It's been quite awhile since my wife and I have gone out to watch a movie. It was getting too expensive so we stopped going. I saw an advertisement that Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu had been released so we decided to go watch this movie at the Ridge Cinema. This review isn't really about the Ridge Cinema in Pea Ridge Florida, as much as it is about movie theaters in general. The theater was clean. Service was good. I didn't really care for the movie, but that certainly wasn't the theaters fault. I watch YouTube videos. I listen to movie actors, directors, writers, etc... talking about the fact that people just don't go out to watch movies any more, that they just don't understand why, and that they wish they knew what to do to get people back to the movie theater. I can tell you a few things that will get people to want to go out and watch a movie in a movie theater. 1. Lower ticket prices, 2. Lower concession prices, 3. Better movies. I paid over $25.00 for two tickets, and I watched a movie that I didn't enjoy. I even paid extra for something that was called "3D".... It wasn't really what I was expecting for a 3D movie. I went to the concession stand and ordered a small popcorn and a large unsweetened iced tea. The cash register showed $7.00. I thought that was a bit pricey for a small bag of popcorn and an iced tea, but what the heck, I'm on a date, let's splurge a little bit.. Evidently, the person had rung up just the small popcorn. When she returned to the register, she rang up the iced tea... $7.00 for an iced tea??? She said "That'll be $14.00". I was a bit taken back, and my response was... "No". And I walked away. That is grotesquely over-priced. Look folks, as long as we agree to paying these prices, theaters are going to continue charging them. I, for one, quit. I'm over the movie theaters. Too bad. I used to enjoy taking my wife out to dinner and a movie. I'll cook at home and watch a streaming movie on my 70" television. read more

This place should be condemned as a public health hazard. Absolutely filthy. Being run down is one thing. Having fecal matter, overflowing toilets and biological material smeared on (both) women's bathrooms is entirely another. Ashamed to have brought 2 kids here to watch a movie. Never again. We were in theater 6, smaller but good sound. We saw The Fall Guy.when we walked in no one checked out tickets and we scanned our barcode from email since we bought online. Staff was friendly at refreshment counter. They sell typical movie food and drinks as well as beer and wine. The bathrooms are out dated and need a remodel. read more

Theatre is getting rundown. Given that Tom Cruise is about the only thing in Hollywood making movies now, that's a bit understandable. But instead of responding with better service to entice the few customers back for other movies, this place has chosen worse service. Tonight, no lids for the large cups, so the $19.50 bucket refill combo comes with medium drinks - but you can get a refill. But, isn't NOT leaving the theatre the point of going to a movie for $12? When I asked for a large cup without a lid, so I could watch all the movie I paid to see, the attendant had to go see the manager, who just sent her back with a No, he said you might spill it. I guess for next time, Bayou 15 is close enough. read more

WOW... I remember going to this theater when I lived here between 2006 and 2010 and it was pretty great. It has seen better days though. No need to buy popcorn, you will find plenty on the sets and floor when you go to your theater. ahahahah Seriously though, this place needs a refresh. read more

Admittedly, as I've lived and traveled across the country, I'm quite the movie theater snob, so keep that in mind. Unfortunately, this theater has seen better days and probably needs refreshing, especially up to the standard of reserving seats ahead of time. In the times I've come here, it's hit or miss whether the teenager in the ticket booth or at the concession stand cares to see you online proof of purchase. The popcorn is good but boy are portions getting smaller. The hidden deal is to purchase the refillable bucket in January and use it throughout the year...much bigger for those of us who gorge during a movie. Sound and video are okay, but it's lacking some of the niche theaters (IMAX or XD) that really draw people out of their home set ups. read more

Screens are so dark you can't see anything and you will get an instant headache trying to watch any movie.

