First-time escaper, here. The puzzles were more exciting than I had expected. I would definitely do this again, though I'd wait for a coupon. It was pricey for an hour. It would be helpful to know just a bit more about the accessibility of the room ahead of time- specifically, the challenge we chose was done entirely by dim light and flashlights, and I have horrible night vision. I would've chosen a different room had I known this detail. And run a vacuum around every couple of days. Authenticity only goes so far. In all: 4/5. Well done. read more

I would say a 4.5. Since most reviews are five star, it averages out. It wasn't a five for entertainment.....but more than a four. We did the middle difficulty room. Seven of us did it. Took us a full hour to escape.....so the challenge was nice. People were nice. Priced appropriately. Could have been cleaner.........since we are laying on the floor sometimes. Very friendly. The room that we did had a great theme. It took a few minutes to get going. Without getting too specific, the only complaint I had was having to unlock something UNDER a piece of furniture. I don't like dark rooms or having to climb through tunnels or work on my knees. Thankfully this was only one puzzle and the game master had to clue us, since we assumed some other action might cause it to open in a different manner. They could fix this one thing if they wanted too. read more

This was our first time at Riddler's Escape and we had a great time! We did the Pet Shop room, which is considered their easiest room. Awesome escape room and definitely still challenging. Our game master, Mel, was fantastic! She made the whole experience a great one. Next time I visit my parents, I'll be back! :) read more

Riddler's Escape Rooms - We made it out! - Escape Games Near Me - Oxford, Florida

This is a review of the Riddlers in Ocala, FL. We have been to many escape rooms in different states, as when we travel, we usually come upon one and try it out, so I can make some comparisons. We have tried two rooms at Riddlers, and we will not be back. Until Riddlers, we haven't had to lay down on anything to be able to find clues. In both rooms we tried, at one point, you must lay down on your back, which is kind of gross. One room was also a bit dark, and one of the locks was underneath something and almost impossible to manipulate. This one also seemed dirty when compared to the others. The people working there are nice, but parents of younger children, know that they are confused, which overshadows the entire experience. That being said, even the pet one which is the easiest one there now, I don't think kids under 12ish would be able to really figure anything out. If we want to go to one again, we will go to one in Bradenton, FL. It is about a 2 hour drive south, but if you plan it while going down toward Sarasota, you can make a day trip out of it. We tried a room there, and it was very clean and much better overall. The workers were normal and no one has to lay down to solve anything. That one is larger with five rooms instead of three like Riddlers. read more

I had such high hopes for great hour of riddles and laughs. It was quite the opposite! The clues or lack there of were lame, props super low budget, and dirty! I felt bad for the group going in after us! Total waste of $90, and an afternoon! Would not recommend this company and experience to anyone! read more

So much fun!!! My parents, my daughter and I have visited Clues Clocks and Keys twice now and we had a blast both times. I have done escape rooms in several large cities and Clues Clocks and Keys holds up to those. There were several locks I had not seen before and the puzzles were quite challenging. I came here on two evenings in January 2019 with a friend while visiting relatives in the area. It was only my second experience with an escape room and we had an absolute blast at Clues, Clocks and Keys. The rooms were smaller than that of my previous experience (in Ithaca, NY) but more than made up for it with their creativity, great mix of clever clues and red herrings, and puzzle mechanisms that I had never seen or imagined could work. The facility was clean and well appointed, and the staff friendly; they were attentive to giving additional help if needed, but only enough to encourage your experience, not to spoil it. On our first evening we did the NIGHTMARE room (rated 4 stars for difficulty). Although we considered ourselves somewhat savvy puzzlers, this was a rewarding yet complex room and we came close, but did not finish in time. What I especially appreciated was that at the end the staff took the time to help us see what we had missed so that we left enlightened rather than frustrated. This only made us eager for more ... and so we returned the next night for a slightly easier room, the CON-ARTIST (rated 3 stars for difficulty). There are also many clever stages in this room, but this time we had success and we were so proud! I would recommend the CON-ARTIST room as a great place to start for first-timers. We thoroughly enjoyed both rooms and our entire experience here. The escape room experience is an odd one because by definition you are entering into something that you don't know much about, but there is no reason to have any hesitation here - it is a first-rate escape room experience! read more

This was my first escape room that I have ever done and it was extremely fun yet challenging. The staff is well organized and will go e you great hints that will point you in the right direction. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to challange their brain. read more

Drove up from Boca to see family and figured let's try an escape room while we were up here. And it was a great choice!!! Not sure what to expect from a small town escape, but we were so surprised. The game play was fantastic and extremely fun. Just my daughter and I and it was more than enough to keep us busy laughing and having a great time. I cannot recommend this place enough. Owner and staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel welcomed from the moment we entered the door. Good job!!! read more

Had absolutely the BEST time here. Drove up from Miami to visit family and were looking for fun activities. Came across this and figured we'd give it a try. SO GLAD WE DID!!! The staff was awesome and the rooms were incredibly fun and challenging. Had such a great time on our first visit that we decided to go back and complete all 3 Escape Rooms. Can't say enough about this place, except to say that it's a CAN'T MISS. Call and schedule a room for yourself and your group, you'll be glad you did.
