The owner (you'll know him by the majestic beard and Jedi-like calm) has created a space that feels more like the clubhouse of a literary wizard than a traditional store. My kids regularly burst in with chore money and vague intentions ("I want a cool book... or maybe a weird trinket... or both?"), and he always helps them find something they're excited about--usually tossing in a friendly discount and a bookmark like some benevolent book dragon guarding his hoard of stories and treasures. Then there's the store cat. Friendly. Regal. Frequently seen offering her belly like she's your new best friend--until she suddenly decides you've overstepped and smack, you've been chosen for sacrifice. My youngest considers her a highlight of every visit. Herringbone has an eclectic and well-curated mix: books (of course), LPs, mildly offensive candles that make great gifts (for the right people), a fun kids' corner with books and toys, and the owner is always happy to order something if it's not in stock. It's our go-to spot for birthday gifts, random literary whims, and just plain cozy vibes. Highly recommend. Just don't be fooled by the cat's exposed belly. You've been warned.

Kristie was amazing, no pressure and helped us make sure it would fit with our box spring before buying. We were able to get it delivered the next day and at a very reasonable price. John was also amazing! He was on time and set it all up for us so we didn't have to do a thing! He also took our old boxspring that was in the garage for a very small fee. If I ever need another bed frame or mattress, I will come here first! Just wish they could deliver to Portland too. :)

I've never seen a 'big eye' book, but there were large hardbacks on Margaret AND Walter Keane! If you're looking to fill wall space there was a gold 'Jere' esque (could've been authentic) gold wall sculpture of a mass of winged birds and a mod wall print in muted brown and gold, similar to one I own. Dresses and gowns that looked straight off the set of Wonder Years and silver glitter platform disco shoes were just a few of the epic pieces on display. The daughter found the perfect pair of vintage clogs and long flowy skirt that she treated herself to. The owner and I chatted about theater and bonded over her great taste, as it was reflective of so much that I collect and love myself. I'm happy to be the first to add this store and rating. On top of this, the owner or manager of the company offered to put a used processor out of his own personal computer that is several years old into our computer... And to complete my great service with this company, the screen is still broken and the cooling fans were never actually replaced, it still has the old fans inside it after taking the laptop apart myself. Do NOT go to this company, just buy a new computer... I spent $650 on this repair and could have boughten a new laptop of same version or slightly newer for just a couple hundred dollars more. Also, our repair took over two months!!! This company Sucks!

This place was huge, absolutely winding and everything packed into every corner. I know some parts of the United States have much bigger antique scenes, but coming from a Southern California California place like I originally came from the place are still amazing to me. Though to be honest, most of the time we're just looking and kicking tires if they definitely had some big unique items and if you love finding that gem in the rough, this might just be the place for you. Tons of Americana and prices seemed not cheap but not on the expensive in either so it might be the place to go if you have a little bit of money to spend.
