Dr. Mamaliger is a very kind and caring dentist. He makes sure the procedure is painless, which I greatly appreciate.

I received a call on Monday stating that I had missed my appointment and I explained that this was due to my dog being in the hospital and was unable to make the appointment. They stated they understood and that I probably wouldn't be charged the $60 for the missed appointment. The next day I receive a call stating that I still have to pay the fee, but I had a $20 credit (which I did not know about) so I only owed $40. I stated that I would not be paying anything and that my dog is STILL in the hospital. She transferred me to her office manager and I explained the same thing. Life happens, and when there is an EMERGENCY the last thing you are thinking of is your dentist appointment. The office manager was rude, condescending and told me they are running a business. I offered my dogs medical records and she still would not budge. She also told me that because I missed an appointment in Dec 2024 I had a "history" of missing appointments. Then when I became upset she kept saying "wow, wow, wow" and then HUNG UP ON ME. I will never again do business with this practice. One question to Whiting... when were you going to share that you had $20 owed to me?

I've never had issues with my appointment starting unreasonable late. Only thing is that it's hard to get scheduled because Ridgecrest is a small town with limited medical resources.

I already was feeling sick from the infection. My husband waited at Walmart till the pharmacy closed and Dr Tran never sent in the prescription! I called the office 1st thing in the morning and found out he forgot!!!! REALLY? I went to another dentist I was so angry. When I called to cancel my appt he answered and denied that he didn't send it in until the next day. Dang what a lie! Staff is amazing!

I have medical issues that reflect in my teeth having problems yet he acts like I purposefully let my perfect teeth go to shite & he behaves as if I don't deserve his time even though I pay cash & it's cost me over $15,000 within a couple years. I'm left with 14 teeth all of which look horrible, out of alignment with no solutions discussed. Refuses to give a referral to a surgeon until he does all the work he wants to do sucking me dry of funds. While I wait for an opening to get work done. Who can drop $3,000 each visit? My cards are feeling the pressure & he has ruined my once pretty smile. I'm embarrassed & ashamed so his treatment of me has succeeded. The despise of dentists is earned. If they want people to like going to the dentist treat them better & put the concerns of the patient first not just the want of money. Overpriced doesn't even adequately describe dentists. The supplies can't cost much & the 10-15 minutes of work put in doesn't warrant $3000, certainly not unfairly judged all of it is earned by him. I had been going to another dentist who told me that I would "always" require periodontic work, and I had accepted that prognosis. When that dentist left town, I had to find another one. Dr. Christenson is very close to where I live, so I thought "why not give him a try"... I've been hooked on him ever since I started going to him. When I started seeing him, I had to have gum surgery (performed by an oral surgeon). When I healed I went back to Dr. Christenson and he took his time to show me what I was doing wrong (not brushing long enough, etc...) and now, because of his expert advice, I no longer need periodontic work!!! And that's been about 2 years now.... I highly recommend Dr. Christenson.

I asked again point blank how much the procedure would be, he hedge again. Sigh. If I cannot trust him to give me the straight scoop on the price, how can I trust his judgment on what procedures to perform? Come to think of it, I came in with one issue (loose crown). He removed the crown and proceeded to do something else that he thought was required that I didn't -- soaking up all of my years dental insurance in the process. And I still had to have the crown work completed. Okay, I'm knocking another star off.
