The process was very easy and I received an excellent sales price and trade in amount for my old 2018 Honda Odyssey. Even during these challenging times my wait for the new car was short and painless.

Avoid this service department…read more I own a 2015 Honda Pilot with approximately 106,000 miles. The vehicle had no check engine light, no loss of power, no exhaust symptoms, and was brought in for nothing more than a routine oil change. After the oil change, I was told that my entire exhaust system was clogged and was presented with a repair estimate exceeding $10,000. I was told the catalytic converters, A-pipe, mufflers, heat shields, gaskets, and related components needed replacement. I was even advised that I would be better off putting that money toward a new vehicle. This did not happen in a vacuum. Prior to this visit, the dealership had repeatedly attempted to buy my vehicle from me. Multiple times I received offers that were a fraction of what the vehicle was actually worth. Then, after bringing the vehicle in for a routine oil change, I was suddenly told it needed over $10,000 in repairs and that I should consider replacing it. When I asked for evidence, I was sent a blurry photo with a few specks of debris circled and was told that catalytic converter material was clogging the exhaust. For a repair recommendation of this magnitude, the evidence provided was astonishingly weak. Fortunately, I did not authorize the work. Instead, I took the Pilot to an independent mechanic for a second opinion. Their conclusion: nothing is wrong with the vehicle. No clogged exhaust. No failed exhaust system. No $10,000 repair bill. Think about that for a moment. A vehicle that was supposedly in need of more than ten thousand dollars of exhaust work was examined by an independent mechanic and found to have no such problem. This is also not my first serious issue with this dealership's service department. During a previous service visit, they returned my vehicle after forgetting to refill the transmission fluid. That kind of mistake can cause catastrophic damage and should never happen in a professional service environment. At this point I have completely lost confidence in anything this service department recommends. Being told that a perfectly functional vehicle needs repairs approaching five figures, while simultaneously being encouraged to replace or sell that vehicle, is not something any customer should have to deal with. If you receive a major repair recommendation from this dealership, get a second opinion before spending a single dollar.

My husband and I waited upstairs in the massage-chair area. While we were there, our technician came upstairs for another guest, saw us, then asked for our name. He told us he had sent a text and "couldn't find us." We never received a text, and he clearly hadn't attempted to locate us because he would have seen us in the same area he had just walked through. When I went downstairs to pick up the vehicle, the interior immediately smelled strongly of gasoline. Staff claimed the smell was "from the area," but I only smelled it inside my car. My husband then came back to tell me the tech admitted he wrote a text but never actually pressed send. We drove off and within five minutes smoke started coming out of the vents. I asked my husband if he saw it and he immediately told me to pull over. As the smoke worsened, we exited the vehicle. My husband opened the hood and it was full of smoke. We discovered the oil cap had been left off entirely, and oil was sprayed everywhere. He also checked the dipstick and found the oil level was overfilled. I called the dealership right away. A young lady sent roadside assistance, but that took well over an hour. While we waited, the technician called asking, "What's wrong with the car?" After we explained, he brushed it off and insisted they "didn't touch the oil" and that we were there for a 55K-mile service. My husband corrected him, telling him we were at 25K miles and that the vehicle had no issues when we drove from Fort Stewart earlier that morning. Instead of acknowledging that the oil cap had likely been left off during the fluid-check process, the technician implied the situation was caused by us. The lack of ownership, urgency, and basic customer service was extremely disappointing. We were eventually given a loaner and told the issue would be looked into on Monday, but I left feeling blamed for a mistake we clearly did not make. We arrived with a perfectly functioning vehicle and left with oil covering the engine bay, the underside of the hood, and even the roof. This could have turned into a dangerous situation, and the technician showed little concern.

When writing up the contract I was given a $1000 "discount"- what he didn't tell me was that was in place of a lower interest rate- which I had the choice of taking. The finance guy was sleezy in that when choosing the option packages that he stated would only add $21 to my payments. After checking the math the bottom line was over $5000 more-- not sure where his math skills came from. I should have walked away then but we got that straightened out but still more than $21 per payment. Somehow the salesman ended up filling out my evaluation of the dealership- I never saw that . The service Dept is a joke. I purchased the oil change package and tire package. My first oil change and service was done- within 10 mins of leaving my low tire pressure light came on -- all 4 tires low that weren't low before I took it in. I called and left 2 messages for the service manager-- never got a return call. I had a nail in a tire that I took it in to be repaired. At 10 am they said it would be about 2 hours before they knew if I'd need a new tire or if it could be fixed-- no call and no response to calls or texts to their service line you are given. Finally at about 4:30p -- 6 hours later- I was notified it was completed. I called the service manager twice that day as well with no response. For my second service I took it to Hilton Head Kia in Bluffton--- EXCELLENT 5- STAR service and friendly people--- I'll NEVER go back to Savannah KIA!!!!!!

