The last and most important flaw of these bikes are their tires. Why sell these cheaply made fat-tires on higher end frames in Santa Cruz, which is well known for its inconsistent roadwork and sloppy construction workers leaving screws everywhere? They don't have a ton of inventory, but if it comes from Honda, these guys can get it for you. They also can get stuff through the typical distribution channels that supply all the other shops. I just wish Honda made a bike I like, but thats another story. For now I use Cycle Stop for ALL of my moto needs, Honda or not. We're getting a Trail 125 for the wife this year and Mike will be the only guy I'd get it from. My only issue with them, is that I always plan to stop in for some Motul800 and wind up talking to them for an hour. That gets me in more trouble than the spending.

Nini at the front desk was absolutely perfect for the job imo: compassionate, reassuring, and exactly what a first-timer needs before throwing a leg over a bike for the first time for real. Freddie and Henry were great too, really easy dudes to talk to and very helpful with sharing tips and other pointers for me. I'll be honest, I dropped the bike an equal number of times on both sides over the weekend, all at zero mph (embarassing af). Symmetrically bruised ego, perfectly balanced. Returning it felt intimidating, but the whole team handled it with zero judgment and genuine professionalism. I didn't try to hide anything and they made the whole process painless, albeit with some monetary penalties caused by my inexperience (I own up to this though). I'm leaving with my wallet lighter but with my heart genuinely fuller for the experience. The environment this shop creates for nervous beginners like me is genuinely rare, and it made me feel supported and motivated to come back and do better next time. Will absolutely be back for my next rental and keep getting ride time in, because real experience gained like I did is priceless.
