Christmas tree from Ricky's flower shop, in all it's natural beauty!

Another year, another GORGEOUS tree from Ricky's!Two years running trusted them to pick the perfect tree and deliver it. They even helped me screw it into the stand (by the door) so I could keep it standing upright until I could get it in position. One no-stress phone call and Christmas showed up to my door! Picture is before decorations so you can see it in it's natural beauty. Thank you Ricky's!!

My beautiful monstera deliciousa from Ricky's

This place is awesome! I tell all my plant friends about this place and they love it. The workers are always very helpful with parking and Ricky is great!! I had bought a terrarium glass globe and it broke the minute I got into the car after purchasing it. I was so sad all day about it, I called and ask if they were able to replace it the next day and he replaced it No question asked! It made my 30 minute drive there well worth it. THE PLANTS! So many great selections of indoor Houseplants. You won't be disappointed.

I love living a block away from Ricky's. From plants in the summahtime, to pumpkins in the fall, to being able to throw a Christmas tree over my shoulder in the wintertime, Ricky's pretty much has it all. They are a little pricey, but not too crazy (except for pots--those are exorbitant), and always proportional to how high-maintenance you are: e.g. at Christmas, if you want a tree that's cut, on a stand already, looking picturesque, you'll pay $45+ but if you're willing to sort through trees that have just been tossed together in a bin, you pay a flat rate of $29 or $39, depending on height and fullness. Note to shoppers: Do not wait to get a tree. They start selling around Thanksgiving, and they WILL sell out as Christmas week approaches. I waited until the 20th this year, and got the last decent tree on the lot. 6" tall and only $38 with tax! Ricky himself is a little bristly, but my family's from NYC, so his character is just what I like around the holidays. He even told me to come by and smell the trees anytime if I needed a quick dose of Christmas spirit. (It works, btw.) They also deliver trees to your door for a pretty small cost all things considered. Needed: bike parking.

Thankfully, they're back in a different area of the North End, still doing their thing of sustainable products. Maria (owner) & her staff + interns are amazingly friendly & helpful! There are probably eco-friendly things here you didn't even know you needed. It's great to be able to bring my empty glass jars or use theirs to get your refills. It's a simple & easy way to get whatever items you need, like body lotion, detergent, & other products. They also have an abundance of plants which is pretty cool. They even do a clothing swap & other events too, so you have to follow them to know when they're happening. The issue is that they're not always open when they're supposed to be which is unfortunate.

I've tried ordering eco products online before and it's been hit or miss. I'm happy to have found a place where I can see things in real life before buying them and make sure they are durable and sized correctly for my needs, even try a toothpaste tablet from the sample container, and talk to real life people who have tried the products so I can find out what makeup remover to use with the bamboo pads and whether shampoo and conditioner bars will have a different feel than the liquid stuff. More bonuses: they are walking distance from the orange line, they said I can bring back empty containers and buy refills, and their plant nursery section is nice. They are a bit pricey, as should be expected with ethically sourced products, not to mention storefronts that pay rent in the North End. Most of what I bought will hopefully last long enough to more than pay for itself. I'll be back!

Edit: I didn't know we could outright LIE about the interaction like the business owner has in the response. There was no line. My friend did not grab anyone Went with two different friends and both had same terrible experience. And I did not say a single bad word to the helper who was rude throughout. All I did was say "she wasn't being nice" when the owner said she was "NICE to have even taken my order". Rest is upto you guys, if you want to ruin your day and get terrible attitude, this is the place to go. Again, their insta has some beautiful arrangements, probably not for someone like us, even if we are willing to pay. Very bad experience. All I wanted was to help my friend get a nice customized bouquet for his wife. Shared inspiration pic. Asked for suggestions, was willing to pay whatever they suggested. Tried making small talk, complimented, tried to chit chat. They said something like the inspiration takes time to put together so come 3 hours later. 3 hours later when I went to pick it up, she literally put no thought in bouquet and put together something in 90 seconds in front of me. I had the audacity to complain to which things escalated quickly and she told me to "get out and never come back". Please go to a local wegmans if you're brown for more respect and choice of flowers. All you'll get here are cold stares and cold responses. Flower buying experience should not be this stressful.
