saw a bike of theirs for sale on craigslist. called to discuss it and was told the bike was sold. 2 days later it was still listed on CL. i called and asked if , by chance, the sale had fallen through and they still had it? no, it was sold. I asked why it was still posted on CL if it was sold ( now for several days) and no apology was offered, just "oh, I'll tell so-and-so to take it down" this game has continued for another 10 days! very annoying and sketchy. I assume this is a deceitful ploy to get people to call to be subjected to hi-pressure sales efforts on other bikes. I wont be calling them ever again read more

Just bought a set of Michelin GP2 tires. Good service they changed them in 40 minutes. Only reason for the 3 score is the tires are 2022 week 48 i.e. nearly 2 1/2 years old! no dicount was given. recommend you check the DOT date on any tires you buy as they could be old stock. read more

I've used them for motorcycle repair (on two different bikes), parts, and they do gear, equipment and bike sales (including consignments). I've known them for years. Some specifics: The manager of the business, Doug, is a consummate professional. He's efficient, good-natured and has great interpersonal skills; he's knowledgeable, experienced, trustworthy and he is a problem solver. For that matter, all of the people there have been great to work with. Communication is outstanding. Doug and the staff handle the phones like no other shop (motorcycle, boat, or car) that I have seen. Calls are answered and discussion is always efficient and helpful. In-person communication has always been excellent. Flexibility and problem solving: My motorcycles are restored classics. I've found that the shop is great at responding to a variety of jobs and coming up with solutions. Engine cooling flush, carburetor diagnosis, tires, brakes, bearings, accessory installation have all been smooth and well done, and the work has always been completed on time. Pricing has been good -- better than most, and by better, I mean lower. Great location: On El Camino, in the middle of the South Bay. I bought a motorcycle online and was called like 40 minutes later saying you can't even buy a motorcycle online and that they had already sold it to someone else. A bike that was still labeled for sale when I bought it and sold after they charged me online which I reiterate, they say they don't do. I have receipts to prove otherwise. Basically I think they thought I was a thief or scammer and didn't want to sell to me. I think they are incompetent if it was sold and not removed from the website. These people suck and stay away or buy from them and maybe actually get what they say. No skin off my back. Just wanted to warn people. Also if your website allows you to buy a motorcycle you apparently say you can't on the online site then get a new website builder because basic interface wouldn't allow you. read more

Great local mom and pop shop for pretty much all your bike needs. I've been coming here since having my first bike back 2007 for tires and miscellaneous items. They have some good deals on new sets of tires usually and free mount and balancing of the tire when you bring in the wheels off the bike. A couple things, a while back i needed the rear tire rebalanced, but it was on the bike, so they gave me the option of this leveling liquid to save on the labor of removing the wheel etc. I think this is probably a good option for cruiser bikes that don't go too fast. It worked but if you go over 100mph often like for track days, just get the wheel proper balanced. Recently I had a low speed lowside on my gsxr up on la honda, gets wet on some of them turns. It bent the rear brake lever backwards and bent the right frame slider attachment bolt. I couldn't get the bolt off myself, so took my bike here with the parts and they drilled out the bad bolt and installed a new one, just excellent work and service. The owner is a cool ass guy as well, still rides and can recommend some local roads. Highly recommend this shop, honest and solid craftsmanship. read more

I got a screw in my rear tire the day before I came in (Friday). I came to the shop early (8:45am) Saturday morning. And to my surprise they were almost open and getting set up. I brought my wheel In and ask if they could plug it. They couldn't. So I had to buy a new one. Which they had the exact tire I needed in stock. On my first review, I spoke on their gear alone but, SCC is so much more than that, which I understand, now that I have a motorcycle of my own. I'm so glad I can update and increase a star now that I know the business better. It's a great father-son business and you can tell they love their work. *quick tip - there's a parking lot in the back of the store, just turn on Poplar and then right into the lot - don't park by the glass store* Where should I start? Lately, I've been going to various bike shops around the area and comparing service, price and gear... and SCC keeps coming out on top. Gear: While SCC is a smaller shop, they offer both street and dirt gear as well as some parts, tires, helmets, and other accessories such as saddle bags. Compared to other bigger stores, they're a lil limited on their gear selection but they'll happily order anything you want, for a great competitive price. And, it seems they've hand-picked what they like and trust... so I'd trust their gear/recommendation as well. Customer Care: Can't beat these guys, especially once they get to know you a lil. They talk to you and explain what you need, why you need it and what your options are. For beginners like me, they'll even explain things thoroughly if they have a minute... if you're interested and have the time. Service: Here's where they really excel - my bike is running so much better and safer than she was when I first got her - thanks Doug, Greg, Eric and Rick! Also, at each shop I've stopped at lately, I've done some general browsing and gotten an idea on what the total charge *part and labor* would be to order a specific part and install it. Well, SCC was best by far. Other places quoted prices that was up to 2x more than SCC was. I don't know if that's cause they could tell I was new or if that was their prices but either way... no bueno. The the part and labor was less $$ at SCC. :) So far, they've fixed my motorcycle up with new tires, breaks, a rear break cable, and some loose gaskets and bolts. Everything is great. They also help people sell their bikes - I'm lusting after a beautiful Honda Shadow that's out front right now... *sigh* I'm so glad they're close to my house! Definitely see ya there! read more

I'm not the type who leaves reviews unless I feel very strongly about something. I brought my bike in because there was scratching sound coming from the rear after my mountain ride and they diagnosed it as, missing pin. Sure. Since the bike was already on the lift, I asked to check my front brakes because they were making mild noise as well. I picked up my bike after being told that it was fully serviced and quarter mile out, I see a red light so I tried to come to a stop but my front brake wasn't working. I looked down and realized that my whole front brake is dangling.... Yes, I was pissed off but what really got me is how they felt with the situation. As I was talking with the owner, his disregard to his mechanic's poor job, gave me the attitude and told me verbatim, 'what else do you want me to do about it?' Complete shit service, shit mechanics and shit oem parts too. In return for their mistake, they offered to replace 2 missing screws on my engine cover: first of all, they do not match and I'm pretty certain they found couple bolts in their drawer and put them on.... read more
