch-and-release fishing, great playgrounds, a nice swimming pool, and lots of room for the kids to play. The bathroom and shower are nice and clean! When I made my reservations, I had to do some revising and they were so accommodating. While I asked for a pull-thru, I did take a back-in spot and they had someone spot for me. I would have liked a 50amp and sewer hookup, but again, I needed to make changes. They offer both RV and tent sites. The tent sites are in their own section, a nice green grassy area! If you decide to stay here, I found that a 30amp will run one of my A/Cs just fine and because of all the shady, I really only needed the one A/C. I did need to have my tanks dumped while I was there. They offer a dump service so I didn't need to move my RV nor even be there. It was a nominal fee compared to the savings from a full hook-up site!

Hannon's Camp America has become a favorite for our local music, hippy and burner community for…read morefestivals and gatherings. I've spend many weekends there tending giant bonfires with our local fire tenders unions, blown giant fire balls in the conclaves, captured flags from a band of banditos, watched the heat from a slat wood fire make green leaves rain down on a bunch of Grateful Dead fans and spent evenings with friends and beverages. This is the closest festival spot I know of in the area that is open to most of the gatherings I attend. There are cabins available for those who prefer to sleep in a more controlled environment during music festivals. For the rest of us there is plenty of space available in the two main fields and some camp spots under tree cover. Bathrooms with showers are available but can become unusable if the crowd is too large or doesn't respect the facilities. port-o-potties are also on site. Hannon's offers many child-friendly events and has plenty of creek space to explore as well as a decent swing set with a slide. (Hint: don't use the slide at 5am after a heavy rain). Some of the Hannon family live on site and often join in the revelry. Queen Elizabeth and Jean are two of my favorite ladies of the camp. There is also a camp dog, Domino the dominatrix, owned by Queen Elizabeth. I've been able to bring my own pup to most events. He gets along pretty well with the other dogs and despite some scares with the proximity of a country road with a blind curve he has had as good of a time as I have. The red barn usually houses musical acts. Local bands like Noctaluca, Hogscraper and the Rusty Van Band have performed. Favorite festivals are Scorched Nuts, OctOHBurn and the Wang Dang Doodle.

The last time I went to Perfect North it was $20 for one hour. We went right at 11am when they opened. There was a 20 minute delay from the groups that got ahead of us signing the waivers. The waivers are on iPads and there are only two. This would have maybe been better if we had not got there right at opening. They have a nice area to sit inside and get warm and have snacks. The snack bar has warm drinks and the normal snacks you would find at a concession stand like nachos with liquid cheese. The slopes are all the same and just a straight down tube run. At Perfect North the have designed some of the runs to be different slopes, humps etc. I love the have some fun, they let me wear my T-Rex suit and tube down the hill. We had a great time in the snow and so close to Richmond Indiana.

We have never taken advantage of the snack bar so I cannot say anything about it. It's a fun time whether you are a kid or an adult!

The term refers to US-40 that parallels I-70 in some parts, as it does here. Inside, lots of brochures and information about tourist attractions and things to do and see in the Hoosier State. A friendly attendant helped answer some questions and pointed me to some of the displays. The restroom is clean, the information is free and the stop is great. The AC was not cool enough, the bed was reasonably comfortable, the bedding was clean. The breakfast area was also under renovation. They did provide a free meal, but I bypassed it. Frankly it looked awful. The coffee was poor. I would not return renovation or not.

The negatives: Construction - this isn't anything the hotel can help but it was a mess trying to get in there and find it because of construction. Bed quality - this was the biggest drawback for my wife and I. The bed was FIRM... like sleeping on a rock firm. We like a softer bed and this one caused some problems sleeping. If you like a firm mattress this may be perfect for you. The neutral items: Breakfast - we left too early to get breakfast so we didn't have a chance to try it. Overall, I would give them another try to see if all the beds were as firm and since there were so many positives.
