I first hired Rick's crew to clean up the yard at my mother's house after a 12 month remodeling project in which the yard hadn't been touched. A small crew came in and raked up at the leaves, bundled them up and hauled them away, and then mowed and cleaned up the plantings. They quoted the job up front and there were no surprises. All good. Next I hired them to replace a fence that was falling into my mother's yard. Turned out there was a long standing dispute with the prior owner and the neighbor - this had to be done right. Rick's crew, led by Luis, came in, removed the old fence, laid out the new posts, and quickly finished the fence shown in the last two photos below. What I really appreciated was Luis' experience which fixed some things I specified and made them better. Since this job I've hired them for one more fence and two more garden projects. Originally with the first two projects did a great job...however the last two...not so much and even the last one...didn't complete the job and after 7 weeks was told they didn't have time to finish. Also be aware of price inflation..two weeks before charged a friend of mine $85/hr but for me it was $125/hr. That is the second job he tried to charge me double what other bids were and what he charged my friend. read more

We had a few stumps to remove and a lot of trimming and pruning on a yard that had been neglected for a while by previous owners/renters. Rick and his team were a little pricey, but they were very good at everything they did. They made the yard in the front and back look amazing. The only thing that I was not happy about was one of the guys must've just put a bunch of leaves in between a wall and a bush in the courtyard right in front of our dryer vent. There was never that many leaves in that space (about 2 feet of them) and I think he had forgotten them and just stuffed them where we wouldn't see them right away. I know it wasn't Rick's fault, he was always very professional, I just know that one of his guys must've done that. Paid $85 them for an inspection and repair bid for my home sprinkler system. A week later I received a phone call with a very non-specific bid: labor 2-3 hours and parts $50 to $100. When I questioned the labor cost and explained that I would not ask for more than what was agreed during the inspection he said if I would approve he could do the job in 2 hours. Why pay $85 for an inspection and go over everything in detail including what would be changed at every single sprayer if I cannot even get a specific list & cost for parts.
