Booked Limo service to ohare, I was told I would have a town car. Driver showed up 35 minutes late for pick up. Office said not a problem, You still have plenty of time. Have you ever driven the Tri-state on a Friday afternoon? She was driving a Toyota Rav4, not exactly a town car. Picked up in a Honda odyssey, again not a town car. As we were leaving the airport I noticed people flashing their lights at our driver. Later I found out why. As he entered 394 in a dark area, he realized he did not have his head lights on. The driver also while driving answered 2 phone calls, NOT HANDS FREE or work related. As a Safety director I know the hazards of distracted driving. The 2 unsafe issues in the 45 minute drive home sealed the deal for us. We will never use this glorified uber service again. Save your money. Hire someone who makes the safety of the passengers a #1 priority. read more

I contracted with Ride NWI to provide limo service for 9 people from St John, Indiana to Midway Airport on July 12th, with a return trip on July 24th. I asked for their 14-passenger transit van, to ensure our comfort and room for luggage. I spoke with Johnny, who told me it would be less expensive to use the 14-passenger limo, and that his company would send a chase car for luggage; I agreed. On July 12th, we did not get the 14-passenger limo as contracted, but instead received two, 8 passenger limos. One of the driver's stated that the 14-passenger limo was out of service. Our party had to separate to get to the airport, but since we did not receive any prior notification from Ride NWI of the change, we didn't have an option as we'd miss our flight. Both limos were extremely old, in poor condition, and clearly dirty inside with warm beer, wine, and water I'm assuming was left over from the night before. In spite of this, we did arrive at Midway on time for our flights. The trip home was much, much worse. We were picked up almost 30 minutes late in a single, 14 passenger limo. I asked the driver about a chase car, but he said they could not find a driver. This car was also in terrible condition, filthy inside, and clearly had not been cleaned out of warm beer, wine, water, and dirty glasses from the night before. With 9 suitcases, we had to line the suitcases along the floor of the limo, which meant none of us were seated safely. As we were driving down Cicero Avenue, a lot of black smoke was coming from the right rear of the car. We let the driver know, and he pulled over to stop. The right rear strut was leaking oil and causing smoke to come out of the back of the car. The driver did not communicate anything to us, but got back in the car, made a call on his cell phone, and then continued driving. As we got onto I94 south, the smoke coming out of the back was excessive, and cars passing us on the road were honking and with their windows down yelling that the car was on fire. The driver pulled over on the right shoulder of I94, looked at the strut again, and then again got on his cell phone. This time, he did speak to us, saying, "I think that I can get you home, and that will be a lot faster than getting another car here." I asked if it was safe, and where the gas tank was, and the driver said, "you're safe and that the gas tank was on the other side of the vehicle." We drove another 1-2 miles and got onto 394, when the smoke was so bad that the driver pulled over for a third time. He got out, checked the strut, made on a call on his phone, and then told us "We're gonna stay here. It's not safe to keep going." There was no shoulder where we were parked, so I asked him to please pull up the 1/3 mile to Glenwood Dyer Road so that were off the expressway and not a target to be rear-ended at speed. When we pulled off 394 and into an abandoned parking lot, the driver got out of the car and walked away from the limo on his cell phone. My family and I pulled all of our luggage out of the limo and trunk and sat waiting. The driver was on the phone for more than 15 minutes without saying anything to us. No, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, no plans for how we were going to get home, nothing. Frustrated and tired from long flights, we ordered two Uber XLs to get us home. As the Uber's arrived, the driver came over and said, what are you doing? The owner, Josh, told me we would get you cars to get you home. No idea how we would know that, but I told him we were done with any cars from Ride NWI and going home. I reached out to Ride NWI three days after our return trip, as I was shocked that no one had called me to apologize or offer to make it right. After several e-mails and texts, I finally got the owner, Josh, he had Johnny send me a text on July 26th saying they apologized and were issuing me a full refund. A week went by, and I had not received anything. I e-mailed them again and was told it could take 5-7 business days to process. This time, the owner, Josh, told me that if it was not in my account by Monday, August 5th, he would deliver me a business check refund. I contact them on Tuesday, August 6th, saying I had not received a refund as promised and asked if they could deliver a check. They have been completely non-responsive since the 6th of August. With no response, I filed a claim with my credit card company and will be pursuing legal action as well. This is the worst experience I've had with any business, ever, in my 47 years. If you are considering using Ride NWI for anything, I strongly urge you to reconsider. read more

We used Ride NWI for airport transfer from Schererville to O'Hare. It was only four of us but we received a huge limo 12-14person, no complain;) it was clean and stocked with Waters, craft beer, and pop. Nice addition! A/C, lights, radio all worked great and easy to control. Four stars only because the driver was over an hour late picking us up from our return flight. Our driver apologized and even called me in advance to let me know he was running late. I received a call as soon as I switched my airplane mode off so he was probably trying to call me as soon as he realized he would be late. Overall great service from the time I requested a quote to the time we were dropped off and great price. Will definitely use again for any limo needs. read more

While we really enjoyed your driver, we paid for limo service there and back and got an SUV both times. We were guaranteed to have limo transfer at least on the way home and when we arrived I had two drivers contact me saying they were there for pickup. One of the drivers told me to tell the other on that he was scheduled to have us. That was uncomfortable to be in the middle of. I did contact the owner hoping for him to make it right, or at least explain to me what happened, why I didn't get the services I paid for. I could have saved the 300.00 and had a family member take me and my family in our own SUV. It was meant to be a special ride with the family and it wasn't. Still have not heard from the owner and it's been almost a month. read more

