During my stay, the care I have received has gone far beyond the call of duty. The nurses, nutrition staff, occupational therapy (OT), and physical therapy (PT) teams have all worked together to make my stay feel as comfortable as possible--almost like being at home. Their kindness, professionalism, and encouragement have meant more to me than words can express. I especially want to recognize Nurses Gina "Q", Deja, and Mel, who have truly exceeded expectations. Their compassion and dedication helped reassure me that I am going to get better, and I am deeply grateful for the professional care I have received. Thank you to everyone at Chippenham Hospital who has played a part in my recovery. Your hard work and kindness make a real difference in patients' lives.

These hospitals only work off of numbers and greed, hire the worst of the worst…read more I've been to this hospital myself. I didn't have such a bad experience but my dad's story has changed my view on this facility. My fkn dad had open heart surgery here and one night in recovery the staff left him over six hours laying slump in a chair he couldn't lift himself off of. There are supposed to be check in's hourly or even less and they left him like that until my mom came to visit the next morning. My mother is the one who lifted and situated my dad into a comfortable position (she is 5'2" and 120lbs doing this by herself) and then proceeded to let the entire floor hear how the staff neglected him and she was well within her rights. Someone needs to step in, if there isn't a head nurse that can manage a staff they need to either install ai capable cameras in every room or hire people outside of this area who are worth a fk. Don't take your family here.

$992 charge for lidocaine. I had to request an itemized statement to even find out I was charged for this.

Keep in mind if you do have to go to this awful hospital they decided to close the main parking deck, and if you do manage to find a spot on the street and paying for parking the stupid rejects that monitor them will give you a parking ticket apparently they hire illiterate people. AVOID PLEASE

I arrived at day clinic and informed staff that I was not feeling well. I was told that I can go to an outside urgent care facility or the ER. I choose the ER. That about a few minutes before 11 a m. I arrived at ER around 11 am. I was first patient there. I sat around waiting be registered. Registration told place around 6 pm Now the ER is full looking like the United Nations. The last time I was there for mental health. The staff refused to explain to me about what was going on. When I spoke up they threatened me with TDO and transferred to another unit where my personal belongings were stolen. A pair of prescription glasses and skullcap. I was also attacked in that same unit. People of color are treat terribly. I will not be returning to MVC ever.

For planned visits: 5 stars Emergency room: 2 stars…read more Let's get it out of the way: No one likes being at the hospital. But for planned care appointments, my experiences have been as positive as they could be. I was treated with courtesy, politeness, and respectful care for each visit. Reception staff was efficient and patiently gave instructions and directions for check in. The Lab Corp technicians were incredibly kind and accommodating when I didn't feel well after a blood draw. The doctors and nurses I dealt with for procedures explained each step of the process and made sure I was comfortable. I really appreciate that from medical staff. Unfortunately my ER experience was not as pleasant. I was there on a Sunday night due to possible complications from a procedure earlier that week. Initial triage and placing an IV port was fairly prompt, within 30 minutes, but I then waited more than three hours to be seen. During that time a man suffering a true emergency arrived (screaming in pain and violently vomiting) and the staff took their sweet time to wheel him in and then took far too long again to get him from the waiting room. When I was finally seen a doctor did a very quick confirmation that I didn't need any immediate treatment and told me I could leave. But the staff actually forgot that I was in the room to give me discharge papers and remove my IV! I had to find someone myself. In all I was there for 5 hours and probably 15 minutes of it with medical staff. It also cost me well of $500 out of pocket after insurance.
