Katrina is the WORST manager I've talked to. It's not about the water heater now. It's about she's not empathetic about anything happening to the customer/new member. She just doesn't care. She cancelled my membership without notifying me even after I told her that I'm not cancelling it. Her communication style is very ego-centric, selfish, and head strong. She does feel anything wrong with me needing to bear with a defect water heater for years after I made 3 payments to them. She wouldn't allow the tech making 2nd trip to install the unit and leave a few days for us to clear the water damage and build a new base to put the water heater on after my old unit leaked and damage it. I have my water heater replaced with them through American Home Shield. They jacked up the overall cost by charging several parts even though they're essential to install the new water heater, saying they're not covered by my AHS plan. They installed a damaged water heater that the body of the tank was smashed. They said it shipped to them this way by AHS. But it's a totally different model than what AHS gave me beforehand. They want me to go to AHS or manufacturer's warranty if I want but they're not responsible for it. They pushed the deadline to finish the service by end of the month per their schedule regardless I need time to clean up the water leak and the rotten base. They didn't tell me that the water heater was an obviously damaged one till we found out after it's installed. They could have asked for a new replacement from AHS but they didn't. They could have warned us beforehand but they didn't. They could have helped to get us a replacement afterwArds but they refused. They didn't even have a good attitude throughout the process over the phone or text. Katrina is a nightmare!

The price I was quoted was over 12k. I felt the electrician on my job, Jason S. was very high pressure in his tactics and told me I needed to decide that day, or lose potential discounts. I had also been without a kitchen for over 30 days, so I agreed to the work. The next day Jason and an apprentice come out to start the job. They take one whole day to remove and replace the new panel, no problem. Here is where it goes downhill. On the second day of work, Jason and another apprentice came out and instead of prioritizing the circuit I hired him for, they start installing the hardwired smoke detectors Dekalb county allegedly requires. This took all day! By about 4 pm, I asked if he was going to get the outlet done so I could use my dishwasher and he replied "I guess if I stay here all night". I said I guess thats what you got to do then, and they were here til nearly 8 pm. Then he made several other unprofessional comments about staying late. Jason never came back to my job. A new Electrician came out on Monday, Jason said he had an emergency job. The part where they earned this rating comes when I found out my pool motor circuit was not working on the new GFCI circuit. I explained to them it originally was on a two pole circuit and now they had it on two single poles. It was drawing 240v and they had the model number and should have researched the wiring on their own as professionals. Rather than listen to me, I had to wait all day for the new electrician (with Jason on the phone) come up with a new quote to fix which included trenching up and re-wiring my entire pool, ANOTHER 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I was livid. I started looking into this and it turns out I was right, it just needed a 2 pole GFCI. I talked to the second electrician the next day and told him I want to talk to a supervisor or manager. I got a call later in the day from Jeffrey who was going to look into it and get back to me the same day. He did not. He did call me the next morning and agreed to send one of his best guys out to install a 2 pole and see if that solves the problem. Well guess what, it did! And, I didn't have to pay another 5K. I expected to hear back from Jeffrey again to ensure the job was to my satisfaction as you should on a service recovery. I did not. I feel lied to, and that I was robbed and almost taken needlessly for thousands more, had I not done my research which should not be necessary as a layperson. I understand from TE employees the Electricians control the cost, and they get a commission from it. Unfortunately, I paid for an electricians summer vacation because I trusted him. Luis L and Nathan the electricians at TE, thank you! Micah, Gavin, Phillip the apprentices, thank you too! Jeffrey I thank you for doing the minimum by ensuring what I paid for was completed. Jason, no thank you at all. You've sowed distrust in professionals and your industry with your practices.

We had a two man crew led by Tiny and they confirmed the water was only coming from the disposal, provided three options, recommended the middle choice as we use our disposal all the time (a small upgrade from the existing unit), and installed the new one in no time. It's been over a month since TE installed the new disposal and we are very happy. Checked the price of the new disposal at Home Depot and the local plumbing supply, and TE charged only 2X for the install. You don't really see that anymore, what a great value. We recommend TE and will definitely be calling them in the future.

1 Star -- Absolutely Terrible Experience…read more Don't waste your time at this company. Based on my experience, they have absolutely no intention of investing in or keeping their employees. The training is extremely poor. If you don't already have ServiceTitan experience, good luck. There is very little patience for people who are learning, and instead of actually training employees, management seems to get irritated when you don't immediately know how to do something. You are expected to figure things out rather than being properly developed. What made it even worse was the lack of management support during training. Managers would literally go out of town while employees were still not properly trained, leaving people to figure things out on their own. The entire training process was a mess. The hiring process is also ridiculous for an $18/hour position. You go through multiple interviews and three reference checks just to get hired, only to receive very little support once you're actually there. I also had serious concerns about the way employee separations were handled. I was told that I was "not a good fit" without being given a clear explanation. I was also presented with paperwork regarding quitting in connection with severance. Employees should carefully review anything they are asked to sign and understand exactly what they are agreeing to. There were also significant concerns about workplace culture. I personally experienced the environment as lacking diversity and felt that employees who did not fit the existing culture or way of communicating were treated differently. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage leadership to take a serious look at its hiring, training, and employee-retention practices. On top of everything else, there did not appear to be enough work to support everyone consistently. The amount of effort expected from employees does not match the training, support, compensation, or job security provided. Three interviews, multiple reference checks, and then essentially being told "you're not a good fit" without a meaningful explanation? Absolutely not. Don't waste your time. There are much better companies out there that will actually invest in training their employees, provide proper management support, and treat people with respect. This place is simply a mess.

