No beating around the bush, at this point he's almost like family... but not in an icky way... lol. The office staff is courteous and the check in/ check out process is streamlined. They have those newfangled patient tablets that are easy to use. Gone are the clipboard days with pages and pages of info to fill out! My appointments run on time with no waiting. We have several members of our family with very specific health needs and Dr. Carl and his staff keep us up to date so we don't have to remember all of the details! They take care of it for you. Making appointments is as easy as can be. Prescription refills are always checked and evaluated and dispensed appropriately. Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor. But with Dr. Carl, he brings it back to normal and puts me at ease. Obviously, my entire family and I are fans of WellcomeMD. I recommend Dr. Carl and Dr. Colfer to everyone I know! The waiting room is shared with other doctors' offices on that floor, but quite roomy. The entire office (including restrooms) were very clean; the front staff was polite and helpful, as well as the M.A. who did my vitals and EKG was professional yet friendly. Then Dr. Christine Browning, MD arrived; she was quite friendly and had a great sense of humor- which was refreshing- because I'm a former Navy Hospital Corpsman and retired Paramedic with a personality somewhere between comedic and provocative... She actually found a serious issue and set me up with testing right away. I'm glad she put up with me. I'd recommend this practice in a heartbeat! (Pun intended!) Thanks, Doc!

It's very confusing to go from one NP or PA to another for an issue to get settled. Although it was a lot of trouble to change, I want to see a doctor for my heart issues without making a big deal. I also did not like Accuhealth for taking daily blood pressures. Now, I have a nurse that calls me every month to discuss what is going on and make connections for me if an appointment is necessary. I realize medical care is different than a few years back so sometimes you have to take the initiative and be active in your personal healthcare.

I first came here couple…read moreof months ago for a bone density test, and came back today for my mammogram and yearly checkup. The building is clean and bright, with ample parking. The staff who I've encountered have been pleasant and super helpful. They even reached out to my old doctor and hospital in Washington state to get all of my records as this facility does not use epic (mychart). I saw Dr. Cassidy today and she was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to get to know me and listened to any and all concerns I had. She has a great bedside manner and thoroughly explained what she was doing. While no one really likes the annual exam process, she made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Cassidy and the team at Virginia Women's center.

What!!!!!. If that's how they care about their patients I am so grateful. I am not seeing those doctors. Never heard of not rescheduling a new patient. Never heard of a grace period that short. I was never so grateful to walk out the door as I was to leave this hospital. Billing me rather than my insurance. I was told by their records company that they have no medical records for my treatment and I was inpatient for 5 days after surgery! I tried calling administrators and couldn't get through to anyone. Apparently they just don't care what patients think and definitely not about how they feel.
