Considering a loved one had remembered how much I loved the egg and a hole breakfast item that Cracker Barrel used to have on its menu, and called to give me the news that it's back, it's ironic when family traveling through called and wanted to meet up at Cracker Barrel yesterday around lunchtime. Yep it's back by popular demand but it's now called egg in a nest. What the heck? Anyway every one ordered something different and we ate to our hearts content and had no complaints whatsoever about the food, the ambiance or the cleanliness. Chicken fried chicken dinner evaporated from his plate. The burger and onion petals seemed to have delighted the nephew. One of the ladies in our party seemed happy with her chicken strips, which were more than abundant! Another ordered a diet plate of some sort with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and was especially happy. A new item on the menu appealed to another. Louisiana shrimp skillet. Was flavorful, and those who tasted the nice portion of shrimp agreed that it was surprisingly delicious. The side, dishes of okra, and greens are always favorites. All of us commented on the new menu. Although we missed the old format, this one is easier to hold, and the print is bold enough that you're not needing to use your flashlight if you're older like we are. We are thankful that the menu has the old favorites, something new and that Cracker Barrel values its customers. It's such a nice thing to be able to travel and dine at any location and feel like your unfamiliar surroundings. But I wonder why is that there are so many locals who freely admit that they have never yet dined here? One maintenance issue... the latch on the ladies handicap stall door is STILL needing to be fixed! One issue with our visit. Not once were we offered refills on beverages. read more

Been coming here for a while but it's gone downhill. Tonight's dinner wasn't good at all. Ordered the Salmon dinner. It was ok but the bed of rice it was on was the worst. Almost broke a tooth trying to eat it. The okra side was bland and the macaroni side was also. My biscuits were good but would have liked some jam with them. My waitress was busy elsewhere and I wasn't going to wait. I had some pesky flies bothering me and was ready to leave! I asked for a tea to go and she brought me a kids sized glass. Really? This experience wasn't worth the 26 dollars I spent. Bring back the old Cracker Barrel. read more

Breakfast was amazing this morning!! The strawberry cheesecake filled pancakes were so tasty, big portions and hit the spot. My friends also got the chocolate chip pancakes with eggs, bacon, the old timer meal- all were hot and delicious. Darius was kind and helpful, he had great customer service!! I love the rocking chairs out on the porch, the shop has so many cute items and they've got a ton of seasonal items to buy as well. read more

Took the family to Cracker Barrel today for brunch. We always love to stop here on our way to Peoria. The food was not as good as normal. My eggs came over easy and asked for over medium. The Grits were great the potatoes were warm at best. Kids had chicken tenders and fries they loved them and their parents had chicken fried steak dinner and chicken dinner. My wife had the burger and fries. Service was outstanding. The ambiance is old fashion dinner and it looks like it will stay that way. read more

I have been wanting to get some Blue Bell ice cream and Yuma is the closest place it's available. On Black Friday we set out on a road trip to Yuma. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for a late lunch. we arrived at 3pm and found they were doing a Thanksgiving menu. The fried turkey sounded interesting. Sadly they were out of turkey. I noticed on the specials board it was Fish Friday. Server let us know regular menu would not be available until 4pm. I waited. The fish fry was 4 piece of fried cod and 2 sides. Fries were battered with a crispy outside and a fluffy inside. Loved the mix of flavors from the light batter and the fried potato. Fried cod was battered with a light crunchy batter like the fried chicken. I loved the flavor of the southern style batter and the cod had a nice flavor. Biscuit was soft inside and I loved the mild buttermilk flavor. A bit like the KFC biscuits. Fried apples had an extremely sweet apple flavor. Great in small quantities. I liked the fish fry. I really do love their gift shop. They've got something for everyone. So in that spirit I tried to get some Christmas shopping done early. Yay. We sat down and had lunch while were here. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, fried apples and biscuits with apple butter. Delicious meal! I noticed you can shop in their gift shop online, however it seems they don't carry every item you see in the store. The only issue we've ever had is the wait time for the food. For some reason it takes about 45 minutes to an hour after you order to receive your food. Our waiter seemed used to this problem and was very efficient at handling upset people. oh wow!!! this is my first time in Cracker Barrel. I always see this (except in San Diego) but never tried til now. It has a different ambiance... kids will love their gift shop before entering the restaurant itself. Has a lot of good gift items. Very organized! Customer service is excellent!! Very nice and attentive! They keep on filling up my coffee... and their coffee is hot! I ordered their Grandma Breakfast... wow, their cured ham is tender, the sausage is lean, and their pancakes are kinda moist. I'm not a big fan of their hashbrown casserole, but the rest of the food served overpower the hashbrown! Will surely come back. read more