Due to the location of the water heater, it was a complicated removal and installation, but PV did it quickly, professionally, and for a terrific price. From the first phone call to the installation things went smoothly. My husband called PV on a Sunday and the very next day they had a crew on the way to our home. The techs, Devin C and Christopher Jones were amazing. They arrived exactly when they said they would, walked us through our options and always kept our budget and best interests in mind. Once we had a plan, Devin and Christopher got right to work and did a complicated demo, installation and clean up quickly, efficiently and best of all with quality workmanship. We couldn't be happier with our new water heater and will definitely be using PV for all our plumbing and HVAC needs moving forward and will specifically asking for Devin or Christopher because they both went above and beyond to make sure our family had hot water quickly and safely. I'm editing my review to add that yesterday we had to have PV back out, this time to address an AC unit that was not cooling and the tech that they sent, Andre M, was also terrific. Just like Devin and Christopher, Andre went above and beyond to try and fix our issue. PV is 3 out of 3 in our book in sending out qualified friendly technicians that care about their work and their customers. Thank you so much PV Heating, Cooling & Plumbing and especially Devin C, Christopher Jones and Andre M.

Its been a few months and I forget his name, but he was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and quick. But my experience with pricing and management leaves a lot to be desired. So, we have a leak and called PV since they do a basic inspection for free with more intensive diagnostic work costing more. Thankfully, the leak was found with just a visual observation. The plumber told us they could replace our pipe down to the meter for a LOT of money, and it would take all day, or he could just repair the leak for about $1400, but we would get a discount if we signed up for a year long plan that I am not even sure what we got for it. That cost us $70+ dollars but saved us over $140, so it was a net win. My problem begins with the $1400 bill. I absolutely approved the estimate, but the plumber completed the work in under an hour. So I called and complained about such a high bill for an hours worth of work, and spoke to 2 different executives with the company. Both essentially told me the same story: 1 - you pay a professional a premium for their expertise. Like when you go repair your car. Stupid excuse. When I go repair my car, I am given exact pricing for the parts and labor and I have never paid $1400/hour for car labor. 2 - They have a minimum of 2 hours labor payment. Okay, so I am paying $700/hour for plumbing? When i explained that even most attorneys don't charge that, they asked what that has to do with it? I don't know, the same thing as your stupid car repair example? 3 - He was actually at the house for 2 hours. No, he was not, but even if he was, your diagnostic and inspection is free, so don't give me that BS. 4 - They have to pay a premium for quality plumbers and technicians, and van upkeep, etc. Sorry, even though I get that, you're still charging me $700/hour. 5 - I was asked what i thought would be fair. I do not know, but you cannot tell me that is a reasonable hourly rate for this expertise. Maybe $300 or $400 and hour? Isn't that really damn good? 6 - the tech did a great a great job, even going "above and beyond" by installing a pipe sleeve or something like that. Sure, true, he was great, but even the tech told us that the "sleeve" or cover or whatever should have been a standard installation by the person who originally did the pipes. That's not above and beyond, that's standard practice. In the end, they offered me a 10% rebate, but cmon, i still page $630/hour then! This was highway robbery. Again, I fully admit i accepted the estimate, but no one told me it would be a simple 30-45 minute job. This company does good work, but not only will you pay a premium, they will rob you blind. Go with a mom/pop shop or someone local. Not these thieves.

After having another leak in the same spot 6 weeks later, I called Casteel to follow up with the invoice and pricing. Once I recieved the invoice, I noticed that I was charged over $650 to just cut the ceiling to see the issue. Yes, over $600 to CUT THE CEILING, which took 5 mins at most. Then, the repair was performed, which was another $600. I have now tried to contact Casteel for 3 weeks to get an explanation for the $650 charge and I cannot get anyone to talk to me. I have been transferred, hung up on, transferred to full voicemails, promised calls back in 12 hours, etc. Noone is willing to explain or ever give me the time to tell me why my simple 6 x 10 in ceiling cut was labeled as a "level 2" cut - which means it was in a dangerous or inaccesible location, prompting the $600+ charge. Long story short, had the second plumbing leak fixed for $350 by another company, compared to $1200+ from Casteel. DO NOT USE CASTEEL PLUMBING. You will be overcharged. Go to literally any other plumbing company. I hope this finally prompts Casteel to reach out to me, as they can see that I've called 10+ times and there are lots of notes on my account regarding this concern. Had a great experience with Casteel. We were able to get a quick appointment and the tech was prompt and polite. Donald gave a very thorough explanation of the possible plumbing issues. Once we had a plan, he worked efficiently. He was friendly, polite and professional. Highly recommend the company.
