CycleBar, I love you. I come from California but i am moving to Nampa in a year. I wanted to check out this location and it was HUGE. Much bigger than the San Francisco,Bay Area locations. My instructor was Elysse. She was very energetic, welcoming and AMAZINGLY sweet. The front desk attendant was also very welcoming, sweet & informative. She made sure to give me a quick tour upon arrival. I was able to find my locker quickly and there was a little gift left for me. I love these kind gestures! Also, after class as I was grabbing my things to go, another fellow instructor came out and introduced herself to me. She was welcoming me to this location and I thought it was very kind of her to do that. Everyone here is just NICE! Thank you ladies! I'm from out of town and recently stopped in on a girl's trip with a few of my friends. Booking online was easy as a new drop in and the location is pretty central in town. We were welcomed with open arms and the studio was nice and clean. Every touch point we had with an employee was great and the staff are all very friendly and helpful with explaining how their studio operates. The class itself and the instructor were good and it was a great ride for all of us at different skill levels. If I'm back in town, I'd love to stop by again. Though I have cyclebar locations in my hometown, this was my first experience with this studio, so I'd have to assume it's consistent with other locations. If it wasn't so far from my home, I'd consider going to my local locations based off this experience. read more

The best way to describe CycleBar is that it is like the "fine dining" of workouts. You pay a good chunk of change for it, but it is absolutely worth it for what you get. I was blown away by the organization, energy, professionalism, and excellence that this establishment brought to the table. I came here with a group of 20 girlfriends for a bachelorette party (we dressed up in 80's attire...because, why not make your best friend's bachelorette party themed?!). We weren't able to book a class all to ourselves for the day we had the party planned, so we joined in for one of their Thursday evening classes (they had a live DJ!!). There were about 40 people in the class altogether, yet CycleBar managed to get our group all clumped together in the room. I think that's what impressed me most about their studio, they go above and beyond with the little details: - Upon arrival, the owner walked me around and showed me where everything was located. - Each girl was given a CycleBar water bottle with their name on it (and a $25 credit that could be used to purchase classes/one of their packages). - They even put a "Very Important Pedaler" on the front and center bike for the bride. - They don't assume you know what you're doing (which is so nice for newbie cyclers!), their staff walked around the room and helped each person get their bike adjusted for the most comfortable ride. Now all of that is just the first impression...then the class starts. SO MUCH FUN. Genuinely! You know you're having an awesome workout when you forget that you are working out yet there is a pile of sweat at your feet. The whole thing is one big experiential production--from the music they play, to the lighting in the room, and the biking sequences that go along with the music. Our instructor was Eryn, and she was (not exaggerating in the slightest) probably the best workout instructor I've ever had for any kind of fitness class. Her energy was contagious and so motivating. If you are dropping in for a class, try out hers, you will have a blast (and an awesome workout at the same time)! Overall: absolutely amazing! I would totally hop on board for a monthly membership if 1) It wasn't all the way in Meridian and 2) The cost wasn't so high. Let me start by saying, I have been teaching (in NJ) for 7 years. So i have kind of a high bar when I take classes... I was visiting for the weekend to 'explore Boise' for a potential relocation... I took class on Cinco with a duo-taught class (first time for that) and a DJ (also first time, but always a dream of mine to teach to a DJ). These ladies were on point! They vibed together great, the instruction was clear, structure was smooth, changes were to the music, and the ride was challenging the entire way. I, personally, am not a fan of push ups and weights and screens (aka giant distractions) or any other weird things while on a bike. The screens were off. The other weird (to me) stuff did not over take the spin element. And everything was pretty amazing, the energy in the room was lit, and I cant wait to go back and take another class. (Side note: I took another class, at another spin studio, the day before and I wanted to leave within the first 2 or 3 songs. HUGE difference.) I didn't think I was going to like the whole chain/putting-on-a-show type of studio but I'm definitely in love. read more

