This is a great apartment complex, especially recently with the new manager Emily! There are a few downsides as with every apartment but I think the pros outweigh the cons. I'll list everything below...
CONS:
- very limited and outdated washer and dryer; the first floor has two washers and two dryers that are very old; the washer takes roughly 31 minutes and the dryer takes about 45. Because there are so many residents, it's often in use and of course not every resident takes out their clothes on time so you're often waiting. The upstairs has one very old, shallow washer and one dryer. I really, really wish the building would get us new ones or at least one more upstairs - (coin operated machines so you do have to make trips to the bank for quarters) - unfortunate they spent money on repainting instead of the washers
- awful way to enter the gated garage! It's not remote controlled! it has an outdated box that you have to drive incredibly close up to to punch in the entrance code; really it's a bother and is time consuming because the entrance is right off the main street and if more than one car are trying to enter, only one car fits in the entrance and the other waits behind in the street - just takes time and sometimes you have to get out of your car to be able to reach the box; really, really wish they would update that.
- walls are thin so you can sometimes hear your neighbors talking or their tv, but again, this isn't a problem just at the Ridgeview so
- if you live upstairs, you can hear anyone walking by and personally my apartment shakes when they do
- the pool often isn't clean/filtered (it's directly underneath a bunch of trees so there's always lots of leafs)
- there have been a few car break-ins, but management did send a letter out about keeping your car safe and hiding valuables
- no-pet policy
- Amazon often has trouble delivering here because they either can't get in or this address sometimes comes up as invalid to them?? Not the apartments fault at all, but it has been a constant issue for me personally
- the manager's office is in the next door apartment complex, The Villagio which isn't really a con but you do have to walk over sometimes (Emily does often try to accommodate Ridgeview residents by offering to leave paperwork on their door so that they don't have to walk over)
- there's one dumpster and it often gets overfilled!
PROS:
- you always get a letter about any changes going on in the apartment so you'll always know about door code changes, fire alarms, needing to enter the apartment, etc. as soon as possible
- Apartment front doors are always closed and locked so not just anyone can walk in!
- Emily is great and quick to respond to any situation or problem; the staff gets repairs done very, very quickly!! Either same day or next day!
- they finally allowed residents the option to pay online instead of just checks
- they have cameras installed and motion-sensored lights for security which is new and great!
- the manager, Emily, is on-site so she's always around to help! She's always understanding and flexible
- parking spaces are usually assigned to get your parking spot as close to your apartment as possible
- have never, ever had an bug problems! No ants or cockroaches!
- it's a really quiet, peaceful space!! I think everyone here respects the noise level and I've rarely had a problem except for one group of college kids who sometimes have a few people over until very late approximately until 2 or 3 but it's not like they're playing loud music, just the walls are a little thin
- CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! The plants are always well-taken care of as well!!
- sends you a birthday card for your birthday! read more
