From our first meeting we found them to be friendly, knowledgeable, and we loved that they did their best to get to know us as a couple. At this meeting they showed us their work, answered our questions, and did not pressure us AT ALL to choose them as our photographers. We felt really good after we met with them and decided to hire them on right away. Kenn and Lisa were so wonderful when it came to keeping in touch with us to let us know about dates/times/locations for our engagement shoot. We chose two locations in Downtown LA which was AMAZING considering it was such a commute for them. They made us feel comfortable and at ease during the shoot which was important since neither one of us had done a photo shoot before and felt a little awkward about it at first. When they were done, the engagement pictures came in a beautiful package and had several hundred pictures on them. We used these pictures throughout our wedding process and got many compliments on how great these were. A couple of weeks before our wedding, Kenn and Lisa met with us to discuss our wedding day. We went over a rough timeline for the day and they gave us a good idea of what pictures would be shot when. We gave them some additional suggestions and they made sure to include these in our shots! Our wedding day went smoothly and Kenn and Lisa were prompt, calm, and excited for the day. They made sure to get all the standard shots (i.e. posed bridal party photos, pictures with our parents, portraits of us, etc.) but they also made sure to photograph all the details we created for the day. We were so happy with the end result and will not hesitate to use them in the future.

Kenn and Lisa definitely have a great understanding about current photography styles and taste, which translates into beautiful photos. What really made the deal for us was the fact that they touch up EVERY single photo, and found ways to work within our budget! We were also very impressed by their professionalism. During our initial meeting, Kenn and Lisa came prepared to answer all of our questions and concerns, and were open to our ideas.They researched our venue and recognized our vision right away. We met a few times before the wedding, and they had a photography list already made -one less thing for the bride to worry about. All I needed to do was go through the list and check off anything we absolutely wanted, or didn't care for. The day of the wedding was a great and fun experience. Neither my husband, or I like to take photos, but they made us feel comfortable and at ease. We weren't forced to do things that didn't come natural to us. Kenn and Lisa also worked so well with our family, and got all the additional shots we asked for. They worked really hard and we appreciated all their efforts especially because it was 110 degrees out! Kenn and Lisa maintained their professionalism even after the wedding was over. They were totally on board with our elopement/ marriage in the middle of the forest. Since we only had 2 videographers and 2 photographers at our wedding it was extremely important for me to find a photographer that would capture our wedding day exactly as it was, since that would be the only thing I would have to show our family's. They knew exactly what they were doing and what would make for a great photo. One of my favorite things that they did was taking a look on my Pinterest to find out what I liked about other wedding photography and made sure to incorporate that similar look or pose into my photos but still keeping their own take on it. Bobby's work is beyond exceptional! He really went above and beyond for me as we set our location at the LA Arboretum in Arcadia which is quite a drive from his location in Long Beach. During the shoot, he was very understanding and patient as it was a hot Friday morning and I had my 4 year old toddler whining halfway through and not being cooperative with the picture taking. Bobby still managed to get amazing shots that I will forever love!! I He even stayed almost an extra hour so we could take full advantage of all the scenery of the Arboretum. We had our engagement photos and wedding photos done by him and his team. The day of the wedding him and his assistant were on time, teamed up with our videographers, and delivered very good photos with minimal photoshop. Tips for future couples using Darnall Photography : prior to the wedding let him know the schedule, show him specific poses that you would like in advance, and designate someone to be responsible to position the bride's veil and train.

Here are just a few issues that come to mind years later: * HE WAS LATE! - We got married at the Surf & Sand in Laguna Beach and Chris Darnall didn't even show up on time! He blamed it on the fact that he couldn't find parking! That's when you suck it up and valet! Needless to say we got absolutely ZERO photos of myself or my husband getting ready!! (We also got no photos of the dress, shoes, rings, etc) *He wasn't prepared! - He had no idea where to set us up for photos so the entire wedding party was following him around the resort like a herd of cattle. He said he had worked at the Surf & Sand before but that was hard to believe by the way our wedding day unfolded. Total Chaos! *His timing was horrible! - He waiting until after our evening wedding to take our group wedding party pictures. He definitely didn't account for the lighting because the sun was set and all of the picture of our wedding party came out dark! *Unprofessional! - If our wedding day experience wasn't bad enough, when our wedding photo book arrived it was damaged! We let his know the book came damaged and he said he would replace it but never did!!! Whatever you do, do NOT use Darnall Photography for your wedding day! ...You might regret it, just like we do.
