At times, I needed the help of a professional marine mechanic and subsequently, I was referred to ANCHOR MARINE. This place has yet to let me down. What do I like? Well, I like that when something happens to my boat and I need it fixed, I can simple put it on the trailer and drop it at the shop. If it's after hours, I toss my keys through the slot in the office door. I then call them and leave a message about why I brought the boat in, my phone number and name. I get a call first thing the next morning. Most times, my boat is ready for pickup by the end of the day. Crazy fast service! Also, I like the people: The mechanic is a very straight forward person who is all about fixing things the right way. If he can save you money, he will, but no short cuts. It's always done right, the first time. I've never been back twice for the same repair. This place also does my routine, preventative maintenance annually, too. The gal who runs the front office is very friendly with a great personality. She typically is the one who calls to let you know what the mechanic finds, what the estimate will be, and ultimately when your boat is ready for pickup. She's also not afraid to get her hands dirty and works with the mechanic to button up your boat once he has made the repairs. Then, there is Phil, the owner. I'm pretty sure he's owned this shop a long time. I try to make it a point when I'm picking up or dropping off the boat, to go inside and chat with him for a few minutes. He listens to my stories and usually has one of his own to share. Don't let the serious demeanor fool you. He has a great sense of humor and I like to make him laugh at least once before I head out the door. Honest, fair priced, excellent workmanship and good conversation is what I have experienced at Anchor Marine. I am a customer for life... or until I sell the boat! LOL.

We just attended the annual marina party over the week end, and I set my purse down while setting up my dish on the buffet. Due to a distraction, I left it. And I did not even think about it for over an hour. When I realized I no longer had it, I panicked. I had EVERYTHING in it. Phone, keys, money, credit cards, even gift cards. I thought the worst when I returned to the buffet room and couldn't find it anywhere. But a member saw it and put it in a safe place and it was returned to me with all it's contents undisturbed. My relief turned to ultimate gratitude. This could have turned out very badly and cost me so much in time and worry. Thank you Midway for being more than a place to dock and store our boat. The sunset was beautiful. The night skylines were breathtaking on both the U.S. and Canada sides. The music was excellent. The band was very talented on the lower level and I got my hustle on with a little wobble on the upper deck with the DJ on the 1s & 2s. The staff was very nice from boarding to our departure. The staff was quick to retrieve empty plates and glasses. The Spanish inspired meal was delicious. From the Spanish Paella to the Spanish Flan and everything in between.

Ok let's be honest about this Marina I just bought a boat this year and the owner is a complete…read morenightmare he's the farthest thing from a people person I've watched him have screaming matches with people who pay to have their boats docked. His girlfriend the "new manager" gets drunk and gets very touchy(kissing guest, rubbing touching, I even seen her jump up and wrap her legs around a guy who then says what are you doing I have a wife and sitting on a guys lap) fun is one thing being drunk at work is another. The bathrooms were clean terribly I mean mopping the floor with dirt literally. The marina is completely a ghost town due to the marina owner I'm not saying party everyday but it's the weekend in the middle of the summer and it's hardly anyone at the marina because everyone is afraid to upset the owner you have to walk on eggshells around him they don't want to allow you to have gatherings at you boat so no "dock parties" they hardly do any events the only saving grace is Matt the helper and Shawn the mechanic the rest of the staff a complete disaster. Seriously I'd give a worse review if I could. I have video evidence if 3 guys filling up gas in the middle of the night on several occasions more than 1 boat brought this up to the owners girlfriend who said it was fine and they know about it but that's illegal.
