I already was feeling sick from the infection. My husband waited at Walmart till the pharmacy closed and Dr Tran never sent in the prescription! I called the office 1st thing in the morning and found out he forgot!!!! REALLY? I went to another dentist I was so angry. When I called to cancel my appt he answered and denied that he didn't send it in until the next day. Dang what a lie! Staff is amazing!

I have medical issues that reflect in my teeth having problems yet he acts like I purposefully let my perfect teeth go to shite & he behaves as if I don't deserve his time even though I pay cash & it's cost me over $15,000 within a couple years. I'm left with 14 teeth all of which look horrible, out of alignment with no solutions discussed. Refuses to give a referral to a surgeon until he does all the work he wants to do sucking me dry of funds. While I wait for an opening to get work done. Who can drop $3,000 each visit? My cards are feeling the pressure & he has ruined my once pretty smile. I'm embarrassed & ashamed so his treatment of me has succeeded. The despise of dentists is earned. If they want people to like going to the dentist treat them better & put the concerns of the patient first not just the want of money. Overpriced doesn't even adequately describe dentists. The supplies can't cost much & the 10-15 minutes of work put in doesn't warrant $3000, certainly not unfairly judged all of it is earned by him. I'm need a new dentist please help send me a message of who is gentle, attentive, perfectionist to details with a desire to give the best smile possible, solutions not problems.

I'm not giving this place a bad review because the service itself is pretty good, the hygienist who…read moredid my cleaning was both friendly and wonderful at her job, the place was clean, etc. However. I walked out of this dentist's office with a $400 treatment plan (that's AFTER what my insurance covered) for a bunch of cavities the dentist showed me on a monitor and said must be caused by 'eating too much candy.' (I'm a size 4-6. I DO NOT look like I eat a lot of candy. Imagine what he must say to his heavier patients!) The admin staff then pressured me to schedule a series of appointments for fillings, without so much as a 'hey it looks like you're on military family insurance, I'm sorry if this is hard on your budget.' Nope, they acted like a $400 bill was just something I should accept and shut up about for my own good. Instead, I went to another dentist in town, who said that all but one of the 'cavities' they'd shown me were in fact staining, which might SOMEDAY turn into cavities, but might not - he wouldn't recommend any work until he saw it get worse. The treatment plan? One appointment, $34. So, I'm sure these guys aren't bad at what they do, and if you are rolling in dough, or super paranoid about sudden rapid teeth decay, or just love having a bunch fillings in your teeth, AV Dental might be the place for you. If not, go somewhere else.

I have had an implant and several crowns replaced, and all are holding well. He is also affordable. He only charges half of what Bay Area dentists were asking for an implant, and that comes with an in-office CT scan to determine the viability for an implant for insurance approval - and you don't have to leave the country or risk your health for the affordable price! You just have to get to Barstow (a 2-1/2 hr drive or bus ride from Las Vegas or L.A., or an hour drive from Ontario airport). His office manager is a genius at getting the insurance companies to cover their share. I always owe less than anticipated. Their office and facilities are modern, comfortable, and attractive.

So I took my mom and myself to a new dentist. We don't have to tolerate abuse and be LIED to by the…read moredentist himself. First off he told my 86 yr old mother that she need her 4 bottom front teeth pulled and a plate with teeth to wear. WRONG! Our new dentist shook his head and said....NOPE! I'm so glad you came to me. A good deep cleaning will secure those teeth because her jaw bone is just fine! Now I've also been complaining about a crown he put on one of my molars. The day after getting it I noticed it kept hurting so I ran my tongue across the back of it. There's a opening between the cap and my gums where food is getting in....SMH! I told dentist at Jangs and he had the nerve to tell me just to keep it clean and use a toothpick to pull food out! I knew he was full of it. Even our new dentist said its a ill fitting crown which he took pictures of and is submitting them to have it replaced and show them what Dr Jangs office did to me. I kept telling Jangs office that the crown wasn't right. I should have to be in pain after getting a cemrown and I definitely shouldn't be getting food in an opening! Then he yanked some of my teeth telling me they couldn't be saved and crowns were denied. Crown were denied because they could have been saved and I realized that when he had the audacity to ask me....." Don't you want dentures?" Fuck no....do you? Then they kept trying to push us to get my mom's teeth yanked....NOPE! Plus I waited about 2 months to where they were supposed to submit the paperwork for approval for my mom's work and heard nothing. So I would call only to have that bitch that sits in front be rude. She's lucky I bit my tongue quite a few time because she doesn't realize she playing with fire. 2 of the ladies that work up front need a good ass whipping and one day someone is gonna give it to them. I told the one who submits all the paperwork to her face after she had the nerve to be rude to me on the phone that she better never talk to me like I'm her 5 year old child again. Watch out people! Lots of scamming going on at this dental office. Money hungry and they don't care who's mouth they ruin....because they ruined mine and ALMOST my mom's. Its sad how people complain about some of the staff up front and nothing is EVER done about it. Even a few of the girls that work in the back said their very rude to clients. Please look up Bliss Dental Products. I healed 2 cavities with their mineral toothpaste plus healed my receding gums with the gum massage treatment. Don't let ANYONE ruin your teeth for greed!

I use to go to this dentist until they cracked a tooth. I had a tooth with a partial cavity and…read morethey said they could cut out the cavity and save the rest of the tooth. They said they would put a crown on the tooth. The good news is they were able to do exactly that, they removed the cavity and put a crown on the tooth. The bad news is the crown was too big and it caused pain. I returned a few times and they tried but failed to fix it. One day the pain stopped on its own, strange. Even stranger is the neighboring tooth felt funny, not really pain but something was off. I went back and what do you know, the neighboring tooth was cracked, due to the pressure put on it from the over-sized crown. They checked x-rays and sure enough, that same cracked tooth was perfectly healthy just a month before the crown. Right before the crown, I had a perfectly healthy tooth, a month after the crown, a cracked molar on a tooth that was otherwise healthy. Instead of taking responsibility I was treated not like someone who was a regular or someone who just suffered a cracked tooth, but I was treated like I was the villain. They never could answer how that tooth cracked all of a sudden, except "Well you are getting older" and other nonsense. So in the end they saved the tooth with the cavity and the crown stopped hurting, but the process cost me a perfectly healthy tooth, meaning I ended up paying over $1,000 and still lost a tooth. Imagine being out of a tooth, being out of $1,000, and given the run around, and treated badly while denying accountability. That is this dentist, both father and son. I would treat this place like ten miles of bad road.
