Two things. 1. My friend ordered a couple coffees and salad plus eggs for him and a friend. He was charged with two liver and onion meals. 2. I arrived at 1:30pm, placed my order for a burger and soup at 1:35pm; less than 10 people sitting within eyeshot. A group of 3 come in at 1:40pm, and place their order... which arrives to them at 1:55pm. I got up and walked out. My old waitress nowhere to be seen. I explained to the greeter that I had been waiting 20 minutes for a burger and soup, and the table arriving 5 minutes after I sat down was getting their breakfast meals before I even got a lick of food. The service is extremely slow and the food was mediocre at best. After waiting for 45 minutes for our food with our kids starting to get anxious, we asked if they could please check on our order and the response was that we had only been waiting for 45 minutes... after another 20 minutes the food started to trickle in. My onion soup had way too much salt so please avoid it. There were a number of errors with our order which we didn't even mention to the waitress because we didn't want to wait any further. Then the kids orders were supposed to include an ice cream sunday, when we asked the waitress for it she seemed bothered by the request. It took her another 20 minutes to bring my daughter's ice cream. When my daughter started crying and I finally got up to ask for the check and if they could please bring my daughter's ice cream (they still had not brought it) the waitress came to the table to say it was impolite of us to not be more patient. By this time we had been at the table trying to finish out meal for 1hr and 40 minutes. I asked the server if I could speak to the manager, she said she was the supervisor. So I asked her for her name and an office phone number, and she refused to tell me her name or a number where I could call. As a business owner myself, I would like to find out from my customers if they are being mistreated. Therefore I am leaving this thorough review to hopefully help the owner of this establishment. Went here last weekend as I had a coupon ... check the fine print as it's only Mon - Thurs.. service was good, I had the beef po'boy with farmer sausage soup (not cream) and my friend had the borscht. Boy was it ever yummy! Only critique is smaller carrots and less of them. Po'Boy was a bit dry so I wished I got the beef dip instead. My wife's ladies group arranged for a luncheon today with set menu. When they went to order they were told all orders were half orders because they were in their special room. This was not what they were led to believe when they arranged the luncheon. The coffee is ok...the Eggs Benny is ok...I wasn't a fan of their hollandaise sauce...and I like it when they toast the muffin a bit more for better texture! Searching for a breakfast place with some healthy options and stumbled upon this place before my workout. The store hours were great for the early birds and the prices were decent as well. I ordered the good morning breakfast and it turned out being pleasant. The egg white omelette was good and had a large variety of veggies mixed in. Me and my boyfriend decided to go for breakfast, we waited about 10 long minutes to be seated in a next to empty restaurant. Finally, a woman asked me for my name and phone number (due to covid) she spoke nonchalantly with a rude tone as if she'd rather be anywhere else in the world, also my boyfriend is black and I noticed the vibes were off right away as if we weren't welcome whatsoever. Finally we were seated by a frazzled gaunt waitress. I am writing this review as I am seated waiting for my order to be taken. I have been waiting a good 15 minutes. I have only received coffee and when my boyfriend asked her if they have white wine she widened her eyes and stood silent and rudely said "I'll be back with two pieces of ID" as she walked away. What the fuck? Anyways, me and my boyfriend just ordered Chardonnay and a corona beer, she very closely examined my boyfriends ID for a good 45 seconds, and she looked at my ID for like half a second!!!! I sense racism! I ordered the eggs Benedict and he ordered two by five. I will continue the review of the food once I've tasted it. Food came quickly and tasted good. You know... I really want to hate Rickey's. I want to hate it like I hate Kelsey and Boston Pizza... It is a chain, it is where the mini vans line up outside and families with wet headed kids fresh out of swim lessons come for lunch and dinner... but I can't do it... I like Ricky's. They make decent food. Their pride over their pizza is unbelievable, and rightly so... every bit of that pizza is made fresh from scratch on location. As a certified Montreal pizza snob, I can tell you it rocks. Their chili is good, but I like to sin hard and get the cornbread with it... seriously... never had better. This location is pretty busy, and I have heard tell that breakfast is amazing. We went to