We did a 3 hour e-bike rental, which in my opinion is the best amount of time to enjoy the area and stop a few times along the way. They provided helmets and bike locks. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bikes were in great condition, fully charged, and very comfortable to ride around. The location is ideal as it is steps from the green belt which is a beautiful and easy ride. We stopped by old town for some coffee before making our ride back to the shop. The price for a 3 hour rental was very reasonable, especially for the quality of bikes we were given. I would highly recommend making an afternoon out of this! read more

My wife and I had done an electric assisted bike before, and we wanted to bike on the Scottsdale bike path, a 22-mile paved path that goes from Tempe town lake to North Scottsdale. So we rented two electric bikes (~$100 for 2 hours). The last time we rented, we got 10-speed bikes with thin tires and it felt unstable to my wife. Today we got wide tires--fatter than your typical mountain bike--and it felt really good to her. For beginners like us, this was perfect for exploring the bike path. If I could give a negative rating, I would. Stay far away. We came in to purchase a specific model of electric bike, but the staff strongly pushed us to buy a different model, claiming it was better. On top of that, they convinced us to buy two bikes, saying the second one was "half off." But when it came time to pay, the price of the first bike mysteriously jumped by $400. We ended up paying way more than expected. Then came the upsells: they pressured us into paying extra for "slime" in the tires to prevent flats. Later, we got a flat--and discovered no slime was installed at all, even though we were charged for it. When we went in for the flat repair, we were quoted a price. But at pick-up, the price suddenly increased due to "labor" that was never mentioned beforehand. Three months after buying the bikes, they told us the tires needed to be completely replaced (?!), charged us an outrageous amount, and when we picked up the bike, it didn't work at all--the electrical cable was disconnected and wouldn't stay in place. This happened right after they serviced the tires. We told them this wasn't an issue before the tire replacement (we even rode the bike to them!), but they denied any responsibility and had the audacity to offer a $480 repair. The bike has been out of use ever since. They told us to contact the bike manufacturer (Mavric), but Mavric doesn't respond to calls or emails. Ride & Motion, who sell and distribute these bikes, completely shrugged off responsibility. Meanwhile, our second bike also got a flat, even though it was supposedly treated with slime (again--it wasn't). Once more, we called, were quoted a price that included labor, confirmed it twice, and still were charged more when we came to pick it up. Apparently, a patch and some glue costs $30+? A flat tire for a bike should not cost three times what it costs for a car. To top it off, when we tried to bring the second bike in for service (called at 4:20pm on a Friday--the shop closes at 5), we were told they were "too busy" to accept it. What kind of service is that? Bottom line: Deceptive pricing Constant upselling Poor communication No accountability Terrible post-sale support If you value your money and sanity -- go elsewhere. read more

We purchased a super from them in 2024 with much resistance as the sales guy stated we fix them and any issues it will be much easier to go thru us. They put together the bike and have had things fall off such as pedal, battery and brake. Every single time we take it to be fixed they mess it up more. We also have a mavrix and the same thing. They make excuses and the bike sits there for weeks. They now claim they have no relationship with super and so unhelpful on fixing the issue they created!!!!!! read more

This store has the coolest bike and the friendliest most helpful guy working there. I was in cross country running for many years with no issues, but my knees do not like bicycles. Electric? Now we are talking. Phat is right! The tires here are huge! They have bikes to rent and purchase! I found the coolest golf casdy bike and my personal favorite that has a place for both girls to sit on the back. You still pedal the bike, but it takes away a lot of the tension making them much easier on the knees. They give you a 1 year warranty with thr purchase of the bike. From there you can purchase annual insurance for maintenance etc. The department stores don't offer that. Definately worth checking out. read more

This is a cute little bike shop, right on the park path. Try the Rad foldable... (we couldn't as they were unavailable). We sampled the foldable when we got back. I found it more comfortable than the City Rad I rode as I prefer an upright beach cruiser style. I found the seat - pedal position uncomfortable enough that I came back early - no refund (no bike baskets available for your purse ladies so leave it in the car or at home). Susan also said we'd be upcharged if 5 minutes late (it was a slow Thursday late afternoon, too). I was happy to ride back home on the pedal assist, orange, Jump Uber bikes we rented before stopping in to check out the Rads. The Jump/Uber bikes are just $9 an hour but are only available in cooler months. We rented Pedigos a few weeks before - $29 for two hours and more comfortable for me. Phat Rides is almost twice as much. 3 stars for a great location and new bikes; -2 for price, no baskets, no flexibility on time and comfort level. read more

We had such an awesome time. Easy to rent, easy to ride! We rented a fat tire electric bike and a fat tire folding electric bike, both were a lot of fun! There are a lot of trails, canals, and green belt to ride and being a fat tire bike we felt solid on all terrain. This is definitely something I would recommend for all ages and all physical conditions. With the electric assist you don't have to be in shape to ride. Did almost a 10 mile ride today and haven't ridden a bike in about 6 months and I am no way in shape to do 1 mile without the electric assist. Great way to see the city. Bikes are fabulous- we recommend our electric bikes to all of our friends. Living in bike-friendly Scottsdale, we explore every weekend across the green belt and beyond. After spending $5K on two bikes, we had high expectations of future customer service. The bike parts are guaranteed for a year after purchase so that when there's an issue, (and there has been two) they "should" have parts on hand to repair. Unfortunately we found ourselves waiting for a month for simple brake pads (they never did receive the part and they took them off a bike on their sales floor to appease us) and now we are at two weeks and counting for a defective tail light issue. We were assured that both of these issues are common with the Rook series. If they're common problems.... WHY would you not keep parts on hand at your store???? Such a great product, but such a frustrating business to work with. read more

Stop at this place right off Indian bend wash. My 12 year daughter bike the handle bar need tighten. Back door was open walked in kid was working on bikes. I asked him if he could tighten my daughter handle bars. Its one bolt he said yea brought the bike in. Older guy and lady ran to back said can i help you. I said yeah can you tighten my daughters handle bars. He said well that will be 40 bucks rudely. I said to tighten 1 bolt. He said yea. I said okay forget it.