We used this service for our business. The initial pick ups went well but the return airport trip, not so well. The driver was to be at the hotel at 12:30 to pick up the clients and didn't show up until 1:15. I was in contact with the office person and she told me he was getting off the highway coming down Calumet and would be there in a couple of minutes. 20 minutes later he still hadn't arrived. When he finally got there he couldn't figure out how to get all of the luggage in the trunk and looked like he just rolled out of bed. They didn't leave the parking lot until 1:30, an hour behind schedule. One of the clients missed his flight and we had to pick up the hotel charge on top of the late limo charge that was already paid. I once again called the office and the young lady agreed with me that the company (limo) should pick up the hotel charges. I have tried calling and emailing the owner and resorted to using someone else's cell phone due to the fact that now each time I call it goes to voice mail. Own up to your error and be a business owner. Not everything always goes perfect but when things do go wrong solve the problem, don't run from them. This review would have been totally different if the owner, Josh, would have done what a proper owner would do-solve your problems. read more

I ordered what I thought was a party bus for my husband's 40th birthday. I had been in communication with the company since June and never once did anyone correct me everytime I referred to the transportation as a party bus. So the day of the event arrives and I step outside to speak to the driver and i notice that this is not a damn party bus but a shuttle bus. Needless to say I was beyond pissed off. I had 10 passengers including myself and these ppl paid $30 a piece for this experience. So I had to calm myself before i addressed everyone about this mishap. They were a little pissed as well but we all decided it is what it is and we were going to try and make the best of it. Now once in the shuttle bus we had no room to move and they had no wifi or Bluetooth so we were subjected to listen to the radio. On a good note our first driver Eric was awesome but we had another driver that took us home (Danny). This $#!#$ was driving like his life was in jeopardy. He was flying on the eway and stopping literally inches a way from other cars. I had to tell him to slow down and that i didnt want to die tonight. But that went in one ear and out the other. The other passengers were also making comments and he didnt care. I want to call but i am still pissed off and I dont believe the conversation will go well..especially if they not talking about giving me at least half of my $550 back for misleading me to believe it was going to be a party bus and also the life or death ride home and no music and not room to party. Requested limo service to/from airport. I ordered and paid for in January so I would be early enough that it wouldn't get changed. This was for an anniversary trip with my wife. We were picked in an SUV (though it was a luxury SUV). Not awful but not what I requested. The driver was superb and got us there on time even though we ran late getting out of the house. On our return we were picked up in a sedan not by ride nwi but by some sort of airport transfer. They had too many bookings! It was a cramped space and very uncomfortable. I called sent an email requesting a cal back. Josh called me but I was unavailable. I returned his call and he said he was with someone but would call me back. I waited a week before calling again. Someone took a message and said he would call me back within 24 hours. This is now 2 weeks later and still no response. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is the first driver. RIDE NWI OWES ME A RETURN OF AT LEAST HALF!!!! read more

Used this service for my sons wedding in July. Needed a ride for my inlaws to Chicago for the wedding and back home to Indiana after. Setting up the service was easy even with rather complicated directions. The driver Dan was wonderful according to my inlaws. They decided to leave an hour earlier than originally set up and Dan was there promptly to get them home. Just knowing they were taken care of took a huge worry off of our shoulders. There were several stops and destinations for the day. Brian, our driver, started put the day prompt - early even- at 6:30 am. Please don't use this company, assuming you value someone actually showing up with a clean vehicle and properly trained driver. The owners truly only care about taking your money. Any problems you have with their lousy service is no longer their problem as long as you've paid in full. Our driver showed up 15 minutes late for an airport run. The limo seats were wet because he admittedly just finished cleaning vomit from the night before. It reeked of puke, smoke, and cleaning solutions, and the driver smelled like an ashtray. There was trash littered throughout. One door was nonfunctional. The radio was nonfunctional. On the return trip, the driver didn't have directions to my house, a GPS system, or a smartphone. I was literally giving him turn-by-turn directions after a long travel day when I was hoping to relax. I've called the company countless times over the course of a full month. The owner refuses to return my call, and they refuse to reimburse me anything. This is a dysfunctional company that does not deserve to serve our Region. read more

Pick up to the airport was perfect. That's worth TWO stars. On time, and a comfortable ride in an awesome limo. ( I surprised my husband) The surprise was on us on the way home... After a 45 minute wait for a PRE PAID ride home from Midway, I called the office number a second time, and someone answered. I was so relieved to hear a voice thinking, " great! they will apologize and send someone right away." Nope. The guy blamed ME! Then he blamed my phone! Saying the driver has been waiting ON US!!! What? I thought I was on candid camera. How can I call the driver when I don't know who he is! I did leave a message at the office while I was still out of the country checking to make sure the driver would be there late that evening. Rachel left a message on my phone (clearly, working just fine) while we were in the air. She specifically said that the driver would watch the flight for early or late arrivals AND he would text or call with his number to say he was at the airport waiting area, and then we can contact him after getting our luggage. NO CALL NO TEXT. But somehow that's my fault. For the record, I emailed them directly to voice my disappointment in the service. No response. I'd like to end on a positive note- NWI was also the transportation to and from my wedding venue. We hired them to supply a 14 passenger bus to shuttle guests back & forth. It went beautifully. We recently used Ride-NWI for a wine tasting trip in the Baroda, MI area. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the 8 passenger Towncar was, in fact probably the nicest limo we have been in. The technology inside the vehicle was very modern, with multiple sources to connect your smart phones for music. The limo also had built in wifi. The driver, Brian, did a great job of mapping out the stops and keeping us on schedule. I would highly recommend using Ride-NWI for limo services. read more
