Got this taxi service from bangor to bar harbor. Full disclaimer: this gets a little political. It's 11pm, my ride pulls up around then. Old dude, smoking a cigarette. I don't care what drugs people choose to engage in off the clock but tobacco isn't my favorite by miles. I make small talk, he mentions the weather (it had been a rainy summer). He tells me it didn't used to be that way. The he goes on to tell me it's not CO2 emissions like the government wants you to believe- it's actually China spewing aluminum into the atmosphere to force it to rain. I sit in silence for about 20 minutes as he talks at me about this. I finally tell him, hey, it's midnight, I work tomorrow, please shut up. To his credit, he shuts up, then cranks up the radio. I don't know what channel this is but it's clearly recorded in some dude's basement- the speaker announces that scientists and doctors are hypnotizing us and using the placebo effect to trick us into thinking the Earth is getting warmer, hypnotizing people into getting heatstroke. Covid? Also placebo effect. There's an offhanded comment about how all the doctors and scientists wear transgender and ukranian flag pins (?). Like the guy is playing "offend x group" bingo or something. This goes on for the rest of the trip. Total ride was over a hundred bucks. Next time, I'll just get a hotel and take the $9 bus in the morning. Overall, wouldn't recommend this service unless you're doing research for a thinkpiece about how America's elderly gets brainwashed. read more

well I called and made a reservation 48 hours prior to my flight.. And NO ONE SHOWED UP! I tried to call, NO ANSWER!!!! You would think these people would have it together after two years of negative reviews!!! Guess I was WRONG!!!!! Two years later and still "No show, No Call!" Thank God for UBER!!!!! read more

This was absolutely TERRIBLE! I was nearly forced to tip a specific amount on the excuse that my ride had to be at least 10$ for a credit card to be used - which i found out after research to be untrue. Absolutely awful! Never again. read more

I had a round trip booked from Bangor to bar harbor but on the return the driver didn't show up leaving my disabled husband stranded. I know my husband talks nonstop so this driver probably took a hard pass on picking him up after reading the previous comments. I know it was $100 to get to bar harbor, so go figure. Don't use them if it is important. I booked them for a trip to the airport. It was a long trip and would have been a good fare. We spoke several times. But in the morning of the trip, they simply didn't show up. I try to support taxi companies but this left me in the lurch. And, after being nice on the phone, they were utterly indifferent about their mistake. read more

I normally would not write a negative review but rather give direct constructive criticism. In this specific case though, it is an absolute must. I was given the middle finger right in front of my apartment, told to F**** myself through the window multiple times while being called a B**** who is whinney , a child , a baby, and self centered. I was probably called more names that are now escaping me. Ps: I do not know this taxi driver going off on me like that. Never did I once call this man out of his name, nor disrespect him in anyway. I was firm on having received bad service and wanted to exit quickly from that abusive situation. Here is what happened. This morning I contacted this company and spoke with a man named "Drew " about picking me up from the hotel across the Bangor airport. I was told he would be there in about 7 minutes and waited. Since I hadn't heard back from him after a while, I called and he told me he was parked across the street. Seeing it was a whopping negative 11 degrees outside I politely asked if he could come pick me up from the front. He did not want to do that for whatever reason. After I insisted it was freezing, he finally made his way somewhat close enough. Once in the car, I preceded to tell him how difficult it'd been to get a ride and asked why he couldn't come pick me up from the address I'd given him and had parked across instead. He responded that normally people don't b**** at him, and just walk across the street. And then preceded to tell me that the reason why i couldn't find any cab drivers before him was that I was too whinny and B****y. From there on, after telling him that would be my last time using his services and informed him I'd be leaving a review, he laughed and said I thought he was Uber and that his manager would back him up out of these "empty threats" untouched. I was not threatening him, but simply telling him what I would do once out of the car. The man then preceded to insult me throughout the ride all the way up to my final destination. He then rolled down his windows and continued to scream profanities at me even after I had walked inside. The neighboring people can attest to this. If Rickshaw taxi in Bangor Maine was the only mode of transportation left on earth, I and the people I hold dear would walk a million miles before entertaining the thought of contacting them again. read more

I never met a more rude and smart mouthed driver and I'm from New York. Every time my driver opened his mouth, it was like he was trying to start an argument with me. Wish my driver was replaced by a donkey instead, my ride would have been more enjoyable. I highly recommend using a different taxi service. read more

called at 1130am to set up a pick up at 130pm for a birthday party I was taking my two young daughters (age 5 and 2) she took my number and wrote down all the info. She asked if I had a car seat and she asked if I wanted a call when they arrived in driveway. So we are waiting outside it's now 140. I called to get an eta. She told me "to be honest I totally forgot" "I can be there in 7, or 8 Minutes and have you at the party on time." 2pm I call and it rings to voicemail, I called again and again. I just wanted to know if she was coming...to voicemail. She NEVER CAME, and lead me on until the time I had to be there. It was so devistating to my daughter. I just don't know what to say:( WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME? It meant so much to my daughter to go and you just didn't care at all. read more

This is a little overdue but still have to write a review all the same. I was forced to walk into town from Glenburn in the rain and did not have a lot of money so could not afford the whole way in. The taxi driver realized this and that I was trying to make to work on time so he brought me in the whole way and really saved the day for me. They are great especially if you get who I had as a driver. read more

I used this oddly-named taxi service a couple years ago to get home from the hospital. Though the driver had me sit in the front passenger seat beside him, he said nothing to me at all and when I asked him a casual question and even paid him a compliment on the unusual taxi name, all he did was grunt. This guy owned the taxi service, so you'd think he would do whatever he could to nurture future business. I was oddly relieved to get out of this cab and mostly to get away from him. I'm sure many other fares would find his attitude rude - even unsettling. read more

Rickshaw has the most poor service I've ever experienced in my life he tells me 10 they tell me 10 minutes and then they don't even show up leave me and my daughter sitting in the cold for over an hour ! I had a very positive experience with Rickshaw. I could not get a recommendation for a car service to take me from Belfast to Bangor airport, so I started calling at random. A few places I called seemed too expensive, but Rickshaw was a reasonable price. I like that they had a website with pix of their cars and other information. I took a chance, called them, and had a comfortable, pleasant ride to the airport. The driver (Blake) was punctual, friendly, and an excellent driver. read more