this Ricky's a few times and usually it's "just ok". However the last time we went it was about 5:30 and it closed at 7. Walking in the front smelled sour, like urine. We were seated and the smell lingered through the place. We were seated and the waitress was very nice. We ordered and waited...and waited....and waited. It took almost 30 minutes to get a wrap and a club sandwich. The sandwich came with tomatoes which I had requested to not be put on. The waitress took it back and brought the same one back to me less the tomatoes. On half of the sandwich was cut and the other half was left whole. My opinion, they are very very lazy. The worst service I have ever experienced. The sat us in the "Bar" area where other diners were, but forgot about us for 15 minutes. Twice, when a server came near our table we asked to be served and she said someone was coming. She then yelled to where the back "who's table is this?" Finally she was the one to come serve us. Seeing our level of frustration she said she would put a rush on the order. 32 minutes later, our eggs and wrap arrived. When we went to pay, the girl who can only be described as a floor manager/supervisor (the only one not wearing a uniform, went to where the tickets were being held and yelled back "what did you have?" She then pointed us to go back to the bar where she would send someone. 10 minutes later another girl arrived. EXTREMELY unprofessional, rude and all around bad service. If I was that floor manager I would be ashamed. I have spoken with other people who have been there and all agree it is the worst Ricky's location in the lower mainland. read more

My husband and I visited this location on Sunday last week. One of his all-time favorite restaurants is Ricky's All Day Grill, so we tend to head over there when we'd like to enjoy a good breakfast or lunch with a Caesar to drink from their "Liquid Brunch" weekend special for $4.25 each. We live quite far away from the majority of restaurants in the area, so when we will be leaving directly from home, we sometimes like to go to the Ricky's on Fraser Hwy in Langley because of its close proximity. It is an older style building but in the past we have always liked our waitresses and the food there is pretty good. For the last few times we have chosen this location, we have received absolutely terrible service. There have been no waitresses on staff to serve the customers. The only two people in the front end of the restaurant are the hostess and one man that calls himself the "manager". Unfortunately, this manager has decreased the sales of this location by quite a bit. According to him, 3:30 in the afternoon is an inappropriate time to order their drink special: Caesars. Instead of keeping his opinion to himself, he decided to loudly announce that we should order a caesar salad instead of the Caesar drinks that we came for. He requested our ID, which we gave to him. He then stated that Ricky's was not "a sleazy bar" and that he could not accept my husband's government issued card because he could not read the signature on the back. The card is not smudged or difficult to read in any way, and he uses it every day at various locations. After we finally gave up on our drinks, after the embarrassment of other patrons staring on at us because of the scene the manager had caused, we still decided to still place our order to avoid being late for our movie. We were then met with inappropriate comments about our order, making jokes about what we wanted and looking around at other customers like they were his audience. Needless to say, we told him we were no longer interested in ordering anything and left. It was the most uncomfortable situation I have ever been in at a restaurant. We will not be returning... and have also discussed this with many others who share the same opinion. read more

The experience I had today was atrocious! I sat down at 5:10pm and the waiter gave me a menu and said to let him know when I was ready to order. I waited for 20 minutes to see him again to let him know I was ready or for him to at least acknowledge me. But he did not. he was devoting his entire attention to whatever else he was doing in the back area and to a family with their 3 kids. I finally had to ask for another server. He didn't even bother to come and say sorry he got side tracked etc. I have been going to that particular Ricky's for the last 20+ years at least once a week. But I think my family and I will look for another restaurant. The last few times we have gone there we have had to wait so long to get the food after we order. Up to 1/2 hour + waits from the time we order. The last time the waitress was pissed to that it was taking so long. Said the cook was overwhelmed and was cooking 1 order at a time. It seems to have really gone down hill. The daytime staff are really great but that's the only redeeming factor of the whole place now. To bad. . . it was good once. read more
