This room is likely suited for a honeymooning couple, but the 5 of us enjoyed the space and privacy from the rest of the Inn. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and their breakfast was really great! Plus, they were alums of Miami University, just like 4 of the 5 of us. We enjoyed chatting with the owners and sitting out on the porch during a rain storm. We did have trouble figuring out the lock system, but the owners promptly helped us out with that. The Inn is within short walking distance of Lawrence, a beautiful little liberal arts college, and the downtown Appleton area with shops and restaurants. If I ever find myself in Appleton again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Franklin Street!

Units are dated but clean and functional. Unit 38 does not have full kitchen only microwave coffee pot and toaster, no kitchen sink or dining table but it is lower cost than full kitchen unit. Owner Doug is good at adressing issues if you contact him. Property has a launch and covered slips that will fit a bass boat with outlets for a charger, but a 8' wide pontoon or deck boat will not fit into slips. Resort boats with motor available to rent. Fish cleaning house also on property. The only downside i found here is that property is not secure (no fences or "private property" signs, so some locals may think its a public park area) and boats have been tampered with, so secure your gas cans and rods and tackle and disable your ignition when docking overnight.

There was nobody out watching for the new $10 per person wristbands so we basically paid for nothing (aside from Mondays apparently) Aside from hearing about my diabetic issues, they did not allow me to bring any small snacks EVEN THOUGH they allowed me to bring in a backpack that they said we couldn't even have? It was nice to relax in and they have improved on adding a better playground for older kids, but I am not impressed with the raise in prices for everything. If you want a seasonal pass for your family, get ready to pay $150 In the bathrooms, there's black mold, hair everywhere, and white stuff on the curtains. The stalls have the BIGGEST gap I have ever seen, and I've rewatched titanic 500 times. It's almost to your knees and the curtains are transparent. Everyone was so friendly (staff and campers). My children instantly made friends with the other kids and were inseparable all weekend. There were so many activities for adults and children. My sister and I participated in their poker run, which was a bunch of fun. They did their first annual huckleberry Olympics, and our family had so much fun cheering everyone on, laughing and making memories! They also had fireworks (rescheduled from July 4th), and they did not disappoint. My children are begging me to go back next year, so we will definitely be returning.

The beds were comfortable with more than enough blankets, sheets and pillows for our use. The owners, Kelly and Gerard were very personable and accommodating. Upon our arrival, Kelly greeted us and gave us the rundown on everything that we needed to know about the cabin and the area. Gerard was fantastic by showing us rest of the property including the barn and pond. They even allowed us access to a couple of boats for us to row around or motor in. Gerard allowed us to operate his tractor and mini bike - both of which were a real highlight to us city folks. The whole experience of staying at Cabin on the Creek was very memorable and our family would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a getaway to this area in Wisconsin.

To say we…read morewere pleased is an understatement--this was by far the best stay I've ever had in any hotel/inn, anywhere. We stayed in the Hunt Suite, which was beautifully appointed. We had all of the comforts of home: a fireplace, a fridge, a gigantic bed, a large en-suite bathroom, and a huge jacuzzi bathtub (big enough for the two of us to enjoy together!). Breakfast was served at our requested time and we enjoyed it both in our room an in the dining room with other guests, depending on the day. De Ann is an absolutely fantastic cook; her breakfasts aren't to be missed. While we didn't spend much time in it, there is a lovely back garden with a screened in gazebo, a bubbling fountain, and yard games for your enjoyment. The Roost is conveniently located close to Neenah, downtown Appleton, and about 30 minutes south of Green Bay. There's even a lovely house dog, Zada, who was very excited to greet us and give us all the kisses we could ask for. We will most certainly be back and are recommending Roost Bed & Breakfast to every single person we've met, both in Wisconsin and elsewhere. It is within walking distance of restaurants and the PAC. Carol and Gordie were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the blue room and found the bed very comfortable. Carol's cinnamon, pecan french toast was a delicious way to end our weekend.
