Baja Viches has gained a reputation for its seafood masterpieces and combined with The Press's food style, we all waited in anticipation. Since the merger I've visited The Press a few times and during my visits the staff was always respectful and attentive. I always asked about their dishes and they've all been extremely knowledgeable. On one of my visits I asked if they had any healthier alternatives to the tortilla. One of the hosts recommended the Keto Surf & Turf. This was a steak and shrimp taco in a cheese shell. The taco was insanely delicious, I also ordered 2 of their pork belly tacos to go. I had planned on sharing them with the misses, but it seems they were so good, she ate them both. I for one enjoy the decor and their choice in music, one time it was reggae and another soft rock. All in all it's always a great experience and I would strongly recommend you visiting The Press.

The French Toast came with a cup of whipped cream and I know this because it came in a soup cup. That alone is 450 calories, and if you add raspberry sauce, powdered sugar, almonds, three huge Texas Toast slices dipped in egg, covered in Frosted Flakes, cooked with butter and syrup, this is easily a 2000 calorie dish. Note to owner, some plaintiffs lawyer is going to come in and do the simple math and could bring a consumer protection lawsuit. Might want to reevaluate this dish's calorie count.

Chicken fried chicken dinner evaporated from his plate. The burger and onion petals seemed to have delighted the nephew. One of the ladies in our party seemed happy with her chicken strips, which were more than abundant! Another ordered a diet plate of some sort with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and was especially happy. A new item on the menu appealed to another. Louisiana shrimp skillet. Was flavorful, and those who tasted the nice portion of shrimp agreed that it was surprisingly delicious. The side, dishes of okra, and greens are always favorites. All of us commented on the new menu. Although we missed the old format, this one is easier to hold, and the print is bold enough that you're not needing to use your flashlight if you're older like we are. We are thankful that the menu has the old favorites, something new and that Cracker Barrel values its customers.
