For reference, I am the President of the BOD for a local condominium Association. After positive past dealings with H&Y I referred them to a member unit-owner to replace a wood courtyard enclosure with vinyl. They were prompt with their estimate and were selected out of three companies by the homeowner to perform the job. The job was completed but needed to be lowered slightly to match the height of others in the Association. Despite a delay caused by the hurricane, Jerry, the owner, saw to it that the adjustment was made to our specifications. Given the relative insignificance of this re-visit in comparison to the volume of fence work a hurricane can produce, H&Y kept their commitment and for that the homeowner and I were thoroughly impressed. It is not often these days that we witness this kind of integrity in business dealings so when we do we must recognize it. I would recommend H&Y for fence and enclosure jobs without reservation. - Gary B.

At the 7 week mark, I was curious because no one had called me with an update on my order. They said they would call in a couple of weeks once they had my install ready to schedule. Jason did call and schedule for the following week at 9am. There were some set-backs on install day, for I had been scheduled to be 9am and by 10am, no one had shown up or called. Having taken the morning off, I was upset when I ended up having to take the full day off and they didn't even arrive until after 2pm. The crew was very efficient, with Sergio heading the team. They worked for a couple of hours. Glad I was there, to review fence before they finalized or they would have installed the fence sloped to accommodate the yard. Fence should be even, dirt can be added to even the slope of the yard on the side of the house. The posts were corrected and fence install continued. Second day they came back and finished the job. Fence looks great and truly adds value to the house. I think the installation crew is top notch. The office staff really needs to improve on their communication skills with their customers. It's like they don't care about the customer but boy did they call right away to get paid. No one ever apologized for making me wait all day when I had been scheduled for a 9am install.

WARNING: DO NOT HIRE UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY OUT THE WINDOW. This was one of the worst…read morecompanies I have ever hired. I hired them to perform three jobs at my house; concrete crack repair and painting, entire exterior house painting, and replacing the soffits around my house. When speaking with Taylor, the owner, he promised me 4 professionals working, and that it would take one week to complete. I signed a contract which stated "supervised, professionals". The first day they started, two teenagers who had never worked a day in their life showed up without a supervisor. They began the concrete repair, and repaired the cracks incorrectly. They then began to paint the concrete without properly preparing the surface first. Less than a week later and the paint already started peeling. They never fully finished the concrete repair or painting. The rain delayed the work, which I understood, and during one of the rainy days, the two teenagers began to paint the underside of my carport. Again, they did not properly prepare the surface for paint, and painted over strips of peeling paint. The new paint essentially acted as glue, making it impossible to scrape the paint down in order to properly paint it. The owner decided that instead of spending the time to fix it, he would cover my entire carport with plywood. Less than a week after "completion" (the plywood was not treated first, it was not painted, and not all the seams were caulked), the plywood started to fall down because they didn't properly secure the plywood to the beams. Four weeks after they started this project, they had only half finished the concrete repair and paint, had put up the plywood which I had to hire someone else to fix, and repaired half the soffits without even cutting the wood to the proper size. As a 5' 3" female, it took me just one single day to paint the entire exterior of my house because I was tired of waiting for them to show up (most days they didn't, they had "more important" jobs than the one I contracted). The owner of the company blamed me and the weather for how everything worked out, refusing to take responsibility for the unfinished, unprofessional work that they did, and eventually they just stopped showing up. When I had to complete their work, I realized they either left my concrete paint out in the rain, or thinned it down, as the two additional 5 gallons of paint I provided them were essentially water. My entire concrete patio is peeling, has huge gouges in it from one of the teenagers not knowing how to work a powerwasher, and has extremely visible lines from the "crack repairs". Do not trust this company and keep them as far away from your home as possible.
