    Cutlet Combo Plate

Ordered via Uber eats, speed of service was efficient. Ordered the Cutlet combo - portion sized and tasty. Would recommend, thank you!

This isn't Waikiki Grill or Hanauma Delight; this is Hawaiian BBQ. Straight to the good goddamned point! I like that. I also like that their food is delicious and feeds my musculature. Yes indeed, my friends, I went here post-gym for a densely packed protein feast. Since moving to Yuma, I've gained about 10 pounds. Now, it may be that only 1 of those pounds is muscle, and the other 9 are fat, but suffice it to say, Hawaiian BBQ has been instrumental to this worthy cause. The last time we visited, we entered the restaurant and placed a to-go order. After some 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got it. That's way too long to be hangry, so this time I ordered online: One "healthier platter," Atkins-style. This would include barbecue chicken, short ribs, and two fried eggs over a bed of inedible cabbage. Perfect. I arrived on the scene at my expected pick-up time, and I briefly engaged with the lady behind the counter. She questioned my identity and order, despite my being the only customer in the store for the only pick-up bag in her midst. I didn't mind, for the truth was on my side, as was all the protein. As soon as I got home, I dug into this mighty meal. I wasted no time with the cabbage, for that was a distraction. I mixed the eggs with flavorful bites of barbecue and appeased my anabolic demands. It was one hell of a lunch. So, give this place a try. They do have the standard stuff like rice and macaroni salad, plus those super-sweet Hawaiian beverages. I strongly recommend ordering online or for delivery, however. If you order on the spot, expect a few epochs to pass before you get your food.

I definitely recommend this spot. The service was quick and friendly. The location was clean. The food was delicious and the portion size was for two people. You can eat some and still have leftovers to take home. It's located conveniently near the movie theater so it's perfect for a dinner then a movie date.

The portions of the food seems really large but the majority of it is fillers. I ordered the short ribs and for sides, I picked rice and a side salad. The short ribs came on a pile of cabbage. The meat was tender, juicy, and had decent flavor. The meat was cut really thin. Everything else was just okay. There wasn't a ton of meat but there was lots of lettuce for the salad and lots of rice. I do like that they carry the Hawaiian ice teas I'm the can. The food seemed slightly over priced. The girl working at the register was really nice. And the restaurant seemed clean. I would eat here again if I happened to be in the area but I wouldn't actively seek it out.

Yuma, you should be so lucky to have this awesome little Hawaiian BBQ joint. They offer BBQ beef, short ribs, chicken and Kalua pork; saimin noodle soup, salads and also burgers (they have a white fish burger and a Teriyaki beef burger, for example). They even have a menu for kids. And they cater. The restaurant is located in an unfortunate spot, though: in an outdoor mall area right next to a movie theatre. What a strange spot! They seem to keep busy enough, though. You have my endorsement for the katsu and musubi. Granted, the musubi has about two pats too many for the rice, the flavor is on point. The katsu was done perfectly! Not too heavily battered -- no sharp edges -- and not at all soggy. If you order the combo plate and don't want the rice and the potato salad, as if they will substitute for a different side. I got the OK -- pretty sweet there. And it's a tiny spot. Very informal. Not a date night kind of spot. But perfect for family dining. And certainly a nice spot to stop in before checking out a movie.

I ordered BBQ mixed plate that included beef, grilled chicken, and short ribs with two sides (rice and macaroni salad). They give you a huge portion of chick and beef with one strip of short rib that is super thin. I would love to see a good balance of the meat portions. The flavor is great that the short rib reminds of kalbi seasoning that most flavor tends to be sweet. The server gave my order to another customer by accident so I waited longer than usual for my food, but the owner came up to me and apologized. The service could be better as I asked for water and never was given the water cup till I went up there to ask again. I'm not a huge fan of the macaroni salad but I will definitely go back for grilled meat.

I don't think this place has ever disappointed me and I've been coming here for years! I love their macaroni salad is super good and I always get the honeydew boba- by far the best flavor. My daughter also loves the taro. Good prices for good portions. The owners are sometimes here and the white haired man is so super nice.. he even went out of his way to bring us our plates and gave us extra silverware!! Details like this are what makes appreciative customers like me coming back.

Receipt of proof. All meals were NON Hawaiian authentic. Pics on site are deceiving. Cashier very nice and welcoming tho. Read my review.