I am into trying new workout options and not fads. Cyclebar opened in Meridian at the Village last week and their first two weeks open all rides were free, so I figured I would give it a go. I didn't know what to expect but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by JP, who was super pleasant and welcomed me with a handshake and concierge service as if I were a VIP. He walked me through the check in process, where everything was and even showed me how to properly clip into my bike so I was set for an awesome class. Cyclebar is an experience and worth every penny I plan on spending here in the future. They provide towels, water bottles, shoes, fruit for before and after and the energy levels of the instructors is top notch. I entered an auditorium with 48 bikes. The instructor was Gonzalo and his energy was through the roof. He cheered everyone on and motivated through smiles, stellar music and a light show to reflect the mood. His story telling abilities allows you to visualize actually riding somewhere other than there to truly push through it. I walked out feeling rejuvenated, motivated and my metabolism on fire! I was dripping sweat and was greeted with a cool lavender towel to refresh before leaving. I didn't walk away tired, I walked away ready for more and CANNOT wait to go back! read more

I am new to spin and was worried about being packed into a room of experienced cyclists, techno music, and judgy eyes lol. I was definitely hesitant to take the class however, like most challenges I took the bull by the horns. This place is awesome, upscale, modern, clean, well staffed, and grounded in delivering and exceptional workout experience. Upon meeting my friend outside before class entered and were greeted by a very nice woman who directed us to several touch screen monitors that allowed us to "check in", and also gave us our bike numbers and a layout of the cycling room we would be in. After that we were shown where the restrooms, showers, and lockers were located. All of which is white and modern. Very very clean with upscale products from shampoo to moisturizer, all free as part of your ride. The woman then helped us select out spin shoes which clip into the pedals on the bike. Sure enough they had my size 14 wide (I am 6'6") and I was not looking forward to cramming into a 12 or something small. She showered us how to properly fit the shoes and then offered us a free BPA free Cyclebar water bottle and asked if we preferred chilled, or room temperature water. At this point I was already super impressed. We were then guided to the spin room, shown where our bikes were and the young woman assisted us in clipping our shoes into the pedals on our bikes. She gave brief but precise instruction on the digital equipment on the bike and adjusted everything from seat height to resistance for us. Then the class begin to fill up and our instructor Gonzalo pepped us up with some great music and class started. It was such an intense but totally doable ride for anyone of any fitness level. The instructor made it clear that if we felt we were pushing too hard (or might injure ourselves) to take it easy and focus on ourselves, our bodies, and not what everyone else around us was doing. The instructor was so encouraging and fun, you could feel good vibes coming from him and it was clear he loves what he does. His positive attitude was infectious and very fun. It was an amazing workout. Afterwards we were offered cooling wipes to clean our bikes and then damp, rolled, lavender scented towels to wipe our faces or hands with, and then, a glass of champagne in honor of the instructors last class. I was told on Wednesdays that beer and wine are offered in the gorgeous lobby post ride as part of Cyclebars wine down Wednesday. If I could give this place 50 stars I would. I was wow'd by every single amenity and piece of the whole experience. Some may balk at the single class rate but if you purchase a package, and given the level of the experience it is WELL WORTH it. I want to first start off by saying how much I loved CycleBar. I had almost been riding at this studio for a year, and it was always the highlight of my week. Within the last 2 months I had signed up for my weekly class, and two times upon arrival found out the instructor I had signed up for couldn't make it. The substitute teacher was the same both times, and my experience was really unenjoyable. It was hard to understand what he was saying, I didn't know when to add / release gear, and the choreography was difficult to follow. I never had these issues with any of the other instructors in my time attending classes here. I felt very upset after leaving my most recent class with this instructor, and wanted to reach out to the studio to see if I could have my ride credited since it wasn't who I signed up for, or the experience I was hoping to have. I then sent an email to the studio explaining the situation and explaining my understanding that life happens and sometimes the instructor we sign up for cannot attend class. I then received a phone call from the owner explaining to me that my complaint was about her husband, who co owns the studio. She then informed me my "negative energy" doesn't belong in their studio and therefore canceled my membership allowing me to never come back. I was shocked that a business owner would remove a client who was providing honest feedback about an instructor. I also was disappointed to see this happen when I thought so highly of this studio, and referred so many people to go and try it out. I am not sure why there is a feedback form at the end of each class, if the owners are not willing to accept even the slightest bit of negative feedback. read more

