I would recommend taking a brush type of tool to help the cracks and edges because the mouth of the vacuums are on the thicker side. They offer free glass cleaner solution spray and unlimited microfiber towels for you to use there so you have everything except special/specific products you may want to use. I went to get my car washed. After getting my car washed I went to vacuum it out and raw sewage from this machine covered my upper body, got in my hair and ruined my white blouse. I actually thought it was raining; once I saw this black stuff spilling all over me and inside my car door and front seat. I had to jump back in my car and shut my door. I drove back around to the attendants there and told them what happened. They could careless but did take my name and number and gave me (get this) a napkin to try to whip the debris off my face. My white blouse was totally ruined with black nasty smelling spots all over my blouse. I was on my lunch break and had to head back to work for a meeting. Needless to say there was no way I could go back to my office looking like this. I had to stop at a boutique downtown and purchase a shirt for $50. The manager Craig Martin, Site Manager at Ultra Car Wash called me at work. During our conversation he indicated that I would be reimbursed. I sent him the receipt for the blouse that I had just purchased. The actual blouse I had on was $75 that I purchased a year ago from Dillard's in Miami Florida; however, I do not have the receipt as it has been well over a year since I purchased the said garment. I told him I would like very much to be reimbursed for the blouse as well and to please mail a ck to me. I also told him to please cancel my membership with Ultra Car Wash. This is from the Mgr: Again.. I apologize for that happening to you at our car wash. Yes you will be fully refunded for the damage to your dress. I do not expect you to have a receipt from a year ago. My CSA Donnise terminated your membership when you asked her to do so. I will however go back into the system and confirm this for you. The last straw bale that broke this ersatz St. Sebastian's back was a vehicle that was returned with multiple knife-cuts to the side of a leather seat and a 5" scrape on the top surface of the driver's seat that removed the top layer and color. And oh, yeah, they decided to break off the electric mirror adjustment control as a thoughtful bit of lagniappe. A horde of people at Koby verified the new damage (easy peasy since the mechanics and service writers knew none of the damage was there when they were working on the vehicle BEFORE it was sent to Ricky's House of Carnauba Horror) and one sharp-eyed individual noticed the vertical slices in the new clearcoat. (The clearcoat was new because of damage to the car door during a previous Koby service appointment. But that's a story for another time.) Interestingly, Ricky used his transcontinental psychic abilities to prove that he knew the damage wasn't done by his employees. One hopes he learns to channel this invaluable trait into predicting natural and manmade disasters so that he can be of true value to mankind. Meanwhile, I would advise finding a different auto detailer unless, of course, one of your longstanding Family Traditions involves instructing Beauregard to take the fleet of Range Rovers and Buicks for their quarterly Simper and Shine under the tender ministrations of Alabama Auto Clean OR you have documentation certifying you are a bonafide Local and Well Connected Member of the Community of Mobile.

They are amazing!" They have several levels of service, but it's all listed at their website. I told the guy how highly recommended his company came and I jokingly told him he now had to live up to his name. He laughed and promised they would. They did! To be honest, I didn't even get a carpet shampoo, but it looked better than when the detailer did it in Atlanta and that was WITH a shampoo. I got the "Complete Detail" which I'll admit is pricey. I paid half of that in Atlanta, but again, the one in Atlanta wasn't nearly as good as this. I'm not rich and I have a really old car (it's a '97 Geo with over 150k miles), but I do like to get my car detailed at least once a year just to keep it looking decent. All I can say is that you are definitely getting what you paid for. I don't like to part with money at all (see my review for the dollar theater in Atlanta) and am a serious bargain hunter. Still, this was worth it! I'll definitely go back and tell everyone I'm very pleased. :)

BEWARE TAKE 5 OIL CHANGE By a person who should have known…read morebetter. On April 4, 2025, at exactly noon, I pulled into a Take 5 Oil Change on Government Street, filled with tempered optimism for what I assumed would be a basic engine and differential oil change--no full spa treatment. I didn't want them whispering encouraging things to my Subaru. Just the oil, please. In and out, like a drive-thru brothel for cars. By 4:00 p.m., the car began jerking and grinding as I was on my way to New Orleans. Other cars flew past me while the poor Subaru clunked toward Grand Bay. I had the car towed home. The next day, with the kind of blind optimism usually reserved for first dates and timeshare presentations, I brought the car back to Take 5, thinking they would magically fix it with their fancy lubes and oils. The technician got back under the car for a few minutes before emerging sheepishly at my side door. He nodded solemnly and admitted on camera that "he was pretty sure the differential oil was low." He then suggested I drive it around the block. You know, like how doctors recommend jogging on a fractured leg. I did what he asked. Unsurprisingly, the car sounded like it was trying to poop out a wrench. He said he'd file a damage claim. Reader, he did not. Instead, I spent the next week chasing down someone--anyone--who would acknowledge that something had gone terribly wrong with my car. Eventually, I was passed along to Fleet Response, a third-party claims handler whose customer service seemed to be modeled on the customer service in Guantanamo Bay. They instructed me to have the car towed to a mechanic of my choosing. I chose. The mechanic said they'd obviously used the wrong oil and confirmed that Take 5 was to blame for the damage. All of it. He submitted his diagnosis directly to Fleet Response. On April 25--three weeks to the day since this whole saga began--a Fleet Response adjuster called me to say they were denying the claim, just like that. The glove didn't fit. In addition to 5 minutes of existential remonstrations, where I explained in very specific detail that the adjuster was a soulless liar whose only objective was to ruin lives for profit, I told her: --The car was in perfect condition before I took it to Take 5. --It broke down four hours after Take 5 touched it. --A professional mechanic diagnosed the problem and blamed Take 5. --There was a video of a Take 5 employee admitting there wasn't enough oil. --It only had 60,000 miles on it. But no. Fleet Response didn't see a connection. For them, the damage was just one of life's little mysteries--like crop circles or how glitter gets into everything. So, I'm sharing this as a warning: if you ever feel the urge to pull into a Take 5 Oil Change, maybe... don't. Unless you enjoy calling customer service while your car oozes fluids in your driveway and you question your faith in small miracles and large corporations.