Service was awesome from Taylor! Infortunately the over all experience was dismal. The restaurant had few patrons when we entered about 7pm. The wait for being served was too long and the wait for the food was even longer. I didn't time it, but when my wife decided to shop while we waited for the food, and she took her time, she purchased some items and came back to the table and the food was still not served. Taylor apologized for the long wait several times. The food was ok, not great. We had the steak dinner with shrimp and a hamburger and a country fried steak that I found inedible. The gravy didn't have a good taste. The only saving grace was the store presentation with the Christmas ornaments! Last time we come to eat here! read more

Had Corey as my server and he was great! Hostess and rest of the staff were very friendly too. Had the Friday night fish fry which came with four pieces of fish and two sides. Initially the wait time was longer than estimated by the front staff. However after being seated, Corey H. was our waiter and his friendliness, attentiveness, and overall attitude was awesome. Cracker Barrel has been hit or miss sometimes but with Corey it was a definite HIT. The food was delicious and hot on the plate. No one left any food on the plates. It was the worst experience ever in the last 25 years of ever going to cracker barrel and ive been to various locations all over the country . Our waitress was Ruby who gave us the check 5 minutes into eating . Gave us boxes while we were still eating after saying we dont need them yet . Sarcastic and rude when I asked for different coffee since it was clearly burned . Overall she was rude and did not want to attend us . But she was happily talking to a white man sitting alone . After being a horrible waitress the whole time as we were leaving she sarcastically said have a good day . 0/5 stars . Let me start by saying this review isn't about just on Crackel Barrell location - it's about the whole chain, nationwide. My partner grew up in the Midwest, and Cracker Barrel has always been his go-to comfort spot. He loves it so much that a couple of times a year, we make a three-hour drive to Yuma just to get our fix. We check into a hotel, walk over to CB for lunch, explore Yuma attractions, then head back for dinner. And of course, before hitting the road back to San Diego, we stop in for breakfast. That's how much my partner adores this place. But all the admiration came crashing down. The ambiance? Still the same cozy, country feel. The service? Still that homey hospitable feel. But the food- the heart of the experience has taken a nosedive. The mashed potatoes? No longer creamy and buttery, just runny and bland. The meatloaf? Dry and lacking that home-cooked tenderness my partner remembers so well. It feels like Cracker Barrell has cut corners on quality to keep prices low, unfortunately, it shows. We've given CB plenty of chances, dining at locations across several states, and the story is the same: charm is there, the service is still solid, but the food just isn't what it used to be. We truly hope Cracker Barrel brings back the quality they were once known for. Until then, we're taking a break from our CB road trip tradition. read more

Employee that was supposed to bring out my food for pick up left it sitting on a shelf for 30 min. They couldn't find my order when I called so I figured they lost it and had to make it. When I went in to get it she got an attitude and only apologized when I got upset telling her it wasn't my fault either. She started gathering employees and telling them I was mad but it wasn't her fault. So stupid to be standing there talking about me while waited for the manager and could hear here! 40 min, cold food, and crappy attitude! Manager came out and was nice. read more