The environment is very positive and supportive of people with all types of experiences and fitness goals. The negatives are that there are limited class times because demand is not high. The shoes insoles are worn so badly that the pressure on the pedals with thin insoles created corns on the pressure points on my foot. Also, if you are not feeling well, get caught in traffic or delayed at work, you get penalized $25.00 on top of the hefty monthly fees. Do your homework and find a place where you will be supported, where there are classes available at times that work for you and don't use their shoes. They are often wet following another class because well, someone sweated in them. read more

A friend and I popped into the free intro class on Saturday morning. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by Kelsie and guided to the iPads along the wall to quickly check in, then Kelsie gave us a quick tour of the showers, and main locker area. We were both very impressed by the layout and great customer service. For those who may not know: -There are lockers for your valuables -As mentioned, there are showers with all of your basic needs, shampoo, conditioner, etc -They do provide cycle shoes that allow you to properly clip into the pedals, however they do sanitize them after each use -Towels to wipe your sweat (because trust me, you will break a sweat) are also provided along with water and water bottles if you happen to have forgotten yours Cyclebar also runs various happy hour and wine Wednesday classes which sounded like a great girlfriends night out or date night if you want to change it up....talk about taking the "wine workout" to a whole new level. Before the intro class was even half way over I knew I'd be buying a package of rides. They have some great offers for First time riders, with the best offer being $99 for 10 rides ($10/ride). I will admit the rides become quite a bit more expensive after that, a single ride will set you back $23 but if you buy a package that's where you can save. The standard ride packages can also be shared within the same household, an added bonus. I look forward to my next ride, time to get my butt in gear. read more

Watch out for their subscription system! Very easy to sign in and expensive and cumbersome to cancel. I was on vacation in Boise and bought 4 classes for $ 59 dollars. It ended up costing me $ 177 dollars as they had an autorenewal clause and when I tried to cancel they told me that I had to give 30 days notice. Ended having to pay 3 months instead of 1. Also consider that it is easy to sign up in their website but not to cancel. You have to call and write an email too cancel. Plenty of Spinning Studios that offer a similar experience without the billing hustle! Don't recommend it and be aware of all their not consumer friendly policies. read more

CycleBar at The Village is an incredible experience. I've been going consistently since February and have loved every ride. Having never done spin before I was REALLY nervous about going, or being able to keep up with the class. I don't really like 'group' workouts, but the environment in the studio couldn't be more amazing. With the lights low you feel like you are doing a private ride, but set to incredible music and challenging ride. All of the instructors bring their ENERGY to each ride, and push you to grow and challenge yourself each time. The community that exists within CycleBar is another reason I keep going back every week. Everyone has their own reasons and challenges for being there, and it creates an amazing sense of teamwork and togetherness knowing you are pushing through the same hard ride with everyone else. The entire staff works hard to learn riders names and help everyone out so you always have a great ride. I love the tech behind CycleBar as well. The playlists from every class is available to download right after the ride (And if you have a favorite song mention it to an instructor and you will almost be sure to hear it in a future class!). I love that the bike tracks your progress, and that as soon as the ride is over you have all of your stats from the ride. If you've been on the fence about trying, just try! I never thought I would like spin, and it has become my sanctuary (mostly my time of peace away from 3 young kids lol). Thanks my CycleBar family! read more

Cycle Bar has seriously changed my life for the better. I have always struggled with my weight and constantly fluctuate as I loose interest in different exercise plans. Since I have started my unlimited plan with Cycle Bar almost a year ago now, I have shown no signs of slowing down and have been in the best shape of my life.
