It has a great little coffee shop with bake goods they brought in from a local bakery. I found the book I wanted, an iced tea, and a cookie and I was all set. The proprietor asked me about my selection and we talked a bit about it. All in all a great experience and I will definitely be back again.

The children's section was also wonderful and my kids found so many hidden gems. A lot of hardcover books they found were at a used book price, but looked totally new to me. I thought the selection for adult and kids books and the friendliness of the staff were way better than at the bookstore downtown, so I'm glad we made the walk over.

There's now a huge space with tables, chairs, and games. It's an open invitation to the community to come in, relax, and have a little fun. Another thing I love about this bookstore is that staff members handwrite notes about books they enjoy and attach them to the books. It's a thoughtful touch that helps connect the right readers with the right books. Near the checkout, I also noticed a sign reminding dog owners about the dangers of hot asphalt. It's a simple reminder, but it speaks to the community-minded spirit that seems to be woven throughout the store. Will we be back? Of course. My favorites are the small town bookstores with a staff that isn't shy about making suggestions. This store is located on the main street in Sisters and has a solid collection of used and rare books and maps. On this trip one afternoon, I decided to stop in when it was open and loved my experience here. It's an eclectic used book and art store. The cashier was immediately welcoming and shared that local high school students are mainly the artists on display, with all manner of things for sale. The main draw here is used books, arranged by topic, but there's artwork and antiques mixed in everywhere. I bought a few charms and some junk journaling style post cards. It's one of those places you don't really know what you want to buy until something speaks to you. Prices are reasonable, you can tell this is more of a passion shop.