The movie theater is kinda run down, visibly broken lights. The restroom was an absolute disaster- just a complete wreck. Toilet paper/ paper towels everywhere and it smelt like vomit. read more

The ridge is a privately owned movie theater so usually that goes hand in hand with how good the quality of its employees are and how day to day operations are run, and that is also very true with this theater! The Ridge is always a great theater to go to and is usually our first choice if they have the movie we want to see available; it's never as crowded as the Carmike in Pensacola, and is much closer to where we live. They are always clean and everyone that we have encountered that works there is always very friendly. They have coupons through their app and they also have a virtual punch card for every time you visit and see a movie; 10 punches is a free ticket! The prices on popcorn and concessions are pretty standard, but like I said there are coupons in the app to get discounts. The screens are all average size (definitely not small if you're worried!) and every time we have gone, our theater has always been very clean. If you live in the pace area or you are stopping in for a bite to eat, definitely give them a try! read more

I hadn't been inside of a movie theater since 1988, so that probably affects my impressions a bit. We went and saw the new Spiderman movie at the 4 pm showing, which may have been the reason that there were only about a dozen other people there. I expected high prices at the concession stand and I wasn't disappointed there. They ask $4.50 for a large fountain drink, but you get free refills. I wish that I had remembered that before I chucked my cup after the movie was over...I could have had a go-cup full of ice-cold refreshment. I think that a big tub of popcorn was $4.50 also, but we didn't get any. The seats were nice and wide, with fold-up arms, which makes snuggling up much more convenient than it was in the olden days. Bonus: Drink holders! HOLY HELL!!! The sound crescendoed to tympanic membrane-shattering levels quite a few times. I guarantee that it was loud enough that OSHA would get all frowny if they knew about it. The level of noise might appeal to some people, but I already have hearing loss from my days in the USArmy...I don't need any additional damage. The bathroom was reasonably clean and the theater itself was too dark to see anything. Employees were nice enough. I'd go back, with the right person, but I didn't get much out of the experience that beats being able to watch a movie at the house. I could get 5 movies at the scarlet cube for the $6.50 that I paid to get into the theater...and eat my own food and drink my own drinks. read more

I believe this is a small family owned theatre. It's not as big or nice as an AMC but I like how the employees behave and the quaintness of this place. It doesn't have many screens but they have great concessions and friendly service. The cleanliness was acceptable. read more

I live within walking distances of this place and I would rather pack the family up, drive into any other movie theaters in P'Cola and wait in line for a ticket - then go here. This is a pretty average theatre. The seats are comfortable and they are stepped up enough that there are few obstructing heads to block your view of the screen. If you like a cold theatre, you will love it at The Ridge. It is freezing, so bring your winter coat! If you like it LOUD, you will love that, too! This movie theater is great and I've always had a great experience with the customer service, the food, the prices, and the movie watching experience in general. Great seating most of which is new, and great surround sound in the theaters. Great selections of food drinks and candies and the way I'm treated is always so wonderful and kind. The only theater in Milton/Pace. It's fairly new with very comfortable semi-reclining stadium seating. I don't understand why, but it never seems very busy, even during an opening day/night of a show. And that's perfectly fine with me. read more

This is your basic local theatre with plenty of screens considering the size of its market. As always food and drink is standard but not anymore over priced than the next place. The advantage of here is that you have plenty of options nearby where you can get fast food or casual dining before or after your movies. Screens are a little small but the sound system is good. If you live close it's a good place to go otherwise I'd rather stick to the Pensacola theatres as they have bigger screens and more movie time options. read more

I feel like normally a 2/5 is pretty low, but the phrase "Meh, I've experienced better" could be the slogan of The Ridge. In a pinch, there is nothing really wrong with it, excluding sticky floors covered in popcorn, broken seats, and outdated ads. Honestly, I have never been in a situation where I would not prefer to drive the extra distance to The Bayou Carmike (née Rave) and get a superior theater experience. Also, receipt paper tickets? This place is great. Everything you go to the movies for, good prices, close to Pace/Milton which doesn't have too much else going on. Just as good if not better than a lot of theaters, never had to wait around and there are actual people serving you. read more

Very nice theater, I moved to Pace from Pensacola and it was our first time here. The prices were great, I got popcorn and a soda and it was a fraction of the cost of a theater in Pensacola. The theater was clean, I will be going back again. read more

A very nice theater with friendly staff. Always clean, but it's smaller than theaters in Pensacola. They have the soda machine that you can add flavored, that has the 100+ different options. Prices are average, plus they have a military discount! I believe they also have a student discount, as well as senior. read more
