They loosened the cover on the bottom of my car because Honda "always uses power tools and they put it on too tight" and I barely made it to my neighborhood before 2 screws fell out and the cover was scraping along the pavement. Although it isn't specified whether they mean take 5 minutes or take 5 hours, I can tell you confidently that in my 2 times coming here it's the ladder. all 3 employees present are working on the same vehicle at a rate of about 1 vehicle per 45 minutes. They told me it was because they only had one computer currently working but it has been this slow both times I've came. This place is a joke. We waited 40 minutes and they completed one oil change in that time. There were two guys working, and they both worked on the same car. The second car they started working on apparently was a chatty customer because one of the workers was leaned on the passenger side window for over 5 minutes making small talk. We eventually left because we had two tired kids in the car, and it wasn't worth it to stay. read more

This was my second time coming to this take 5. My first experience was great. Not so much this time. I pulled up the guy came out gave me a water and directed me into the bay. At the time he was pulling me into the bay another truck pull up. I sat in the bay for 30 minutes waiting. The one guy finally finished up with a vehicle and they pull the truck in the bay also. Then we sat there another few minutes and the guy went to the truck and started getting his mileage and vin number and stuff and I was like wth I was here first. So I started my vehicle and asked them to close my hood and guide me out of the bay. I won't be back!!! I'll go to the dealership and pay twice for an oil change if I have to. I should have read the reviews... mine is mild. But, time is important I also realize sometimes things happen. He should have just told me to come back. Came in for an oil change and had to wait over an hour before ever being serviced. On top of that it took 30 min just to change my oil. The guys were friendly but they only had two employees working and they were not very quick to say the least. Very short handed which was the exact same situation when I came here months ago. I will definitely not be coming back to this location again. The service was par and you'd be quicker going elsewhere. read more

Waited 10 mins to even be greeted. The manger Brandon is all show. Singing loudly to the Holiday music while not paying attention to his team nor helping them. It was entertaining at first I'll admit much like a clown at a circus. The lot was now full with all the bays loaded & people waiting & the manager announces he's going inside the office to do "office work" while it's this busy. I waited over 45 mins to even begin having a conversation about when my oil change would start only to be told they didn't have the correct oil for my requested oil change. This could have been the discussion at the moment they had me pull into the bay. I wasted my entire time here and it's not the first time I've experienced poor customer service here. Jamar was great though and appreciated him doing the air in my tires. Please get this manager to do better you already only have a 2 star rating here. read more

I've been going to Take 5's since I got my car when I was 16 (I'm in the 20's now) and have always preferred them for my in between services I get at the dealership. This Take 5 is just ok. I'd suggest the one in west Mobile near Wholefoods far more than the Daphne location. It gets 3 stars since they changed my oil, offered me a chilled water and weren't rude, but they weren't very friendly either. Also, my oil change took over 30 minutes from the time they first started working on my car. If I compare this location to Mobile then I'd give it 2 stars considering Mobile washes my window, checks my tires gets me in and out within 15 minutes and has some of the friendliest staff around. TLDR; Service took far too long and was not the quality that I've received at previous locations. read more

So this place is brand spanking new. It's in the front corner, by Publix, right where the old gas station and car wash used to sit. I have to admit, the location is pretty convenient. I stopped in yesterday for a quick oil change. I opted to go with the $58 package, which is the lower level of the first tier they offer. I have to get the high dollar oil because it's what's recommended for my car. Plus, I only have to get an oil change every 5,000 miles. Compared to the other place I usually use, they put air in my tires and clean my windshield, in addition to checking my air filter and topping off fluids. It's about the same price. They weren't super busy yesterday. I was in and out within about 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. All in a all, I'm happy to have the place so close by. It sure beats driving across town for an oil change. read more

Unnecessary sales. I've been to this location and one other with zero complaints until today. I sent my 17 yr old there with instructions "tell them you want the same oil change I've gotten before". So even though she consented to it, I'm not understanding why anyone would offer her an oil change that cost over $100 even with an $10 off coupon. (after tax & fees)? Jeremy that location basically said we recommend what the tech feels is best, no one forced her. No they didn't force anyone but if I told her to buy the exact same oil change as last time then you don't need to sell her anything else. IDC why your technician or sales team is forced to recommend. Thank God you were out of the air filters for our car. hate to see what that would've added. For the price and service quality I would definitely go somewhere else. Unfriendly staff will throw a fit when you decline premium oil or replacement of windshield wipers. If you think that they will do anything that's on the check list - good luck with that! No tire pressure checked, windshield fluid... but they will surely mark it as checked. Two times I've been there and received the same terrible service. Won't go back any more. Good thing is that there's no line, so you don't have to wait if you are in a hurry. Maybe that's just because people don't really like that place. Poor management I assume. I'll give them a two more months before they run out of business. read more

