They said they balanced it but when I checked each rim, there were no weights installed and I took it to my mechanic down the street to confirm if they did or didnt do the balancing and my mechanic confirmed all they did is rotate the rears to the front and front to the rears, my tire pressure is supposed to be 35psi in the front and 41 in the rear and the way I found them is 41 in front and 37 in rear but when I brought it to them it was 37psi front and 41 in the rear. As part of a rotation and rebalancing, they were supposed to readjust my tire psi to the pressure according to the vin spot.

I called and set up an appointment with their AI receptionist. The first time I've done such a thing and it was surprisingly easy. I showed up in person and went over the problem. They checked the tire pressure, filled air in the rear tire. They tested the tires, found no leak, and I was able to go on my way after only $25. No hard upsells, just straight forward service. I only lost an hour and a half of vacation time and was able to join the family at the pool. Incredibly thankful for the team here.

I had a flat…read moretire at 4:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and had first planned to go to Big O tires on Soquel street as they were closer to my location but I got there with the tow truck, they were already closed despite having called them, confirmed with them that they had the tire I needed and that we were on our way to them yo have it fixed! Trying to find a plan B I called Lloyds who first told me that all their technicians had already go home but the gentleman who answered my call still went to check to see if he could get someone to take care of my car. He did find someone and took care of my flat tire as soon as I got to them less than ten minutes later. They were open to waiting a few minutes and thus got my business and my gratitude as I would have had to stay in Santa Cruz overnight otherwise. They earn an extra $300 which I was happy to give to them. Hard work should be rewarded. Big O Tires was the biggest loser.

Here's how my weekend went with Lloyd's tires... I called in and scheduled an appointment for Friday afternoon at 6 PM. They told me my appointment was scheduled and I should go to the Capitola Road storefront. I cut through the beginning of weekend traffic and arrived on time, but the woman at the counter said "oh you must've talked to the call center, we don't do alignments here. There's no way they'll get you an appointment downtown day of either..." So I called again and got connected to the call center, and asked to speak to the actual River Street store where they do alignments. I talked to someone at the River Street location named James and he told me my appointment was rescheduled for Sunday at 8 AM. I woke up early on Sunday to get over to my appointment by 8 AM only to find that the store doesn't open until 9 AM. When I went back at 9 I asked the only person I could find on site if they were able to do my alignment today he said "I'm still opening. I'll be able to answer your question when my workers get here." I just needed a quick yes or no as my ride was also waiting for me. He told me the problem was with the call center--but this time around I had actually talked to James at the river street location... Never again will I attempt to work with Lloyd's tire--they shouldn't even be able to keep the name, they are nothing like the local dependable business Lloyd's was.

Before turning the car back over to me he went over everything that had been done and pointed out the parts that had been replaced. He also went over what maintenance I could expect to see as I put more miles on the vehicle and gave me a rough idea of what it would cost. They fixed all the stuff I had noted wrong but also did a thorough top to bottom inspection of the vehicle and fixed many things that I had not noticed, including things that would have been an issue for smog! Tyler was also very good about keeping cost in mind and offered multiple different brands for various parts to keep the cost within budget. For the important parts such as engine seals and gaskets he only used Toyota OEM to prevent future issues. Over all I will absolutely be coming back when more work is needed, thank you Almar Auto!
