Arrived a couple of hours after request on a very cold day when our heat was out. Unlike another company who came out twice, took our money and said "there's nothing wrong with your furnace" Chesapeake technician discovered the problem within five minutes, repaired it and left. If I could give NO STARS, I would. Very Poor service. This company had a tech that came out to look at my heating system. Told me everything was running, but my (almost 1yr old) compressor was giving out, but it was still running. However, he went outside one more time before leaving and all of a sudden my compressor has now given out (go figure). He purposely broke my compressor and then wrote up a report (that he never gave me a copy of), but according to my home warranty, he lied about needing 2 people to come out and fix the compressor, due to an access issue (2 person labor costs). However, the (almost 1 yr old) unit is outside , on the ground and was just changed in Jan 2025 with one tech. I guess him and his buddy need some extra holiday cash. They won't be getting it from me! read more

Stay away from this business! I replaced both HVAC systems near the end of 2023 and here we are for the 3rd time in 2 years calling a technician to have it repaired. The owners were very eager to work with us regarding pricing upon installation, so I was nice enough to recommend the company on my neighborhood app. After getting paid however, the company was not responsive to our repair issues and gave us excuses as to why it wasn't their fault. Both my upstairs and downstairs units have stopped working and needed new fuses/parts. Doesn't seem like I should keep having to spend money on almost brand new units after paying $16K. I regret ever working with this company. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere! read more

Highly would not recommend. I have had to schedule this company to come out 3 times now for the same issue. No one seems to be able to figure out how to fix my heat. The work is unsatisfactory and falls below acceptable performance. When contacting the company not only did their "supervisor" Wes want to argue and talk over me, he called me very negative. Though, I think if Wes were in my shoes, without heat when it's less than 30° outside and a local heating company tells him nothing is wrong with his heat and does not attempt to make him feel as a priority, he would be pretty negative about the situation too. Just all around poor business practices. Not only did Wes berate me as a customer, he also does not stand behind his employees work. As a manager, my professional opinion is that Chesapeake comfort systems needs some customer service and customer satisfaction training if they want to keep customers happy. read more

DO NOT USE this company. I would give them NO STARS if it were an option. The repairman was sent by American Home Shield Warranty (AHS). He entered our home with NO mask. He offered to sell us an AC unit for $$$$$, BUT when we refused he told AHS that we needed a new coil and 7 pounds of Freon which would cost us over $1200.00. He was trying to get our money any way possible. We got a second opinion and the service man told us that Chesapeake Comfort had disconnected our AC unit completely. After four months & four other tradesmen examining my thermostat issue, only Chesapeake Comfort Systems was able to resolve the matter in one shot! Bryan even assessed the propane pressure as a connecting issue, which no other tradesmen were able to conclude. He went away and beyond and cleaned up the wiring components that was damage from previous HVAC companies. I am more than a happy camper, I will NOW be a loyal customer to them! If I could give a ten star rating to Chesapeake Comfort Systems I would. They were professional, knowledgeable, very efficient and very clean on their install clean up. When American Home Shield sent the order over to them they responded to my service call for a new air conditioner and heating unit before I was off the phone with AHS. From the estimator, Eric, to Larry and Tyler, the install technicians, and Wes, the supervisor, who works all hours to provide great customer service, to ordering and scheduling the jobs promptly, I would recommend this company to anyone who needs an install to a repair job on their HVAC and/or heating units. All the way around they are prompt, courteous, professional, clean and extremely knowledgeable about their field. I have AHS as a home warranty company and unfortunately they contract with a lot of low rated service providers. The last tech asked to get paid under the table, so when I needed my AC serviced again I had AHS representative read off all potential contractors while I checked their reviews online. After about 10 contractors, we came to Chesapeake Comfort and finally a company with good reviews. They called me within 2 hours of being assigned the job and had someone on site by 1pm the same day! The service tech was knowledgeable, friendly, mindful of his shoes in the house, and assessed and fixed the problem within less than an hour. Previous techs told me I needed to replace the whole system, while Chesapeake comforts tech was able to easily identify the problem and test to make sure it had been resolved. Great experience with Chesapeake Comfort, will definitely use them again in the future! read more

He was back the next morning as soon as they got the parts. I also was impressed with the company sending me automated messages when he was on the way. The company has a very efficient system of keeping track of customers and the status of the job. This was an American Home Shield Claim. Total cost to me $75. They did not try and sell me other parts or services that were not covered which I hear a lot of companies do. So I guess I should add honest! read more

I had an HVAC duct work issue in the Attic and this company came to look at it. They were supposed to come back and provide a proposal and I did not hear back from them for a week. I contacted the office several times and they put me in touch with the owner. The owner indicated that he would need to perform an HVAC analysis for a fixed fee and I agreed. We set up an appointment and the day before when I directly contacted him to confirm he told me that he has other engagements that came up. We set up 3 more appointments and he did not show up and every time there was an excuse. I don't believe this company has the resources and expertise to do the work in this field. Worst than anything they are truly unprofessional in returning phone calls and keeping an appointment and follow through. They wasted my time for 3 weeks and never showed up to provide an analysis. read more

OUTSTANDING customer service from each encounter. My furnace went out and CCS was retained by my home warranty company. From the receptionist to the technicians, from texts to phone conversations, every interaction was pleasant and professional. As a homeowner in multiple states, CCS is, hands down, THE most exceptional HVAC contractor I've ever encountered. The technicians were very knowledgeable and even had to remove a beast of an old oil furnace. They left the site cleaner than when they arrived. Before leaving, the technician noticed the fan on the new furnace was already overheating, immediately contacted the manufacturer and had a replacement part on order! CCS was responsive with any requests/questions I had and they did an exceptional job keeping me informed. They are a BEST PRACTICE organization and the Eastern Shore is really fortunate to have them.