Bought a car and was unsure of the last oil change so I took it here. The staff was not knowledgeable of the different types of oil and just told me one was for stop and go and the other was for highway. Got home and oil is dripping down from the filter. (I just hope that it's the old oil) They did a sloppy job and for a $85 oil change I'm less than impressed. My daughter had just purchased a used Toyota Camry from auction, therefore we had no knowledge of the cars history. I stopped by Take 5 for a lube job. I was guided into the bay for oil change, the technician took my information then after a discussion with another gentleman under the car came and informed me the oil was just recently changed and recommended I forgo the oil change based on the date on the oil filter by the last service mechanic. He then checked all the fluids and sent me on my way for no charge. They could have took my money and I would have been none the wiser. Such honestly will be rewarded, this would have been a one time visit, because of this experience I have returned with all three of my vehicles many times, each time I have received excellent service with no unneeded upsells to pad the bill. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMATION OF SERVICE THAT WILL BE PERFORMED AND PRICE TO BE CHARGED!!! I will never go back here again. I have been here once previously and received what I felt was knowledgeable and courteous service. Today I sent my son up to get the oil changed. I called ahead to find out the cost of their basic oil change ($42.99) and sent my son with a $10 off coupon. My son called as soon as he arrived and had me on speaker. I wanted to ensure they didn't upsell him for anything else since I sent him with the exact amount needed. We continued to wait for someone to come to the window to give the options and cost, but nothing. All they asked is if it was 5w and he said he guessed so. Next thing I know, I am getting a bill for $112!! Several months back I was going on a long road trip and had gotten the more expensive oil change there for that purpose. Apparently, as a return customer, rather than ask and confirm the price of the service they will be performing, they simply ASSUME you want the same as the previous time. To me, this is an absolutely asinine practice. Why would any service provider not review the service to be performed and confirm the price of that service is ok with the customer before performing it??? When we told them it was inaccurate and not what we wanted/came in for, we were told they had already poured the oil and there was nothing they could do about it. They tried to get my son to sign a sheet that said we would pay within 24 hours (since I only sent him with the right amount for the intended service). I told them absolutely not my son would not sign anything. I proceeded to call the manager (admittedly irate at this point). The manager put me on hold and NEVER CAME BACK. While on the phone with the manager, apparently the technician had my high school son give him a different card for payment so he could 'clear the bay'. I called my son and he said they charged him $112.10. I had to call back and again get the manager on the phone. I was told the manager didn't know the technician had charged a different card to clear the bay while he and I were talking (but why didn't he come back to the line where I was holding and tell me this and how it would be rectified rather than just leave me on eternal hold??). I told him I would be making calls to every manager I could get a phone number for and posting reviews on social. He proceeded to tell me the charge would be refunded, which I appreciate (although I was more than happy to pay for the service we initially came in for). Now we wait to see if the charge does in fact come back to my son's card (a high schooler by the way). read more

To make a long story short --- Unprofessional, slow, could care less if they get your business. Lazy workers hand tightened my skid plate back in that they removed to access filter. Drove for a week with no issue, then while traveling across states at midnight the skid plate starting scraping the ground and only had 1 bolt in it they actually tightened. Was stranded for about an hour and ended up using a strap to rig it up to get the last 50 miles home. Still no skid plate on my truck as I got two bolts for it, but the front 2 are a different size than the back 2. Will never go back and won't recommend to anyone!!! read more

I went the first week they opened, and I had great service. I went today, and I had the opposite experience. The service was poor. The man taking my information scolded me that I was 2,000 miles over their recommendation. It had only been 5,000 since my last change. The man conducting my oil change was talking on his cell phone the whole time. Very unprofessional. They also left a drop of yellow paint on the interior of my door I am unable to remove. Overall, it was a poor experience. I will take my business elsewhere. read more