Called Cracker Barrel to see if it was pet friendly. The person who answered the phone said it was pet friendly but needs to be on a leash or carrier. We arrived with my dog in an enclosed stroller. Food and service good. Portions are plentiful, tasty and affordably priced. We always stop here when we're traveling through. They have their gift shop stocked with all kinds of Christmas gifts already. We picked up a few stocking stuffers. All the merchandise is pretty reasonable as opposed to other retail outlets. Cracker Barrel always delivers an amazing experience, and the service here is truly outstanding. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. The servers are quick to help and go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The warm, welcoming atmosphere pairs so well with the excellent customer service. This is definitely a place I enjoy coming back to because the service never disappoints. If your more on the anemic side they temp is just right, but if you get hot easily I recommend not bringing a jacket. read more

The worst experience of my life! We got seated quickly just to see people seated after us get our food first and leave before we even got our food in! Our waitress kept forgetting our order but would be attentive to the people around us! When our food finally came an hour and a half later it was cold! The only difference between us and the people around us is that we were the only brown people in there. Sad to see racism in 2026. Stay away from this place if you are not white! Classic Cracker Barrel feel with the fireplace and decor. Had a nice waiter named Tommy helping us out. They were out of dumplings but we wanted to wait for them but they never arrived before we were done eating so had to take them to go. Most dishes were hot and delicious. The country fried steak was a little tough and not as hot. Hash brown casserole was delicious and a classic. I suggest getting the apple butter for your biscuits, you will not be disappointed! I only wish we had a Cracker Barrel closer to where I live. read more

I'll preface this by saying, I love Cracker Barrel and this location gave great service & delicious food that I've come to expect. This is a convenient location off the freeway and was greeted by the familiar outdoor porch area and rocking chairs. Inside we were quickly seated and greeted. As usual everything looked good so opted for the 3 item sampler platter of meatloaf, fried chicken & chicken and dumplings with a side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. Delicious as usual and satisfied my comfort food craving. The biscuits and corn bread are also an added bonus to the meal. Besides the food I always enjoy looking at the store items especially this time of year where they have Halloween and holiday stuff. I wish they would open locations in Southern California, but on the flip side it is a special treat to eat here since it's not something I can get everyday. read more

I got the sampler and the chicken and dumplings were cold/lukewarm at best and watery, seemed as if they were microwaved. Fried chicken was decent and meatloaf was good and I liked the sides, but overall the freshness was not there. My friend was eating her friend chicken and in the second piece, found a hair in her mouth. Our server was very nice and understanding and got her a brand new order quickly, the wait staff here were prompt and super friendly so no issues there. Later in the night I started feeling pretty sick and I'm wondering now if it was due to the chicken and dumplings not being cooked properly or something else I ate here. I'd never been to Cracker Barrel so on the way out of Yuma, my bestie took me here for lunch. The first thing you walk into is the gift shop. Wow, do they have lots of stuff. There is a lot of penny candy in package form and holiday items, women and men's items, kid stuff. it was a bit overwhelming just for the sheer amount of stuff, but also for the amount of people. After you get your name on the waiting list, what's to do, but mill around the gift shop. I saw lots of things I wanted, but refrained from buying anything. My friend, on the other hand, bought lots of trinkets and whatnots for the grandkids. Once in the restaurant, there was lots of memorabilia on the walls. I loved the atmosphere. I ended up ordering the chicken dippers with the comeback sauce, hot Nashville sauce and buttermilk ranch sauce. Holy mackerel the comeback sauce is incredible! My sides were a house salad and the steak fries. Really good!! My friend ordered the old timer breakfast plate. She loved it. They were super busy so the waitresses seemed over worked and a bit frazzled. Overall, the service was great for how busy it was and the food was fantastic. Did you know that they bring out a basket of biscuits and gravy before your meal? So good!! It would be nice if a Cracker Barrel were in north county inland San Diego. I've only eaten here a couple times and it's always been pretty good. It's one of the stops on my way to the river or see family in Arizona. We don't typically stop to eat but always come by for the store! They have some really cool throwback/retro candy that are a must on any road trip! They also have some cool outdoor games like cornhole or oversized checkers for trips with big groups. Definitely worth the stop! read more