This was going to be my third vehicle purchase from them, so I came in expecting a straightforward process. Instead, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish. The salesperson seemed unfamiliar with the vehicle's features and couldn't answer several basic questions. It also became clear the truck had previously been used as a loaner, which was not clearly disclosed upfront. When I returned to sign the paperwork, things got worse. I had texted the sales manager earlier that morning and he told me to come in and that he would personally review everything with me. When I arrived, he didn't remember me at all and I waited over 20 minutes before he briefly appeared and told me I would be sent to finance instead. While waiting for finance, I decided to go get my trade-in and leave because the process felt so chaotic. I then discovered my vehicle had already been stripped down, even though the deal wasn't finalized. I had to wait another 20 minutes just to get my license plate back. I was also told I was "lucky to get financing," which was surprising considering I was trading in a vehicle worth more than half the value of the new purchase and paying the rest in cash. After two prior purchases from this dealership, I expected far better treatment. Sadly, this experience was frustrating enough that I will likely take my business elsewhere in the future.

Ended up going down to the dealership to find out what the heck was going on, service manager told us he was leaving and moving to TX for a better opportunity. Told us he'd have a loaner car for us in a day or 2, still don't have one. He told us parts were ordered and were expected on July 25th. Now, mysteriously, their on backorder! Won't be in until August!! Pacifying customers by lying to them. Got a call from "Al" yesterday (July 27) who delivered the bad news. When we questioned him, he wasn't too happy. My husband hung up after saying "thank you" Al called back immediately and told me husband he didn't appreciate being hung up on, said if we had a problem to contact corporate or go in to the dealership. And then he promptly hung up. Yeah, like they're going to help. Their service department needs a major overhaul. You don't sit on warranty paperwork. If your manager gives you notice, let him go. Get someone else in there before you're department goes down the toilet. He didn't care, he was leaving. Now we are still without a vehicle and it will be over a month without one before they work on it. I'm not even sure I should trust them with doing the work. This is our new normal. People who don't care about doing a good job, satisfying a customer, or giving good customer service. The last time we went into the dealership, the people at the service counter were on their phones and ignoring people who were walking in. No wonder their phones don't get answered. As a former employee of a dealership, I can tell you, they'd be fired for not doing their jobs! Take your vehicle elsewhere. Go to South Carolina cause the one's here in Savannah are all the same. Open your eyes, look at all your one star reviews. This isn't from fly by night customers. One reviewer got it right when he said the service department is a train wreck!

I spoke with a white male on the phone who stated he was in internet sales. He said he had two Metallic Gray ones on the lot for me to look at. We chatted for a moment and I indicated to him I was also looking at the Ford Ranger Raptor. After discussing my interest in performance trucks we set up a time to come into the dealership the next day at 11:00 a.m. for me to look at the Pro 4XR's he had in stock. The sales person said he would have the vehicle ready and moved to the front of the dealership by the time I got there, I immediately scheduled my entire day's activities around this appointment and today, June 2nd, drove the almost 40-mile trip to the Grainger Nissan in Savannah. Upon arrival I was met at the door by a black sales person....I believe his name was Wally. I explained to him why I was there. He seemed a bit confused, but invited me inside and eventually told me to wait while he went to "get the keys" for the vehicle in which I was interested. After waiting for several minutes Wally returned and told me that the vehicles in which I was interested was still on the transport truck in the back and had yet to be unloaded and prepped. He asked me to wait once more while he again departed and left me in the showroom. Wally eventually returned and this time apologetically informed me that they did not have any Nissan Frontier Pro 4XR's on their lot at all. He then told me that Pro 4XR's were special order only and were not usually stocked at dealerships. Of course I had done my homework and know this is certainly not true since there were an abundance of those vehicles on hand at other dealerships within driving distance. Bottom line, this was a completely wasted day....a complete waste of my time and money ....because of fraudulent information and misrepresentation provided me by Grainger Nissan of Savannah. I have purchased vehicles in the past from the Grainger family. In fact my current vehicle, a 2023 NIssan Frontier Pro 4X, was purchased from Grainger Nissan and I most recently purchased a 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring from Grainger Honda. To experience the kind of total failure I experienced from them today is unacceptable and most unprofessional. I will certainly take my auto buying business elsewhere.
