In 2026, the time of this review, we had hail and wind during a storm last week and I get a random text from them (see picture) stating that I signed up for messages from them, which I did not, and noted the storm. UPDATE January 2021: Somehow, Barnes Roofing managed to pull off a second miracle for me. I recently had a high-efficiency furnace installed, and the exhaust pipe from the old furnace needed removed. The HVAC team doesn't do that, as it involves roofing repairs. (I probably should have thought of this, but didn't. Lessons learned.) Anyhow - one call to Barnes Roofing, and my situation was resolved just over a week later. I can hardly believe they got this done in flipping January. Very grateful for companies like this!! Would give more than 5 stars if possible. December 2020: A friend recommended Barnes Roofing, and I am so glad I called them. I needed several gutter repairs done, along with a siding fix on a home I recently purchase. They came out to estimate the job immediately, and then an early winter set in shortly thereafter. I figured it would be spring/summer until Barnes could get to this work. To their credit, they managed to find an "open window" between snowstorms, windstorms, rain & ice, and managed to get my repairs done before winter! They did a terrific job, and I am very pleased. Literally scheduled time to be away from work to be home and NO ONE called to communicate about anything. I called to see what happened, and it went to voicemail. Good customer service is definitely shot down and those vax shots must be chipping away at people's brains. This nonchalant non-communicative behavior deserves no second chances. You've all been getting way too comfortable being unprofessional and at the end giving a petty "I'm sorry." Off to the next company, that's more professional and might respect people's time.

Horrible company. Would give negative stars if possible…read more Due to space limitations we can't give full details or list all the problems, lies, or unprofessional business practices encountered but we'll give the highlights. Contracted with Hinckley Roofing to do tear off and roof replacement on small house. Subcontracted crew only tarped front of house and left other sides exposed. Majority of shingles and debris were thrown off sides and back, not front. Left excessive black marks on vinyl siding and large scratches/gouges on aluminum window trim where shingles hit. Only the front looked mostly okay because of tarp. Siding in very good condition prior to damage they caused. Showed us picture of front with tarp and lied about the rest being tarped until we shared video from security cameras showing shingles raining down against the siding. Their solution was to scrub each streak and power wash the siding, destroying the surface so there were glaring shiny and dull patches alternating across sides and back of house. This was unacceptable to us. Met with them again and were told if we gave it 6 months we wouldn't be able to tell; it would even out. Gave it 6 months and it looks worse. Roof cost just over $9,200. Bids from siding companies were all higher than that amount but Hinckley would only offer half the cost in credit for damages. Said anything more would be unfair to them. When we didn't accept their offer, we were told they'd put lien on house and we could work it out with their insurance company then. Deadline for filing valid lien had passed after so much time but they would file anyway. The only way we could get lien removed then would be to hire attorney and file a lawsuit to have lien invalidated. We opted to take their low offer and be done with them.

The new roof looks beautiful and is performing well. We had 3-contractors estimate the roofing project. To ensure fair bidding, we had the contractors bid using the same material and scope of work. Parkhill's cost was right in the middle. We are extremely pleased with our entire experience with the company from start to finish. The owner and salesman were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The office staff was very pleasant when they called to update me on the roof work schedule. The roofing crew worked well with each other, and their workmanship quality was excellent. The crew took extra precautions to protect my house and landscaping by covering them with tarps.
