Kevin, the Master Technician, oversaw the installation, and Kris and his partner Chris handled the actual install over two full days. All three were extremely professional, personable, and honestly a pleasure to have in the home. Kris and Chris were funny, easy to talk to, and clearly took pride in doing quality work rather than rushing through the job. I was especially impressed with the attention to detail throughout the installation. The finished work looks neat and professionally done -- duct connections, drain lines, wiring, insulation wrap, and overall layout were all carefully handled. They took the time to explain things, answer questions, and make sure everything was done correctly. The system also came with a Daikin One programmable thermostat, which can be controlled either directly from the wall unit or from your smartphone. I especially liked that you are not forced to use the app if you prefer the old-fashioned convenience of simply controlling everything from inside the home. The new inverter system is noticeably quieter and the house already feels more evenly comfortable, especially in a split-level home where temperature balance can be challenging. After the issue persisting, we…read morehad scheduled a day to have the lines hydrojetted but due to scheduling they weren't able to service our pipes that day. They did offer a complimentary snake to get us by until a day that worked better for them and ourselves. During the snaking, Zach did pull back a bit root ball and discovered we did indeed have root invasion problems, which he offered replacing a section of the pipes as a solution. We were given ample time to mull over the info between hydrojetting or replacing. Since hydrojetting was a temporary fix, we opted for the pipe replacement, during which they would descale the existing pipes once given access during replacement. They also offered to add in an additional clean out location outside the home in case we have issues in the future. They showed up on the scheduled day ready to work. Despite a small hiccup which delayed them being able to start, once they did they worked through the day to finish the job. They communicated clearly as they started each step, making sure to show me how the descaling worked in a removed part of the pipe as well as where the roots were invading. They also put back the dirt and removed portion of sidewalk the best the ground would allow, also leaving some extra dirt so that it would settle more level as time passes. I am very pleased to have found Priority Plumbing for these services. It can be a real headache to deal with these issues, but they were easy to work with and very quick to respond to any of our communications. I will continue to contact them in the event we have other issues in the future!

When asked why they don't provide this, they say they are a service company and this allows them to avoid collecting sales tax. I don't know what that means. The quality of the work was very good and the person was very courteous. Based on the hours worked, I do feel like I was way overcharged and the lack of a detailed invoice may allow them to charge whatever they want at their discretion. My error was not scrutinizing from the beginning because I just wanted the work done. Lesson learned for me but proceed with caution.

They backfilled the hole and left a large mound in the yard, which they claimed would settle over time. It has not settled 2 months later. It has changed the whole shape and drainage of our front yard leading to erosion. Completely sloppy job. I would not recommend this company.

Do not recommend unless you want to pay top dollar for bottom barrel install. We moved into a home…read morewith a Shaw's 2016 heat pump install and will be spending ~5k to address the poor quality of the air handler install. The previous owners of my home were quoted 13k for this install. Code violations, did not follow manufacturer's instructions and no permits pulled. Permits have been required for changeouts in Talbot County since 2012. Shaws declined to view the install and consider making things right. Another local HVAC company saw this install and said "holy shit I wouldn't have put a sticker on this." - Our unit is only ~ 1 inch above grade and is supported by patio pavers. Both unit, ductwork and condensate pump are sinking into mud causing moisture and mildew problems. - Manager said he has never heard of codes requiring mechanical equipment to be at least 3 inches above grade. Attached is a screenshot of the 2018 international mechanical code (current building code for town of Easton, MD) regulation for clearances above grade. - Manufacturer's instructions included 4 inch condensate p trap, due to unit being installed only 1 inch above grade they installed a shallow trap (~ 1 inch) which manual says explicitly not to do. Picture attached. - No permits pulled. I believe that the unit would not have passed an inspection. - Duct work is touching dirt. - A crawlspace company that had no skin in this game noted our install is "in the bottom 10% of installs they've EVER seen in this area." - Our condensate pump was buried in mud despite unit saying "Indoor Only". Shaw's manager said that our crawlspace should be considered indoor, but at the same time also said that there was no secondary condensate system because it was not considered an indoor environment. Be prepared to get the angle that least benefits you if you use this company. - No secondary condensate drainage, secondary pan or no overflow detector which goes against manufacturers recommendations. The real kicker in this situation is that Shaw's refused to come out and view this install and to consider making the situation right. There was one other company that we had questions for after we moved in and they came out, assessed the situation and made it right. I would not recommend an expensive install with this company.
