Basic breakfast nothing great at all. The owner Chuck was a COMPLETE GROUCH and staring daggers at a family who had a baby and was making noise with the cutlery. He proceeded to say "I'm ready to take that cutlery from that KID!!" Then his wife proceeded to also glare also. Mind you the party was quite large and giving them a lot of business. Cute cafe with fast and friendly service! A plus...they serve breakfast all day!! My dad had a baked blueberry oatmeal that was delicious- loved the texture!! Nice and crunchy on the top and the toast that came with it was excellent. The fruit along with it is super fresh! My brother, boyfriend, and I opted for the lunch menu and had sandwiches. I had the chicken salad sandwich with a side of homemade potato salad. The sandwich I had was delicious but my only complaint was the bread was a little dry. Other than that everything was perfect and we finished our plates! The cafe is a little small and not a lot of air circulation. I would recommend sitting outside. read more

One of the few places we could find open early to get food for kids! Service was excellent, so up one star. The food was good. We had Country omelette, and standard breakfast consisting of eggs (very fresh tasting), bacon and toast. Side of fruit came wth watermelon which the kids fought over, but server was nice enough to cut up a new watermelon and offer the kids a few extra slices. Bless her heart!! read more

Worst. Breakfast. Ever. We were staying around the corner at the Harrison Hotsprings beach Hotel (a very good place by the way ) and were reccomended to Chuck and Kitty by the desk clerk. Apparently the place was known for great food and fast service. Well, that was lies and more lies. I have been a working chef for 25 years and I am here to tell you that if the chef there had been on my staff he would have been fired before noon. Have you ever had a breakfast that took so long to arrive that your coffee was stone cold? Well I did that morning. I kept looking around to see what the problem was. Was there a power failure? Did the chef break his arm? Did he forget to do his prep? The food itself, when it eventually arrived was mediocre at best. The potatoes (couldn't really call them hash BROWNS) were undercooked, over seasoned to cover up the improper cooking, and virtually inedible. The eggs had been cooked in a greasy pan then poured onto the plate, instead of lifting them out of the fat with a slotted spoon or spatula. The sausages, touted to be something special were less than that. Bigger than ordinary sausages, they were bready and bland. At leasty my dog enjoyed them later. They managed to get the toast right. I think that is because often it is the server who prepares the toast. I took a look into the kitchen and was shocked. First, there was a human back there doing the cooking. Judging from the results I had expected to see an old one armed three toed sloth doing the cooking. The chef was washing dishes while cooking. The cooking was being done on a RESIDENTIAL STOVETOP. I don't know how they even manage to stay in business. This restaurant was a travesty. Trust me on this one folks: go somewhere else for breakfast. Anywhere. Drive to the nearest McDonalds. Stay in your room and eat cold cerial. Start your diet that day. Sleep in until noon then go for lunch instead. There are plenty of good quality breakfast places in the area. Any one of them would be better than this unprofessional, unappetizing, poorly prepared food. Oh, the coffee was okay. So there's thast at least. read more

First food stop of our Harrison Hot Springs weekend trip. We chose this cafe over the other one in the main strip due to the fact it was packed! My earl grey tea was a poor quality leaf and my copilot's mocha was watery and too sweet. The highlight of our meal was the shrimp sandwich! So creamy and delicious on a great bread too! Mushroom soup watery- possibly a powdered soup. Carrots cake for dessert store bought. A place like this should definitely do their own baking. Maybe they just don't have the space (10 tables of various sizes and a small kitchen). Ambiance is lovely. County and cozy. Service was great! Come for the classic 60's tunes and shrimp sandwich to leave with a bounce in your step. read more

Service was good, but everything except the eggs was clearly pre-made frozen food that had been reheated. I had the pancakes, which were chewy and had an odd flavor, and bacon, which was clearly the pre-cooked and microwaved variety. My husband had eggs sunny-side-up, which he said were fine, toast, sausage, and hash browns. The potatoes were greasy and limp, and also seemed to be pre-made and reheated. Good, no-nonsense breakfast food, reasonably priced, served in a timely manner. After a miserable, expensive breakfast buffet at our hotel, we found this restaurant, obviously a place frequented by locals. Food was half the price and three times the quality of the hotel buffet. The staff there was very rude, we have 6 people, including 2 kids, we were asked to have to be sit in two different tables, although it fit since two highchair are needed, they don't say any thing just ask we eye be outside to wait, very rude, not friendly at all, not sure how the owner hired this rude staff. Ok I decided to check this place out again being that I went for a little Valentine weekend getaway. I thought I'd try the clubhouse again being that the chicken was roasted and it was made much better and tastier this time but the reason I'm adding an additional star is because of the awesome service from a really cool waiter named Ken. Popped in here for breakfast during our long weekend stay at Harrison Hot Springs. We had eggs benny in mind and they definitely delivered! One of the best I've had but I do wish they offered breakfast potatoes or hash browns as a side with the eggs. Service was relatively quick and friendly despite the fact that they were busy and that the cafe is quite small. Lunch looked good as well... Will make a trip back when I'm in Harrison again for sure. read more