Thur eve 9.17.20 jus visiting frm Ca. I came here iam jus giving the cashier Jesus 5 STARS cuz he was very welcoming and seemed nice and patient. The food was NOT AUTHENTIC sorry restaurant, I jus know Hawaiian food very well bring frm the island and Ca. The pics on website are deceiving. I noticed the woman(chef, possibly owner?) wasnt Hawaiian so maybe thats why. The BBQ Chicken was oily panned seared it seemed instead. Loco Moco Beef was like cardboard(tasteless). Matsubis were too sweet w Teriyaki Sauce. Bobo Drinks we good, but cant get that wrong really. Btw, never had Bobo Drinks at any Hi restaurant thats authentic. Thx for hiring good people tho.

Avoid. Food was mediocre at best, very overpriced especially the spam musubi, and not worth the 30+ minute wait.

But what you'll find is a 5 star restaurant once you step inside. They have patio dining as well as tables inside. Each meal is prepared and plated with culinary skill. On this day, I had the curry shrimp and veggies. A sort of deconstructed Thai yellow curry dish. The plating made all the difference. The plate was served with a shaped mound of rice in the middle, with sauteed vegetables around the edges, green beans, carrots, zucchinis, onions, peppers and 8 shrimp placed around the plate on top of the veggies. The Yellow curry was poured over the rice for a unique plating. The shrimp were cooked nicely and everything was delicious. I have never had a disappointing meal in this place. I sat near the front door and had a duel with a relentless fly for a while that was a little annoying. But hey, sometime we deal with things in life for the greater good. A top notch , do not miss restaurant in my book and I recommend to everyone I know. This day I purposely left my phone in the car so I could take a real break on my drive from San Diego to Tucson.

Prison Hill is the classic brewery serving a great variety of beers and food. Lineup for the night: Chango Malo (stout), Crimin Ale (cream ale), Peanut Butter Stout. Each beer was phenomenal in mouth feel as I like the richer, creamier beers. Chango malo had a lovely cocoa flavor. Peanut Butter stout actually tasted like peanut butter without being offensive. You can taste the peanuts behind the butter. The Crimin ale had a good mouth feel but pro tip - don't have a lighter beer between two heavier ones with spicy food. It gets a bit overpowered. On the topic of food, I had the Wrecker sandwich. Soft roll, smoked meat, and crunchy slaw made for a good dichotomy of texture in the sandwich. When you see smoke rings in a bbq sandwich, you know you're eating some primo shit. I'm not a big fan of spicy though but this was the right amount between the slaw and the fresh jalapeños. I felt like deviating from the usual burger and it was a good choice. Looking around at some of the other plates, I don't think I couldve gone wrong. Solid venue, good food, good beer, great staff. Usually I'm not into chains and handcuffs but if it means ending up at Prison Hill, lock me up baby.

I had the steak quesadilla, my wife had the bruschetta and we split a slice of key lime pie. Everything was cooked well and had wonderful flavor. The pie was so good we got an extra slice to go. Our server was friendly and made us feel welcome. She told us the pie was made in house, she likes to watch them juice the lines for it. It was a nice "high end" atmosphere that made it feel fancy. Our waiter, Raul, came to the table, and the birthday guest ordered a glass of wine and water. We placed appetizer and dinner orders and waited with high expectations based on previous positive experiences. The fish tacos were flavorful, but the salsa was extremely spicy. My mother-in-law asked if there was a mild salsa option, and we were told no, but pico de gallo could be brought instead. However, another staff member later returned and said pico had already been added to the tacos. I ordered the pork chops, which were overly salted. Another guest ordered a medium-rare steak, but the steak arrived looking well done and charred on the edges. When cut into, it was completely brown inside and difficult to chew. Waiter Raul took the plate to the back, then returned with the steak already cut and stated that the chef said it was cooked correctly and still a small shade of pink. He also said that if another steak was made, we would need to pay for it. I was very disappointed by how this was handled. My father-in-law chose to keep a positive attitude for the birthday celebration and tried to eat the steak anyway. Unfortunately, nothing was done regarding the overly salted pork chops either. The fish and chips were tasty, but when vinegar was requested, it was brought to the table and later added as an extra charge. Dessert was brought to the birthday guest, but we had to flag down the waiter again to request dessert for another guest at the table. Overall, this celebration was disappointing due to poor food quality, lack of accommodation with issues brought to staff attention, and unsatisfactory customer service. approached waiter Raul and mentioned that he could have been more attentive and courteous to our table. We still left the same tip we usually do 20%, although, based on the service we received, it was not deserved.
